This one is cute, and the diapers aren't all rolled up and annoying.

I like the one in the picture above. Diaper cakes are adorable but if the mom wants to use the dipes it's really obnoxious to have to unroll/unrubberband 100 diapers.

Diaper cakes have been at every baby shower I have been to lately. They were definitely the talk of the party.

yeah, the rolled diapers are a pain - some don't unroll well... the flat type is great!

I dont really roll my diapers when using them for a cake, but I perfer to make my diaper cakes using receiving blankets. And everything I use in these cakes can be used by the mommy.

Some of the instructions want you to roll and rubberband each, that is just a pain and wasteful. I start with a baby bottle in the middle and then place the diaper next to it and use one big rubber band and just kep going out until it's as big as I want and then when they are all in I take some of the diapers out and put in onesies or socks or other little things like that.

I got a whole bunch of the "baby fisrt Christmas" kits on clearance at Wal-mart last year and none of them are really "Christmas" specific so instead or wrapping the whole thing up, I decorate it with those little ornaments and some ribbon, everyone love them.

Oh, and for transport, I wrap a baby blanket around a board and put the cake on it so nothing comes loose.

I didn't read the other posts, I am too lazy, lol so I'm sorry if I repeated anything.

HELP Re: Diaper Cakes?

I am seriously thinking about starting a small business doing these and towel cakes for bridal showers. I am still doing some research on tips to start a business. Any advice from those who did this? I am VERY crafty and have made things such as invitations, centerpieces, party favors, wedding albums, ornaments and even halloween costumes. Last year i put together my daughters winter wonderland Sweet 16 (on a budget of course) and i MADE all the decorations, centerpieces, personalized party favors (clear glass ornaments) and invitations. If i knew how to run my mothers antique sewing machine i probably would have made the dress LOL
Sorry i've been rambling a little but thanks for listening (reading) and any advice i may get.

This is beautiful!! Was this made by some one here or was this from a link?
I want to make one for a shower this month but I have some of the huggies little snugglers to use. I like how the diapers are all white. Any ideas about how to use diapers with designs already on them?
