Page 63 has an article titled "It's Time to Trim the Fat". The section on food starts:
There are two different approaches to saving on groceries. The Sara Brady way involves downloading coupons from sites like hotcouponworld.com, shopping the local sales and pairing coupons to low prices in a way that's so artful she'll get $21 worth of goods, plus $17 in coupons back, for spending $11. This requires spreadsheets, a couple of hours of comparing items, three to five shopping trips a week, and the discipline not to stock up on stuff you don't want just because you have a coupon.

Thanks everyone, but when all's said and done, Heidi and I are a small part of what we do on this site. We have great mods and wonderful members who regularly post deals, keep the board free of spammers and smack-talkers, and help newbies find their way. We've been able to build a great community because of that, so everyone who's been around posting deals and helping others deserves the lion's share of the credit! We just pay the bills and keep the lights on!!!

I had not looked at our copy of Newsweek until I read this. Then I had to check it out.

Think we will see a big increase in new members???

We had a few hiccups the first day of the article - got a few database errors. But at this point, HCW is on the most powerful single server that's out there. The reality is, we're going to need to pop up to a 3-server tree here soon! We just haven't decided when we're going to do it, but we know it will make a huge difference.

Wow.. you know the kindness on this site just does my heart good.. i had a lady in the grocery line behind me today who saw how good I did.. and she said she would pay for lessons to do what I just did. I said no need to pay just go to hotcouponworld.com and you will learn all you need for free :) she was thrilled and very excited. I felt wonderful and like I had done my good deed for the day. I couldn't have done it without Julie and Heidi doing thier kindness first.. so i'm paying it forward!!
