Oh how I miss the days when I could knit and crochet to my heart's content!

What happened? I had kids!

I haven't picked up needles and yarn in about 7 years. I have quite the stash of yarn though!

Must get back to it once DS is in school and the weather is cooler.

anyone know where I can find a pattern for a ear-flap hat for babies which doesnt require knitting the ear flaps separately and then grafting them to the hat itself, I have searched around a couple times but come up with nothing..... I really want(need) to knit one up, but dont have the time to do the trial and error thing ;) I dont care if its top down or bottom up...but I would prefer knit in the round/ magic looped.....as long as I don't have to graft. much easier for me to just knit it straight through. thanks and will rep for any help finding this!

knittinghelp/com is really great. the videos there helped me tremendously. It took me about a week of practice before I started my first project ("longies"/pants for my baby girl) and I finished them in a week and if I do say so myself I think they turned out really great! also if you search on youtube tere are videos there.

What you can do is pick up the stitches from the edge of the hat and there should be no grafting. If you need more detailed instructions, please let me know and I will quickly work you up a pattern.
