What are her hobbies or interests? If she likes to cook, you could do something with that. Or make her a basket of her favorite foods.
I would like a nice gift basket idea for my mother-in-law. She is the sweetest lady. I have been blessed.
Her birthday is in 2 weeks and then if she likes, it I would like to make her one for christmas also.
She does not use shampoo and she buys her own hairspray at sally's.( she gets her hair done at the beauty shop/ salon)
Thanks for any help.

She is on a weight watchers diet , she has lost over 40lbs so far. Which is good because she has got to come off some of her meds.
My hb ask her last night if she needed something and she told him dishclothes.
I have some free Dawn , I need to buy a pk of dishclothes but what else?

A kitchen gift pack might be cute - esp. if you could find out what kitchen utensils she does not have. You could put matching dish towels and oven mitts in there, and free/cheap kitchen cleaners - a box of electrasol. Some lysol wipes - of course, she could get the idea that you think her kitchen was dirty!
The other thing you could do - is get a weight watchers recipe that you think she would like - there are lots of them on the web - and buy her all the ingredients for it and put them in a nice basket.
I just got off the phone with her. I am making cupcakes while I am on here and on phone a min.
I called to see if I need to buy anything special for them to drink at our daughter's b-day party sunday after church.
She just had surgery a week 1/2 ago on her bladder, she said she couldn't clean house like she wanted to yet and when I read your post I thought about that too.
I like that idea of a kitchen gift basket.
I will have to go out and get a few things , but I have a free cake mix that I am making cupcakes out of now. I don't have any icing or ice cream or chips.
So I have to go them them and I have no coupons for them. I am so use to having some mq for stuff that it feels strange.
I can look for a few things for her basket when I go out.

You can also print off the Scotch Brite website coupons for the Scotch Brite Nail Saver Sponge, and Ocello Sponges. I have tied the Nail Saver Sponge to the Dawn with grosgrain ribbon and packaged it with dishcloths. It's a great gift - it's one that I usually do for housewarming gifts for new neighbors.
There are also coupons out there for Weight Watchers candies.
This may not work with her diet, but I have done this one in the past too. A salad bowl - I get a cute, big wooden bowl at TJMaxx or Marshalls and add in dishcloths, salad tongs, croutons, bacon bits and several bottles of dressing. It's super cute.
