painted rock totem poles. make sure the rocks stack nicely, paint each individually and then restack. put them in your garden!

I actually just did something for my dh for fathers day with my son. It was a photo frame made out of a card board box. I let my ds help me paint and he picked out a picture and stickers to put on it. I got it from the martha stewart website. It was really fun and easy!

thanks. i think i got it out of a family fun magazine...i do like that magazine.

we just did birdhouses out of orange juice containers...

for a rainy day: abc collages....let your child cut out the letters from old magazines and then paste them on a piece of paper...the letters need to be done in order....

I have been searching for ideas to do with my little ones! Thanks to all who posted I am definitely going to use some of these suggestions. LOL!!! I just went back and read my original post! It went like this:

I have a 12 year old stepdaughter who will wake up, totally bored on the first day of summer break!!
I also have my 8 year old grandson, and 4 year old granddaughter 2 or 3 days a week.



Well...that was 3 years ago!!! Now...the stepdaughter is 15 and isn't too interested in "craft time with the kids". The grandson is 11, and has the attention span of a goldfish! I love him, but he's much more interested in Call of Duty on XBox than crafts now! LOL!! But...I could sure keep that 7 year old granddaughter happy with some of the ideas here!! And for that...I thank all of you who have posted here! It's been a long, hot summer!
