I see a deal with the wishbone salad dressing and spritzers:

$15.00 - (10) Wishbone salad dressing at $2/3
-$5.00 - SW Promo when you buy 10
-$ 6.00 - (10) .60/1 coupons (from 01/13/08 inserts)
$4.00 - total for 10 dressings or .40 each!

$15.00 - (10) Wishbone Spritzers at $2/3
-$5.00 - SW promo when you buy 10
-$ 7.50 - (10) .75/1 coupons (from 01/13/08 inserts)
$ 2.50 = total for 10 spritzers or .25 each!

Don't forget to use the .55 off of produce wyb wishbone spritzers (hangtag) and I believe there is also a $2 MIR on meat wyb salad dressings. Also there are multiple coupons on wishbone in the database, I just posted what I had in my stash.

Am I missing something--wouldn't the first scenario be that you get $1 overage, and the second $2.50 overage?

I fixed my senerio. The promo on the dressings is $5.00 not $10.00. I was reading the above promo and somehow that stuck in my head. Sorry about that.

Can I tell you how excited I am about the promos this week? My stockpile is looking rather pathetic after the holidays and people in and out eating everything in sight. I don't have time today to sit down and figure it out, but I'll check back in tomorrow sometime. :)

I'm thinking of doing this for the Savings Zone promo:

Rancher's Reserve boneless chuck roast is on sale for $1.99/lb. Most butchers will grind anything for you into hamburger, if you like. Since you get an EXTRA $5 back on $25 purchase of Rancher's Reserve beef, I can get $25 (or about 12.5 lbs) of ground chuck hamburger for a net $15. That's about $1.20/lb. for really good ground beef.

Even if they won't grind it for me, that's still really cheap beef to cook in the crock pot and shred or toss in the oven with potatoes.

FYI on the Rancher's Reserve beef - only one $5 off printed after I bought $25, so I asked the manager, who happened to be steps away. Unfortunately, it looks like the "additional $5" mentioned in the ad was just their way of saying that Rancher's Reserve beef qualified, too. I was disappointed, but $1.60/lb for some beautiful roasts still wasn't bad, so I kept them.

The GG boxes were $1.49 including the Healthy Weight etc and the bags were mostly $3.14 including the breaded Bites. Some of the bags had peelies ($1/2). This promo is on 3 and only 1 per transaction. I got 3 of the boxes with the 50c/2 coupon and paid $1.97.
The Quaker Simple Harvest Granola Bars were tagged at my store as included in the $10/10 deal and were $2.50. The ones I got at Albertson last week had $1 coupons printed inside. The Simple Harvest cereal was $2 (watch code dates though). Don Francisco coffee was $4.09
Thomas English Muffins and Bagels are $2 and there are peelies around for $3/3 I have seen at Fred Meyer and Albertsons so may show up at Safeway too.
Anybody know if one or both items count for bogo stuff on the $5/$25 deal? Lipton teas were bogo.

Where is this advertised jeep.gal`? I don't think I've seen it anywhere?

So for the RR meat, you spend $25 and only get back $5- not $10? I thought it was strange when they listed it as "save an additional $5" So shouldn't that mean you get $10 oyno???

It is on page 4 of my ad on the same page as the Savings Zone promo ad... bottom right corner.

As for the RR on the meat... Although, it could mean buy $25 in the other items, get $5; buy $25 in meat, get "an additional" $5... in which case it is $10 total off. But knowing Safeway, they will interpret it however they wish. I am going to ask management before trying it to find out how they interpret it. "In addition to what?" is going to be my question, if they don't see it as $10.

Merczilla
01-17-2008, 01:16:56 PM
I interpret it as a total of $10 if you also buy $25 in meats. But you never know. lol Question though. Is/are the Ranchers reserve meats hormone/antibiotic free? Does anyone know? I generally don't buy/use beef and don't at all if it's not "clean".

It's a $5 CAT that prints, says something about thanks for purchasing Ranchers Reserve etc,.. The manager told me it's in addition to buying $25 in the other products. So basically buy $25 in other Savings Zone stuff receive $5 CAT buy $25 in Ranchers Reserve meat get another $5 CAT. Gosh, Safeway sure has a way of making their promos confussing...lol. :rolleyes24:

I discovered that if you get Rancher's Reserve meat from the mark-down area, the $25 is tallied by the pre-discount (30-50%) amount!!! That's an awesome deal if you can find the 50% off ones! 12.50- 5.00= 7.50 for 25.00 worth of meat!

Well, good deals for sure on the breakfast promo, especially with the nutrigrain catalina for water. I also did the soup/wishbone once. I had a lot of trouble with the $5 oynp with $25. I have problems with this type of promo every time at my Safeway. I tried it twice, both times meticulous about getting things with tags (not just off the list on their site) and did not get the catalina either time.

I have one more trip today to do my breakfast promo one more time and get veggies.
