    CHAT Sewing & Embroidery Machine

I've decided to purchase a sewing & embroidery machine and I'm hoping you can help point me to any great deals. I'm leaning towards the Brother SE 350 or similar machine. If you have any ideas, recommendations or good sources, I'd greatly appreciate it!!!

I have a Brother sewing machine and I absolutely love it, though it doesn't do embroidery.

Last year one of my favorite sewing shops/blogs did a sewing machine month and lots of people reviewed their machines. There are a couple of reviews for the machine you're interested in getting. Here is the link to the master list in case you're interested in reading those reviews or checking out reviews for another model: Sewing Machine Master List Sew,Mama,Sew! Blog

Whatever you end up getting, I hope you enjoy it. Sewing is such a fun hobby!

I have a Singer and I love it. Brother machines are good, too.

Just be sure you check and mke sure that it can read other designs and that it had a card reader. If not then you won't be able to add any other designs, and you will only be able to use what it came with.

I bought a gently used Husqvarna Viking Designer 1 from a shop for $700. It does about a 6x9, but there are larger hoops. I love it. I got a 90 day warranty, and an offer for free lessons when I am ready.Check out the used too. I bought my first Viking from a lady online about 15 years ago. It is a 1+. I paid $1500 them with all the customizing and digitizing software and some designs to boot. It still works, but needs a tune up. Ever since I learned the digitizing, I started a site :
