My mom is into scrapbooking. My dad is part of the Freemasons and mom is part of the Eastern Star. This past year, was my dad's first year as Worshipful Master of his lodge (which for his lodge is the highest post you can hold). For his birthday this year, my mom is going to make him an album of everything he did this past year as Worshipful (my idea)...but I think this is going to be a bad idea because I haven't been able to find anything pertaining to these two orders.
My question for you scrapbookers is have you ever seen any scrapbooking paper, stamps, etc that has anything to do with the freemasons or the eastern star. I have been searching on line but haven't had any luck. If any of you have seen any...please direct me to the sites. I would really appreciate it. Just PM me.

I have not ever seen anything (and I am sure that it would have stuck out as my BF was worthy matron about 5 years ago and I did a lot for her ceremony)! And I have been shopping all over the place. BUT with scrapbooking today she could still make a very lovely gift!
1. Does his reign have a symbol/flower/color? My BF had all that for her worthy matron year so you could use all of those.
2. Aren't the colors of the symbol - yellow, blue red green - sort of in a star formation? You will be able to find lots of the various colors to add small accents - paper, ribbon, buttons, brads, flowers.
3. There are companies that will cut out words in loads of different fonts and I have even seen a company that made background paper using anyword (or group of words) you could easily do this on a computer as long as you did not want 12 x 12 paper.
The real star of this scrapbook will be your dad's year and all of the events and accomplishments and less about the pretty little embellishments and do dads! And in my very humble opinion that makes for the best kinds of scrapbooks.
And just cause I feel like tooting my own horn - the reason I feel I am worthy to give advise is I have been scrapping for almost 20 years (that was before some of the "designers" were born) and I have traveled all over the country taking classes about scrapbooking.
If you want any more help, don't hesistate to PM me. I like talking scrapping more than I like talking couponing!

Thanks for the advice..yea...we want to focus on my dad...but I am at a loss...there is absolutely nothing out there that I can see that has anything to do with the freemasons or the eastern star. The reason why we are bringing in the eastern star is because, you can't be a member of the OES unless a family member is a part of the masons...so they technically "sponsor" the OES. So we thought in order to "beef" up the book, it would be good to include some of the activities that the mason's assisted the ES with during the year my father was worshipful.
I guess we will just have to settle for the standard colors, gold/blues/burgundies...etc...masculine colors. and yes...for the OES it is an upside down star with green/yellow/blue/red and white as the color of each point.

What a wonderful gift! Have you checked out this site: Masonic Emblem and Logo Collection
Click on the link for items I personally sell for more possible items.
Are there any brochures, etc she can use? Also, I met a woman at a scrap convention that does laser cut designs that you provide. Sorry I don't have the name available but perhaps if you google those you can find someone to help you.

Can't you print out some clip art or try paper piecing them? If it were me, i'd start by googling for the freemason images and try to DIY.
i was thinking the same...I was also looking specifically for paper that was already made for her back grounds. We don't have a very good printer...so printing color is not really an option.

I scrapbook (but I am not an expert).
For stickers, I look on ebay. I found some stickers pertaining to Scotland, that I was looking for. I frequently do searches on ebay for scrapbook stickers, and can find more of a variety there, than anywhere else.
