It's worth it to check with your Albies' in-store pharmacy to see if they take competitors' Rx coupons. I was able to use the $25 CVS coupon from last week's ad yesterday, and they added an extra $5 to the GC. I don't know if that's a YMMV thing or not, but I would rather have an Albertson's GC than a CVS one - it's getting harder to use my ECBs up as it is. On top of that, when you bring in a new/transferred Rx to them, you get a coupon booklet with mfr coupons on HBA stuff, and another $10 Rx GC offer that expires 12/31/07 (the booklets are while supplies last).

Well, I guess it would help if I would have answered you last year  I got the $50 coupon from an Atlanta newspaper. But, in this last Tuesdays Oregonian they had the Safeway $25 RX coupon. I have used it twice this week at Albies ummm and Safeway too :wink7:

My Albies will also accept the Rite Aid coupons. I've found that the Albies' that are physically closest to Rite Aid and Walgreens will take them as competitor coupons. The Albies that is isolated by about 5 miles will only take Fred Meyer as a competitor q. It's all about "location, location, location!"

Dumb question, but what exactly is involved in transfering your persciptions? I've never done it before, but it sounds like I am missing some good deals...

It's not hard at all to transfer. I only do it when I know I have at least 1 refill left, so that somebody doesn't need to call the doctor, too. The pharmacist will call the place where the Rx was, and get the information and then fill the Rx for you. You'll have to supply any insurance information or info on drug allergies, etc.

I used a QFC coupon at Albies pharm last fall. Then last month I went to the same Albies pharm and was told that I can't use a comp coupons for a giftcard because it's limit one and I had used one last time :( I was wondering if it's worth it to try a different Albies pharm or are they all connected? Has anyone else been told this, that it's limit one per person?

I've been able to use comp coupons at different Albertsons with no problem, but only on different medications. For example, I don't take my thyroid to Albies A one month, then to Albies B the next month, etc. I don't know that all Albies pharms are connected. Three of ours say Osco, but the fourth is a local pharmacy. Maybe they've changed it to one per family member at each pharmacy? I hope you can get it to work!

Mine is a Save-On. Now they are giving a 10% off Q after 5 scripts. Whoopee. I'm gonna save a lot with that, eh?

I have a new script and wondered where to take it and get a gift card. WG, RA? Any ideas?

My albies is a save-on...I tried to transfer my RX, but they have their own promo going on., so they are not doing anyone GC offer. Theirs is to: Fill 5 RX's and get 10% off your shopping order. whoo hoo  I told them their deal sucks and I would go else where.
