thinking about handmade valentines again

Here is what I am thinking this year....I have an 18month old and an almost 3 year old. I have brown paper lunch bags in multitude. I am going to have my kid's decorate the bags by coloring them, stamping them, stickering them, etc.

I am then going to add some of my stockpile items to the bag...in each bag I am thinking I will put a box of raisins, bag of fruit snacks, individually wrapped cookie (weight watchers), 1 Caprisun, and a sheet of stickers.

What i need help with is a "saying" I can put on the bag to tie it all together and not make it sound like I am cleaning out my pantry...

What do you ladies think....is this too over the top or do you think it is neat to do something a little over the top?

My 16 year old hands out 100+ every year. Last year we did the shaped candy/chocolate in small clear bags with pipe cleaners to close the bag and something like "Happy Valentines Day from Carly" on a heart shaped card added to the pipe cleaner. To clarify the candy part: we bought white, pink and red candy melt waffers from Joann's, melted them down and used a cake decorating bag to squeeze the melted chocolate into heart shaped molds.

It was a huge hit and we'll probably do it again this year.

Valentine's Day Treat: Bear Your Heart | Valentine's Day Cards For Kids | Family Fun

I was planning on making these for my friends. Even though we're not little kids it is still fun to exchange little valentines! Plus teddy grahams and gummy bears are easy to find and somewhat more unique than typical valentines chocolate candy. I think I may write some of the cards like "Bear Hugs for ____" and some of them like "I love you beary much" etc.

Felt Fortune Cookies - Martha Stewart Holidays

just checking in to see what you all did this year!!

We went with the camo hearts that say "Valentine, you're out of sight" for both kids' classmates and the felt fortune cookies for their teachers.

I couldn't find any camo scrapbooking paper so we improvised - I bought some camo fabric and wonder-under and I fused the fabric onto cardstock. Cut out hearts, added a strip of paper on the front with the verse and the kids signed the back.

Fortune cookies are all made, but I'm waiting for some creative juices to kick up so I can add the 'fortunes' to them before bedtime!

these are going to my kindergartner's classmates tomorrow. michael's had their valentine stuff 60% off earlier this week. i picked up the buttons for under $2 and just printed the cards at home on cardstock.

DS12's were similar but instead of Mario it was the NY Yankees logo and the writing was in matching blue.
