There are a line of cloth albums that you can have personalized- SewBeIt - You can send in any college logo etc.. and they will scan and embroider the front. This would allow you to have a distinct album at least.

The reason why we are bringing in the eastern star is because, you can't be a member of the OES unless a family member is a part of the masons...so they technically "sponsor" the OES. So we thought in order to "beef" up the book, it would be good to include some of the activities that the mason's assisted the ES with during the year my father was worshipful.

I guess we will just have to settle for the standard colors, gold/blues/burgundies...etc...masculine colors. and yes...for the OES it is an upside down star with green/yellow/blue/red and white as the color of each point.
I am a Close to my Heart Consultant and one thing I would suggest is buying alphabet stamps and spelling out your father's order and title. You can also make your own background paper with stamps so you could make several different sayings in different colors and sizes starting with the biggest. Then stamp the paper in set of three remembering to also have some images looking like they are coming off the page for a natural look. Check out my blog to see some examples of random stamping. FYI: My blog is not updated to current as I am behind in my blogging. But I will be adding more soon.

Have you considered digital scrapbooking? The reason I ask is because with some digital scrapbooking you can take a picture of say the Mason Symbols and them use the picture as the background (paper). I took pictures of my son's baseball and glove and used the pictures as the background paper for his summer baseball scrapbook. I use the Creative Memories digital software. Its easy to use.
