QUESTION BI-LO ~ Free Turkey or 10% Off Certificate promo?

Listed on the site but no details yet. Do they usually do a promo like this? How does it work?

The way it worked last year is you have to buy "X" amount of dollars of groceries. If you buy that amount of groceries you get a turkey token. After you get so many tokens, you get a free turkey. The best way to do this is to go through self checkout and separate your order into the amount needed to get one point. Say the amount is $50.00 to receive a point, if you spent $150 you still only receive one point. However, if you go through self check-out and divide your order into 3 $50.00 orders, you will receive a point for each order. HTH, Necie

My Hartsville, SC Ad says spend $35 or more in a single visit and get one bonus point.

Collect 7 points ( read spend $245) between Oct 1st and Thanksgiving and get a free 10 to 14 lb Southern Home turkey of a 10% off certificate. Limit 2 rewards per household.

Enjoy!

The self scan is very easy. I do sort my coupons first. Regular Q's first, IP's next, and free stuff last. If the Q doesn't go through just hand it to the cashier and she put it in along with any i have for free stuff.

Halloween Re: Free Turkey or 10% Off Certificate promo?

I asked the store manager last night (in Hartsville, SC) why the turkey points don't add up like the fuel perks, where it doesn't matter how many orders you check out, but the total dollar spent. She wasn't sure, but said to keep all my receipts and if I had spent enough to have gotten the points had I split up the orders, then they would make it right on the store level. I thought that was great! I wanted to share this info. maybe your store will do the same. Last night I spent $77. Had I taken the time to split the order, I would have gotten 2 turkey points, but I only got one because the store was busy. I think the management can appreciate that, and make it right in the end.

Good Luck!

In the past it has been per order, not $$ spent (ie $70 in on order is 1 point...but the same order split into two orders is 2 points.).

I have had a store manager or two tell me to split my order in 2 to get the points. I have split in several orders if it isn't busy. If I'm spending $150 I want 4 points!

also, towards the end, you may want to check out the price of the turkeys, as it is usually more beneficial for me to get the 10% off my order than the turkey. Seems to me they were usually $9-12 and if I'm spending $150, then duh... $10 bird or $15 off my order.... (usually I get a Butterball anyway, and just add it to my 10% off) but to each his own as everyone shops differently and has different needs.
