I thought it'd be great to start a thread with all of the Kroger Delta Region coupon policies, since they seem to vary by city/store. This way if we know we'll be traveling to a different store in the Delta region, we can be prepared!

Jackson, MS (this is true of the County Line and 55-Frontage Rd stores, at least)

Doubling: Doubles Manufacture Coupons up to 60c; doubles only 8 coupons per transaction; doubling is done by register, so even DND labeled coupons will double, if they start with 5.
Tripling: Does not Triple
Internet Coupons: Accepts IPs up to $1, but some managers may allow higher amounts
Store Coupons: May be combined with manufacturer coupons
Expired Coupons: Does not accept.

I haven't heard that policy about the internet printables (but I don't know that I have ever tried to use a larger one). Otherwise, that is the same policy that we have at the store in McComb (MS) and at the stores I used to shop in Memphis.

I'm in Bartlett, TN and shop there as well as Memphis and Germantown.

Doubling: Doubles Manufacture Coupons up to 60c; I have never had a problem using many like coupons and they have never 'topped out' the doubling at any point. They all double.
Tripling: Does not Triple
Internet Coupons: Accepts IPs up to $1, but some managers may allow higher amounts (this has been my experience as well. Only once has a cashier turned me down on using a higher amount IP and quoted this policy)
Store Coupons: May be combined with manufacturer coupons (I have never tried this)
Expired Coupons: Does not accept.

About the same in Southaven. Except, I've been able to use large internet coupons. I used the $5 off Tylenol there.

Shop in Hot Springs, AR.

Doubles - Register does not double past 8 like coupons. Depending on the cashier and the location, they sometimes manually keep any like coupons from doubling (though their official policy is supposed to be as long as the items are not identical - i.e. different flavors, scents, etc all like coupons will double). I avoid the store on Airport Road for this reason, usually shop the store next to HS Mall.

Triples - They haven't tripled (or super doubled) here in years. *cry*

Internet coupons - Never had a problem with any I've used.

Store coupons - Never tried to piggyback a store coupon and mfr coupon, except for the ESavers, so I don't know. I do, however, use the ones like $1.50/$5 any Dairy purchase home mailers along with coupons for the products that qualify. They usually ask for any "big" coupons like that up front to make sure the total is enough to qualify.

Expired - Do not accept under normal circumstances.

Just thought a sticky was warranted regarding e-coupons that can be used with your Kroger card. They do not double; however, as of now they can be used along with paper coupons for some great deals!

Additional info from sweetmommy (who can be repped in this thread: http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/kroger-cincinnati/116452-summary-e-coupon-information.html):

You can load up to 20 coupons from shortcuts, and 25 from PG and Unilever combined. They are available for use approx 1 hour after you load them. Once they are loaded, the only way to get them off your card is to use them or wait for them to expire. They can be used with manufacturer coupons on the same item (one eq and mq per item).

They can only be used once per card. Once you've used them, you are unable to reload them unless they become available again as a new coupon. You cannot use them again in back-to-back transactions (I tried), even though they may not appear as redeemed in your account online.

They come off your receipt under the product they were redeemed for. A B1G1 coupon comes off as a discount, so it's not a problem using 2 MQ's as well. For example...

Jonesboro goes like this

Doubling: doubles up to .60 but on the DND they get happy. i have to give the DND last or they start hitting that DND button on all my q's
Tripling: triples up to .30
Internet Coupons: accepts IP's only if they will scan
Store Coupons: can be combined with manu Q's
Expired Coupons: have no clue i have never tried to use one

they dont know much about the short cuts, P&G, and Unilever coupons you add to your card but they dont argue it either. yesterday i was supposed to have a pullups q from my card be used but instead it was a diaper q for less value. i didnt argue but just a minute bc the girl seriously looked like she was scared since it was something she had never seen before.

Trying your luck at the register is definitely not the way to go! Many coupons will scan even if they are expired, it's up to the cashier to check. And not all cashiers bother. So it's possible to have an expired coupon go through even if it is against the store's policy. Which might save you money now... but in the long run, it will only encourage the store to apply stricter coupon policies, and cause cashiers to hate "those couponers."

Ask at customer service, or ask a manager.

If your stores won't take them, you can put them up as a potluck here, and there are also programs that will send them to oversea military bases.

Our Kroger in Cabot, Arkansas allows 1 IP and doubles up to 8 coupons that are .60 or less. Some cashiers accept more than 1 IP and some don't but always only doubles up to 8 coupons. No doubles....no fair! :frown:

I looked for it and apparently that post got deleted when things were switched around recently. As the others have said though, it was more of a compilation of people's experiences rather than hard and fast rules, so printing it out to take it with you wouldn't really have been too beneficial.

On the whole, for most of the Delta region it seems like people were able to use IPs that weren't too high (more than a couple of dollars) and that they were able to double up to eight like coupons of .60 or less. My store doesn't have a coupon policy posted (and none of them were able to tell me anything about it), so I have just learned what works for me (which are the rules I stated above). The register automatically doubles the first eight like coupons and ones after that are deducted at face value.

I am pretty sure that tripling coupons only happens in the Jonesboro area. (If anyone else's area stores do, let me know!)

Thanks for all the help. I finally emailed Kroger and this is the response I got back.

Thank you for contacting The Kroger Co. regarding the Coupon Policy for stores in your area. Our policy is as
follows:
· We will DOUBLE Manufacturers' "Cents Off" coupons whose value is .60 cents or less.
· We will double up to EIGHT (8) coupons per identical or "like" items during one shopping visit. Any
additional manufacturer coupons for that "like" item will be redeemed at face value.
· You must purchase product in sizes specified on coupon.
· Offer applies only to Manufacturers' "Cents Off" coupons for items we carry.
· We do NOT double "free" coupons, Kroger coupons, retail food store coupons, or items prohibited by law.
· Amount refunded cannot exceed the cost of the item.
We do accept Internet coupons, providing the following is true:
· The coupon is not for a free product or for more than 75% off the original cost - we do not accept those
from the Internet.
· The coupon scans properly at the register. If the registers do not register, it is most likely not a valid
coupon.
· The coupon is not altered in any way.
Customers who have registered their Kroger Plus Shopper's Card do receive mailings on occasion that have special
coupon offerings based on their shopping habits. If you are not receiving any Kroger Plus mailings, please provide
us with your name, complete mailing address, phone number and Plus Card number and we will be sure you are
correctly registered with us.
We hope this information is helpful. If you have additional questions regarding our coupon policy, please feel free to
speak to store management. They will be glad to assist you. Thanks again for contacting The Kroger Co.

Sincerely,

Russ Taylor

I used my first IP coupons today at two different Krogers in the Cordova/Memphis area to get the juicy juice deal. Anyway, I used 8 coupons this morning without any problem, the cashier even asked me if I needed a special program to print the coupons. Then I went to another Kroger and used 8 more coupons to get more juice. The second time though the cashier (maybe an assistant manager?), said I could only use two of the same IPs on one transaction. He was nice in how he said it, and said that he would let me do it this time, but that is their policy. Has anyone else been told this before? I have no problem with it, if that is their policy. I am just confused on why I was able to do it at the first Kroger. Do all of the krogers have different rules for coupons?
Thanks for reading,
Karen

Some stores do seem to set their own rules regarding IPs. Some only take a limited number (as this one apparently does) and some will only take up to a certain amount. I'm glad he was nice to you and it sounds like the transaction was pleasant; however, I would just keep those deals to another store- especially since I know how easy it is to run to another Kroger when you are in Memphis. I moved to south MS from Memphis and had a time getting used to the fact that there is one Kroger near me and the next is an hour and a half away!

My local store in Jonesboro said that I could only use 2 IP coupons for my total order...it didn't matter if they were like coupons. But, the other day they allowed me five IP's. I really think it depends upon the cashier as to how they handle it regardless of store policy. I was also told they wouldn't take IP's over $1 or for anything free. I know they have taken IP's for over $1 and a few frees in the past.

I shop at the Kroger in Oakland and they will only let you use 1 copy of each IP per day. I think it's probably up to the store manager to set the rules on these.

Just checked w/Kroger in Little Rock on Hwy 10 - also checked with the one on Geyer Springs (two totally different areas of town)

Doubling: Doubles Manufacturer Coupons up to 60-cents
Tripling: no
Internet Coupons: Accepts IPs; the mgr at the Geyer Springs (GS) store said $1.75 is "about the highest I would go." She said absolutely no IPs for "free" products. Told her most of mine were from coupons.com and were 40- to 60-cents off she said those were fine. I know at the GS store, the cashier has to take all IPs to CS for approval. Not sure how Hwy 10 handles them practically.

There are threads about this new website: www.cellfire.com (http://www.cellfire.com) in several of the Kroger forums, so I thought I would add a thread here so y'all didn't miss out! It is another site for e-coupons. You are supposed to register your cell phone and then access the coupons through that when you are out and about; however, I just signed up with my home phone. I skipped the part where it asked me to enter my verification code by just logging in with my home phone number at the top of the page. I have loaded coupons to my Kroger card but haven't redeemed them yet so am not personally vouching for this yet!

FYI- Kroger didn't show up in my list of offers. Since there isn't one in my zip code, I changed the zip to one a few miles away and then Kroger appeared.

I just got this email reply this evening, I had written asking what their policy was as far as Coupon usage at the PB Missouri store where I shop and this was their reply. (Apparently they take expired coupons also):

Dear (Name Removed):

Thank you for contacting The Kroger Co. regarding the Coupon Policy for stores in your
area.
Our policy is as follows:
Double Coupons:
* Manufacturer coupons of $.60 or less will be "Doubled".
* Manufacturer coupons over $.61 will be redeemed at face value.
* Up to Eight (8) coupons will be "Doubled" per Identical or "like"
item per shopping visit. Any additional manufacturer coupons for that "like"
item will be redeemed at face value.
* This does not apply to "Free", Kroger, Catalina, Retail Food Store coupons,
Electronic Coupons on the Kroger Plus Card or items prohibited by law.
Pharmacy Coupons:
* We do accept Competitor Pharmacy coupons.
General Coupon Policy:
* Limit one (1) manufacturer coupon per item purchased.
* Limit one (1) store coupon per item purchased.
* One (1) manufacturer and One (1) store coupon can be used on the same item.
* Coupons cannot be used on "Free" items.
* We do accept coupons that are expired.
* Amount refunded cannot exceed the cost of the item.
* The store manager has the right to accept, decline, or limit the use of any coupon upon
view.
* The store manager has the right to limit the Quantity of coupons/items used/purchased
in a single transaction, by a single customer, or in a single day.
We do accept Internet coupons, providing the following is true:
* The coupon is not for a free product or for more than 75% off the original cost - we do
not accept those from the Internet.
* The coupon scans properly at the register. If the registers do not register, it is most
likely not a valid coupon.
* The coupon is not altered in any way.

We hope this information is helpful. If you have additional questions regarding our
coupon policy, please feel free to speak to store management. They will be glad to assist
you. Thanks again for contacting Kroger.

Wanted to ad a few things to your notes. What you have applies to the I55 store, Flowood store, Countyline store, Pearl store, and Brandon store.

Also the new Kroger corporate policy is to accept all IP's up to $3. Believe it or not I called and complained about a store not accepting the Kroger Comforts $3 IP from their website and the manager called corporate. She called me back and informed me that because of me, the corporate policy had been changed to accept IP coupons up to $3.

UGGH! My krogers coupon policy directly depends on the cashiers moods, the alignment of the moon and what color shirt i'm wearing. I'm kidding of course but I swear it seems that way. Everytime I go it's something different, I go as rarely as possible, but I couldn't give up free wipes last week w/ my 5/3 comfort care coupon.

the last time i went the policy was

double up to .50 (but only one per item)
only 2 per item (second one won't double)
i've never seen any coupon special/promition like triples.
