CHAT Is anyone crocheting this winter?

I love to crochet. I have so many projects going now. My favorite one's are the plastic bag holder I designed. Everyone is asking me for one and some have come back for seconds and thirds. I'm working on a soap sliver holder and a couple of other ideas tossing around in my head. My other favorite is a scrap afghan. I had all these tiny pieces of yarn left over from various projects that weren't enough to make much. So I decided to knot them together and make an afghan. It's pretty wild looking but everyone seems to like it. I also have 2 ripple afghans (my fav) going, a couple of beanie hats for the grandkids and some hotpad/potholders.

JoAnn fabrics has a ton of free patterns on their website for all kinds of crocheted items that I am debating for my next venture. Also I have found using their 50% off coupon for the regular priced yarn makes for a good deal. You just have to buy them 1 skein at a time.

I have been crocheting since I was six....and love it. I get yarn at yardsales, and usually make afgans to donate to the church for their bazaar or donate to homeless shelters. I just love doing it and seeing what I make.

I would love to see your plastic bag holder design. Sounds like a great one.

I have 2 ripple afghans going. I hope to finish one tonight & the other by the weekend. Maybe, just maybe, I'll make another for Christmas. I would love to see your pattern for the bag holder. It sounds interesting.

It's nice to find other people that crochet! I usually only make afghans and right now I've got my first baby afghan in progress.

I love to crochet but I haven't been able to due it in years.(kids, dogs, wrist injury, life get in the way). I freecycled most of my yarns but I would like to start up again now that the kids are growing up (18,16,14,7,1) and I would love to teach DD14. I really think she would like it.
I think I will start with some afghans since the oldest kids are getting to that marrying age then the kids will start comming. I know he is only 18 but by the time I finish a couple he will be old enough. LOL The neices and nephews are already there. Thanks for reminding me of on of my favorite past times.

crocheting is my stress relief !!! And...it's away to make memories and also donate some things !!!! Check out www.crochetville.org one of my favorite places where people will show you what an article looks like when it's done, and see various "takes" on the same pattern !!!!

Oh I love to crochet also. Usually only in the fall (laid-off time) I have crochet baby blankets, afghans, hats, scarfs, dish cloths, potholder etc.

I have wayyyyyyyyyy too many patterns for one person in a life time to crochet but I keep getting more.

Of course tons of yarn also

Yes, Crochetvillie is great and so many wonderful people there too.
