Asking for doubles at Cub

Being on the board and seeing the great deals people get with doubling coupon makes me jealous so...

Why not write to the company. I know Cub is part of a nationwide company whose other stores do double so why not us? I wrote to them this morning and am hoping many of you will join me on my quest:biggrin:

Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for cubs prices(lower than Rainbow) and them taking expireds, but maybe we wouldn't need to use expireds if we had better sales to use our coupons on.

I'm not sure if all of them, but a lot of them in MN take expireds up to 3 months.

Yes, that's their parent company, Super Valu owns a lot!

Always ask mngmt before you start shopping, because it's a big waste of time to look for things you want with an expireds if they're not going to take it.

I have a SuperValu near me in Indiana... they double up to .50. So why doesn't Cub?!

I just emailed them! Here's the text:

Good morning! Living in Minnesota, I currently do most of my grocery shopping at SuperTarget. Honestly, their regular prices are unbeatable at this point in time. I would, however, like to suggest that you consider offering double coupons at Cub Foods in Minnesota. I would really appreciate it, and you would gain a loyal customer! I understand that many other stores under the SuperValu umbrella do offer double coupons, and I have friends and family would would definitely shop at Cub Foods much more often if this were offered.

Thanks for starting this campaign. :BigHand:I have long wished that Cub Foods doubled coupons, but never took any action. Thanks to you posting the link I have emailed them and sent the link to 40 area moms asking them to also email. Maybe the queaky wheel shoppers will get their way?!

I am VERY greatful for the fact they are the only store in our state that accepts expired coupons, I wonder if asking for coupons to be doubled would jeopardize this. They already off the gas promo and expired promo, so I am just sticking to be happy with that!

I am however all for petitioning for rainbow to bring it back.

Have you alll been in there on a wednesday now that doubles is over? It is REALLY dead in there.

I hardly ever shop there either, even though they are only 1 minute or less from my home to their parking lot - because they don't double coupons! And ours only allows 2 like coupons per transaction - so I asked about that too. I told them they are limiting their business due to these strict coupons policies.


Oh, and ours doesn't accept expired c/o's (Blm/Nml, IL), I accidentally handed one over one time, which was scrutinized and then handed back to me.

Omg! How sad iwannabeamomx5. The one in Burnsville (E Travelers Trail) has GREAT service. They take expireds all the time. If you ever come down to Burnsville you might wanna check it out!

I for one would not like them to stop taking expireds and double instead! I would love the option of doing both!!!! Even if it is only to .50! I know that a letter writing campaign does work as lots of local MN gals got a petition together for Rainbow to double again! I know from a friend who works there said that made a huge difference.
Hope someone here can post an area or specific person to e-mail our request for Cub. Thanks for all the Help!
