Even though I see someone already gave you this suggestion, I am seconding it!!...one of the things my g'parents did with me when I was a child...I had visited them in Canada and I am a Florida baby....I had never seen leaves changing....

They took me to a park that had all different kinds of trees, (when the leaves were changing colors and falling) and we picked up the colored leaves from the ground. We made a scrap book of the leaves so that I could remember the fall and the different colors. I still have that scrapbook...a memory that I will never forget.

This is something special you two can make together!

When you're stuck inside, you can start working with scissors. Use construction paper or magazine pages to cut small squares of a single color. Use a glue stick to paste them on top of a clip art picture. My ds did this in preschool with a big picture of a thanksgiving dinner: the turkey leg was brown, sweet potatoes were orange, etc.
You can also make cool art by taping a piece of paper into the lid of a gift box, dipping a marble or two in paint, then dropping it in the box and giving it a good shake.
Great ideas! I think I will try the clip art picture next week...maybe Fall themed. And I bet he would love shaking that marble around.

I have never done the pressing leaves in a book thing...do they last forever?? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I would love to do this too b/c we live very close to the smoky mountains and pretty soon the leaves will be changing colors and it will be gorgeous here.
