What is this SCR thing you are all talking about?
The SCR is the RA Single Check Rebate program. There are literally dozens of rebates published every month in a booklet that you can find in the store or online.
If you are newbie please click here for details. (https://riteaid.rebateplus.com/faq.asp?)
Can I have more than one SCR account?
You can only submit ONE account per HOUSEHOLD.
Phone Number
1-800-RITEAID (1-800-748-3243)
Single Check Rebate Phone Number
1-888-213-9920
Does RA take coupons?
Yes.
Does RA take competitor's coupons?
YMMV: some stores will, some won't. The best thing to do is ask!
Does RA accept expired coupons?
No, not even their own RA-issued coupons.
Do you need a loyalty card to get the sale prices at RA?
No card needed!
Does RA accept coupons for over the selling price of the item?
This is a hard question to answer. In some people's experience, as long as it scans there isn't a problem. Most times they will manually enter in the coupon. Overage is a definite YMMV type thing.
With the right situation, you can sometimes get overage. EX: when there are $1/3 Act II coupons out and RiteAid has the single packs on sale at 4/$1, 4 of these coupons used on 12 single packs will result in $1.00 overage!
Can I use a RA in-ad coupon in combination with a manufacturer's coupon?
Yes, you can, but some managers will not allow it.
If the coupon has a manufacturer bar code, you can't stack them. If the bar code begins with RC, you can, but many managers won't let it through. Mine lets them, though, so go ahead and try!
Does RA accept Internet printable coupons?
Yes, but the value of the coupon can not exceed $5.00
How do I sign up for RA printable coupons?
STEP ONE: https://www.riteaid.com/myriteaid/login.jsf
STEP TWO: click on the "REGISTER NOW BUTTON"
STEP THREE: enter requested info
STEP FOUR: CHECK YOUR EMAIL that you used to sign up--there will be a link that says finish or complete registration--click that!
STEP FIVE: After clicking the link it will take you to log in--once you log in, it will take you to a page to where you can push the "print" button--make sure your pinter is on.
STEP SIX: You do have the option under properties when you go to print--to change the quantity of copies you want. REMEMBER--YOU WILL ONLY HAVE ACCESS TO THESE ONCE PER EMAIL ADDRESS. If you already used an email address to access these "sign up" coupons........you will NOT be able to use the same email address again.
These are RA coupons
Do I have to buy 2 (or more) of something to get the advertised sale price?
Generally, yes. It is usually stated in the as in very tiny print that "You must buy 2 (or 3 or 4) items to receive the sale price. Single items will be charged at regular retail." Or something along those lines.
Does RA gives rainchecks for out-of-stock sale items?
Yes, they give rain checks. Make sure that they use the raincheck key on the register!
What happens if the item that is out of stock is FAR or has an SCR? My store never gets the items back in stock before the end of the rebate period!
You can still receive your rebate after the SCR period. Click here for details. (http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/riteaid-eckerd-brooks/184376-riteaid-rebate-rainchecks-101-a.html#post1352817)
Is there a limit to how many receipts you can enter each month?
No. If you shop there 15 times that month, enter all 15 receipts.
FYI: If you create an account and enter your receipts ONLINE, RA will send an email to let you know when they have posted, as well as a reminder to request your check at the end of the month!
I entered my receipts, the rebate posted, and I got my check! Now, I entered more receipts, and it says that I am ineligible for the rebate. What's up with that?
They call it a Single Check Rebate for a reason! RA will only send one rebate check per rebate period.
"You can request your check at anytime during the program period but you will only be permitted to request ONE CHECK per household or address during the program period for all eligible rebates. Please make sure you have finished shopping because rebates are available throughout the entire month."
What's so great about the RA rebates?
One check is nice. Yes, you do have to wait until the end of the month, but patience is a virtue!
Also, since they can be done online, you still have your original receipt available for any manufacturer's rebates that might be out there. Double the money! Go here to enter your receipts online: https://riteaid.rebateplus.com/default.asp
How long does it take to get my check once I request it?
Processing takes a while. Your check will usually arrive about 3 weeks after you request it. Also, be aware that the check comes as a postcard and can be easily missed or thrown away with the junk mail.
What do I do if my receipt isn't credited?
Click here for details. (https://riteaid.rebateplus.com/faq.asp?action=view&faqconstid=MISSING+REBATE+ITEM+ON+ACCOUNT)
My ad shows that there will be double rebates. Will I get double rebates for everything that month?
The double rebate is posted in the ad as double ONLY for the week and items for which they will apply, so if you buy that item during the double period, it will be a double rebate. If you buy it before or after, you are out of luck. These are SPECIFICALLY advertised as double SCRs.
Both RITEAID and WALGREENS have some of the free rebates deals...such as the Got2B free after rebate in August. If you participated in RiteAid's, does that mean your ineligible for the Walgreens also??
No. Two different stores = two different rebates!
Do all of the qualifiers for a rebate (example: SCR says buy X, Y, Z to get gift card) need to be on the same receipt?
No. You can enter them throughout the rebate period. This allows you to buy things the week that they are on sale to maximize your savings!
Can I use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale?
RA policy states you can use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale however managers/cashiers may not be aware of this so YMMV
Can I use 2 coupons on a BOGO sale?
This is YMMV
What if I lose my receipt with SCR items on it?
The store manager can generate a receipt at the store of purchase. You need to know around what time you checked out, what what you bought, & what register.
Do BOGO items count toward the SCR?
If the SCR says purchase X QUANTITY then YES the BOGO product will count toward the SCR.
If the SCR says purchase X DOLLARS worth then NO the BOGO will NOT contribute toward the SCR.
Will Rite Aid Price Match Prescriptions?
YES--even the 4.00 prescriptions at Wal-mart
Can a product purchased apply to multiple rebates?
It can, assuming the purchase is made during the eligible purchase dates for the multiple rebate offers and of course the product must also be an eligible product for the multiple rebates. This is sometimes referred to 'double/triple dipping'.
Example: let's assume there is a Johnson & Johnson month long Rebate of $10 when you buy $25 worth of J&J products including Listerine Mouthwash 1 litre or larger. Let's also assume during that month there is also a rebate of $5 when you purchase three Listerine products. If you bought 5 1-litre bottles of Listerine mouthwash for $5 a piece during the rebate period, you'd qualify for both rebates.

If the coupon has a manufacturer bar code, you can't stack them. If the bar code begins with RC, you can, but many managers won't let it through. Mine lets them, though, so go ahead and try!
In this weeks ad (10-22 to 10-28) There is a coupon that says "Manufacturer's Coupon" on the top, but then has an ad written right on the coupon that "Additional Savings available in most Sunday papers"
I am going to keep this coupon with me so that anytime they try to tell me they can't be combined, I will show them how their own ad says they can.

Does RA accept Internet printable coupons?
Not anymore. They will only accept printed coupons from their own website, like those for the skin care booklet.
Mine accept internet coupons as long as they scan. Goody for me!!!

Mine has accepted internet coupons that don't scan--but they were only for .25--they might have been more picky for a high-value coupon.

Sorry for so many questions, but I'm new!
For the Rite Aid SCR system.....if you have to purchase $x.xx to get the rebate, does it all have to be in one transaction?
I bought half of what I need for the KC rebate and I planned on buying more, but it says that I didn't purchase enough. Will this change after I purchase more?
TIA!

unless otherwise noted in the rebate offer, purchases can be on more than one receipt. be sure to purchase during the period the offer is valid (some rebates are only valid 1 week out of the month).

when sufficient purchases are entered to meet minimum purchase requirement, the SCR online should show you qualify for the rebate. if not, call or email RA.

Did you enter your receipts online? I had one where the rebate period for an item spanned more than one month so I hadn't requested yet. There was a rebate for an item on the same receipt for the current month. I didn't even realize it. They sent an email that I'd forgotten to request my rebate and they'd done it for me. I got my check! HTH

If you can't get it to work online it might be worth calling. I suspect that they can override it if you sweet talk the CS rep enough.

I have a very newbie question.. How is the rebate amount calculated at RA?? Is it the price paid before any Qs or the final price after?? For example, for Excedrin Back & Body @ 2.99 - $1/1 Manf. Q, do I get a rebate of 2.99 or 1.99?? TIA

Is there a way to "clear out" your history on the SCR site?
There are several GC offers I did not qualify for (and knew I woudn't) that always show up on my Detailed Status page for SCRs.
Some are from as far back as Dec. and always at the top. I'm tired of looking at them.

So I think I maybe a little confused... you can use a b1g1 coupon for a b1g1 item and not pay for the b1? Or is it you b1g1 use your coupon then get another one free? Also if you don't have b1g1 coupons can you use a coupon for each individual item even if its free? Like a b1g1 deal and use two $1/1? I hope you girls are understanding me... :shrug7:

This is generally YMMV. Some stores will let you use 2 coupons on BOGO items or a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale. IE 2 free items. Sometimes you will run into a cashier who is goofy and they wont let you do it.

They do not limit manufacturer coupons. However, the in-ad coupons that you can stack with the manufacturer coupons generally state a one per customer or limit one for the in-ad coupons.

I made a rebate shopping list off the RA website, and noticed some of the items say "Rebate Amount: $X.xx", while others say, "Rebate Amount: up to $X.xx". If it's an "up to" rebate, and I use a coupon, is the rebate taken off the post-coupon price, or is it still the pre-coupon price? I don't want to waste coupons if I'm not really going to get the good deal.

Are you asking about claiming the exact same rebates from the mail in form from the booklets as the ones you type online?
I dont think anyone would try that. They would also be able to easily reject this since you just send in the same info that you type online. They would likely reject both submissions has fraudulent since they didnt really know who bought the stuff.

The rebate says Buy $20 shampoo and hair care, get $8 rebate. Do I have to do it all on one receipt, or can I spread it out? Rite Aid just took over Brooks here, but I've done two of the SCRs and like the format. If you enter what receipts you have, it will notice that you have some participating items and if it isn't up to the required amt, it will say something to that effect. Keep putting your receipts in and when you do make it, it will tell you (give it 24 hrs to update). I know for past promos, unless it specifically says "must purchase in one transaction", it will work in a gradual way... just gotta keep entering those receipts! The rebate says Buy $20 shampoo and hair care, get $8 rebate. If you don't live in CA or NV you don't have to worry about it. It is saying that some stores in those states may not have the offer. It's not saying that only CA & NV have the offer.

The RA manuf. coupons are NOT REALLY manuf. coupons. They are store coupons and can be stacked with regular manuf. Qs.
How do we know this? Sometimes in the ad there will be an in-ad coupon that claims to be a manuf. coupon and printed right on the coupon is "See most Sunday papers for additional coupon savings". Thus it is clear they can be combined. Also, the registers will only allow one regular manuf. coupon per item without beeping, but 1 manuf. and 1 RA will go through no problems. Finally look at the barcodes. They are nothing like a regular manuf. coupon.
If they don't allow you to stack them at your store than wait until an ad has one of these coupons and keep it to show when they give you problems.
However, just to gum things up, occasionally they will have a REAL manuf. coupon in their ad. To tell for sure, look at the barcode. Real manuf. will only have numbers. RA store coupons will start will letters.

The Rite Aid coupons start with RC for RiteAid Corporation. They say mfg coupons but aren't & my store allows me to use both. Real mfg coupons don't start with letters and you cannot use two real mfg coupons on one item. That's illegal.

What do I do if the receipt I entered has a rebate on it that is not showing up when I enter my receipt? I bought the Excederin that was on sale this week for $5.99 and another rebate offer came up for the candy , but this one did not. The same on the crest spinbrush. It did not come up.
Thanks in advance!

I bought the Excederin that was on sale this week for $5.99
The excederin rebate was a manufacturer's mail in rebate ... not a SCR
It came in the Sunday insert next to the coupons. HTH

I had an issue while cashing out.... I tried to use 2 manufacturer coupons for two bottles of franks hot sauce. Which in a grocery store would have been fine. But aparently not at Rite Aid. I had to split my order into two orders because they said that I could not use two manu q's on two items - one coupon per person per order.
WTHeck?
So, I had them void out the transaction and I started over two separate tranactions.
I think this depends on the store. But just a heads up.
I got everything I went there to get (just not the Baby Magic).
They would not let me use the RC4 coupons (which is supposed to be a store coupon) with a manu coupon.

that's weird! Most likely your riteaid is not coupon friendly.
I bought 4 packs of sunsweet prunes and used 4 MQ without a problem.......
I do have problems combining a RA Q and a MQ for an item. I can use either/or at my converted eckerd's. However, at my regular Riteaid store, i have no problem combining both Q's.

I looked for the answer to this question but didn't find it....hopefully someone will be kind enough to answer it for me.
I went to RA today for the first time! I wanted to get one of the Sally Hansen products and I found the small tweezers for $4.95. They were B1G1 and my receipt showed "$4.95" for the first one and "$0.00" for the second. Does the free one earn the $5 rebate? Or will I only get one $5 rebate for the purchase?
Thanks!

Okay, I guess that's fair. But marking each one half price woulda been much better for me! Oh well, I'll end up with 6 free products so I'm not complaining! Repped.

When do the next month's SCR deals get put out? I know we have a week, but I'm looking forward to trying to roll my $20 from GOS. I love 'reusing' money.
My DH tried to tell me I've been spending more money at Walgreens. I had to explain to him about their rebate program and that I've actually been reusing the same $10 over and over and over and over. Hoping to do the same here.

I vaguely remember seeing a discussion on this before.... but I can't remember what was said.
When you get a SCR on a post card. Do you actually cash it at your bank or take it back to the store?
It did have routing numbers but I don't want to deposit it at my bank and find out later that it is not a real valid check per se.
Thanks in advance!

I entered my receipts, the rebate posted, and I got my check! Now, I entered more receipts, and it says that I am ineligible for the rebate. What's up with that?
They call it a Single Check Rebate for a reason! RA will only send one rebate check per rebate period. The best thing to do is to make a note on your calendar and remind yourself near the end of the rebate period!

Seriously i hope you are correct. So since I requested my SCR like in the first days of January, I can no longer enter my other ones. So AFTER the rebate period, I can enter the old one right?.....'cause i got like $50 coming to me....IF I can get them entered.
I called the other day and the CS girl was JUST ITCHIN' for a fight. She kept pausing trying to get me to hang up. She had asnarkiness to her voice as well....oh boy did she want to fight and show me how stupid I was...too bad! I didn't fall for it! No, you can't enter them now. They are for a rebate period for which you have already requested your check.
You are done until the February rebate period, when there will be a whole different set of rebates available.
I hate to say it, but you are out the $50.

Since you requested the check for January you will not be able to enter your receipts online for january. You have "closed" your rebate period for january. Even When february starts you will not get credit for these rebate items if you enter a receipt. Your 3 choices are:
1. Enter them in a friend or relatives name that you trust to give you the check for the new stuff
2. Call the SCR CS number and likely fax in the receipts to get credit. They should send a courtesy check
3. You will need to return the stuff to get your money back, but not have the items.

Hi! I'm new to this and have a question. I bought 2 items that have rebates standing alone. They also apparently can be purchased as part of a bigger grouping for a different rebate. The Rite Aid computer spits out "sorry, you have purchased everything required". I emailed, they responded with mumbo jumbo, I faxed them everything they requested in the email. I guess I'm wondering if this is a common issue, that they'll fix, or where it's just an odd thing for this month. Maryanne

I am new to this sight and trying to figure all this out.
I plan on going to rite aid this week as the sales this week is fabulous plus I have tons of coupons for items I use. Now my questions:
1. How many coupons do they allow for a product? For example: They have softsoap on sale for 99 cents each. Is there a limit that you can buy for 99 cents? I have 35 cent coupons. Can I get more than 4? or is the limit 4?
2. I checked out the most often questions and couldn't find this. It said to join rite aids website and then join the single check rebate part. I did that but when I click on the list of stores that participate only CA and Nevada come up? I live in NJ. My store flyer says there is a single check rebate. How do I claim them? Does it work for NJ as well?

If i am understanding you. The sorry part is for the "group" rebate. THis would mean you did not get everything required to qualify for that rebate. If the items have their own rebates and you bought the right stuff you should get the credit for those. Double check when you log in. You should see the rebates you qualified for on there. JUst because you did not get the group rebate you still should be ok for the others. YOu will need to determine why you did not get the group rebate. IE did not buy enough etc.

1. They usually do not limit you on products (except for rebates). They can limit you if they want in the store.
2. ALL Rite Aid store participate. The list of store you clicked on are a select group of stores that have their rebates on a different time frame than the rest of the country. You will be fine going to your NJ store and getting the stuff.

I emailed them. They emailed me back. Said that I didn't qualify for the individual rebates. But if I thought they were wrong I should fax or mail them (1) my name/address (2) the UPC codes (3) the rebate numbers and (4) copy of receipt. I faxed everything. And practically immediately the 2 individual rebates showed up on my detail online. So the good news is once you prove they are wrong they move fast. The bad news is apparently there is a computer glitch with the items that have individual rebates or can be used as part of bigger rebate. Maryanne

I don't know that they will "cash" the rebate check in the store, never tried it. But, you certainly can cash the check at your own bank and then purchase the card with the cash. Or, deposit the check in your bank account and then use a bank card or check to purchase the gift card.

Yes. coupons and rebates combine. So you can make $$ if the thing is FAR and you have a coupon.

Yes, you just enter your receipt as normal and you get the regular rebate money back (so you basically make money on a transaction like that). Coupons are not taken into account for the SCR's.

My Rite-Aid never has the deals. If they do they have like 4 packs of toilet paper and if you are not one of the first one's there on Sunday you don't get them. They give rainchecks. However, if you use a rain check you can't use a coupon. Like if Dawn is on sale for $.99 and you come in a week later and get it w/ a rain check you can't use a $.25 coupon. Is it like this at all Rite-Aids?

That doesn't sound right. I have always been able to use both a raincheck and a coupon at Rite-Aid. I am in NY, and I see from your profile, you are in California, but that shouldn't make a difference.
Were you denied use of raincheck w/ coupon at just that one Rite-Aid, or at others too in the same area? By just one cashier, or by more than one? That doesn't sound correct to me if they are refusing to accept RC w/ cpn and if they are telling you it's their official policy.
Perhaps someone else on this forum can better advise you how to doublecheck the official policy - I don't know if you should ask the store manager (as opposed to a shift supervisor who may not be as informed or knowledgeable) or call the national toll-free number.

I live in a remote town(not even a Walmart here) an hour and a half away from the next town. THere is only Rite Aid, Albertson's, and Kmart. Makes for some sucky shopping. Anyway, it was not only the cashier but the manager on duty that told me that they can't accept a coupon w/ a rain-check. I wondered about contacting the home company but, figured I'd ask here first.

The manager on duty may have been a shift supervisor, and as I said, they don't always seem to be that well-informed (at least in my experience).
Hopefully, someone w/ more knowledge of Rite-Aid will post soon to tell you whether you should try to find some way to ask the store manager directly or just contact the corporate office via their toll-free number/Web site - not sure which would method would be best. I've been sorely tempted a couple of times to go above the shift supervisors, but have yet to do so myself! Good luck! :-)

I noted in the FAQ that Rite Aid accepts man. coupons, and I have used them without problems in the past few weeks.
On Thursday, I was shopping for the P&G products deal, and bought a lot of shampoo with 1 man. Q per item. As I was checking out, the cash registrar indicated (as I kept handing her one by one the man. Q's) that if I kept going she would not be able to accept them..that it was supposed to be 1 Q per purchase. I mentioned what someone else suggested that each of the items was a purchase, but she said she could get in trouble by allowing more than one. :frown: The cashier indicated that she got in trouble when she allowed a lot of coupons for another woman who purchased about $60 worth of merchandise and only paid $2-3. Well, luckily my OOP was $13 so she allowed all of them. My question is this: Is it YMMV on a store by store basis to disallow coupons when the total OOP is small? Do you think this could be a result of the incident at CVS, or just a more general awareness that some customers are coupon savvy and the stores may start cracking down? TIA for your guidance. :shrug7:

It is simply a poor training/ misunderstanding of how to accept coupons. The YMMV part is wheter the cashier knows what they are doing or not. One coupon per item is allowed, and should be universally. It is no different than if you bought 15 shampoos on 15 seperate trips or all at once.

I want to help get some stuff for my parents through the RA SCR program. Ive never done it myself either. My question is... If I purchase items in NJ and submit my rebate with my name and address, I will get back my check no problem. If I purchase the same items in NJ BUT on a separate Purchase, can I submit a NEW SCR but put everything in my parents' name and give their address (they are in NY)?
Technically its an entirely separate transaction. Almost nothing to do with each other. If my mom came into my NJ store and rang up right behind me then went home to NY and submitted her rebate it would be the same thing. I am just doing all the leg work for them.
Would this work?

Yes it will work. I have a SCR account for my address and manage a SCR account for my FIL address in another state. I submit receipts for his account for items purchased at my local store. I have also bought items while visiting him and submitted them for my scr account.

It's not unusual at all. I think there was 10-11 days between when they told me mine was mailed and when I actually got it.
I would wait for a full two weeks from the date they give you online. If you still don't have it, then go to the contact us link and shoot off an email.
I don't think there is anything you can do. You request the check, they take their time approving it and then mailing it. Just the way it goes. HTH

The tape pictured in the ad were not the same size as the one in the SCR book (at least at my store). I looked around and found one that matched the size from the rebate book- it didn't have the cutting thing on it, it was just a roll of tape. It rang up at $1.75, which is the rebate price, so I am assuming it was the correct one. I will update this when my rebate shows up online and let you know the specifics if I was correct.

Let me preface this by saying I'm going to Florida TOMORROW on a plane from NJ with my family, 3 kids under 9 for 1 1/2 weeks. Nothing packed because I can't get myself off this web site!!!! So needless to say I was a bit short on time. Could I have used 2 coupons both $4 off on this deal? Maybe I can fit in a quickie before the airport!!! I think I need HELP!!!! :hysterical:
2 items, 2 coupons.......Yes, you could have.
And I know......this site gets me in trouble! :giggle2:

my first ra shopping trip was last night. this morning i entered my scr info. it asked for my store, reg, trans. and that's all. i didn't enter anything about my purchases. is this right? do they have a record of my sales and then they match with my receipt info. is this is all i have to do? i've read all the posts. sorry if this has already been explained.

Yes that is all you do.....it will pull the things from your receipt by your transaction number. Check back in a day or two and you should see the qualifying items listed.

I know justme answered this already, but I thought I would add to her response. Although I do not do it, I have read that some people actually have their check cashed at Rite Aid and some have it converted into a Rite Aid gift card at the store.

If you want a GC, why not just use your check like cash at the store, since I'm assuming you are going to turn around & spend the GC in there. I did it last night, no problem, and even got change back when my check was for more than my transaction total.

I am trying to use the online submission for the ocr for the first time. It asks for the date and time from my receipt. But my receipt was cut in such a way (by the register) that the date and time is cut off. I know the date but not the exact time. It won't accept it without the time. What do I do?

HI,
The other day I tried the following, thinking it was acceptable
Glade freshener
I AD 4 COUPONS
b1g1F
b1g1f
$1 Q
$1 Q
So I got 4 glade to use all four Qs. To my mind, it should work like this
Glade A
Glade B
Glade C
Glade D
"Buy" Glad A and get B free, the Coupon is thusly 'applied' to glade B... that is where the manufacturer discount goes.
Buy Glade C and get D free... thus, discount is applied to D
Then, dollar off Qs can be 'applied' to glade A and Glade C.
Clerk said no
Mngr said no
I called customer service and DM said no.
I dont get it!
DM said that was like using two manufacturer Qs on one item since the free item didnt count. I disagree. 4 items, 4 coupons!!!
Does anyone have experience with this?

Anyone else find that the shelf tags don't go with the sale prices? I'm in Ga. and both my Rite Aids here are terrible at making the shelf tags reflect the true price. Also, today I bought one of the toothbrushes that were listed in the sales paper as 3.19 with 3.19 rebate. The shelf price was right, but it rang up at 4.99. I didn't notice until I got home. I will be taking it back and getting it fixed. But it's a real pain to have to do that all the time. I just really, really have to watch them. CVS is usually very good at having the correct prices marked and ringing up. Is this something common to all RA's?

The toothbrush has been a common problem for people today. I grabbed the vitaliozer and it was ok, but the regular crossaction rang up 4.99. MOst of the stores around here dont get the tags up until late in the day or monday.

Also, I was going to get the Anti Monkey-butt powder:biggrin: but the shelf said 5.99 instead of 4.99. I thought maybe that it was a regional thing, but then I got the sale paper from that store and it is in there. So i will ask about it when I go back. The Advil PM was also a different price. Maybe you're right, they just don't have the tags up yet.

I believe it's because technically the B1G1's count for 2 items. So in essence you would have had to purchase 6 items to use the 4 coupons. B1G1 #1: Glade A & B
B1G1 #2: Glade C & D
$1.00 Coup: Glade E
$1.00 Coup: Glade F
I COULD be wrong, but that's the way I understand it.

I saw someone post this question earlier in the thread but didn't see a response...
How do you get multiple rebates for 1 item when it says "Limit 1 Rebate"?
When you sign up for a RiteAid rebate account is it based on the street address? Or can you have 5 different accounts for the same address?
Do you use a relative's / friend's info and have them mail you the checks?
I have 4 coups for the Advil PM and would love to get all of them, but not sure what to do about the "Limit 1 Rebate" hurdle. :beg3:
Thank you!

I am new to Rite-Aid and I was going to try the CG P&G deal but I have a few questions:
1. Do I have to have all $50 on one receipt in 1 purchase to get the gift card?
2. Is there a benefit to splitting it up or should I do it all in 1?
3. Is the final OOP after coupons and B1G1 supposed to be $50 to get the GC? If not, what does count towards the total?
4. Is the GC immediate or is it like a rebate? Will I have to enter it online? Do they mail the GC or do I get it in the store?
THANKS!

According to corporate - yes, that is their policy. Many, if not all, RA's no longer accept will exception of their own that you can print via their website.
Some stores still accept them though...no rhyme or reason and lucky for those shoppers! But, most do not :frown:

Yes, there is a monthly rebate book that you can pick up in the front of the store like Walgreens, except that it is 8.5 x 11 sized instead of pamphlet sized. They are in the same rack as the weekly ads.

I can't quote the source (just do a Google seach for "Rite Aid Coupon Policy")...but in a "memo" that was sent out on January 28, 2008 - regarding Policy # SOP, 06.04 - Coupon Acceptance and Accountability, there is a paragraph that reads:
Limits On Usage
Only one manufacturer's coupon is accepted for each product, unless coupled with a manufacturer's or valuable coupon found in a Rite Aid circular.
It does not mention RA IP's, but you can definitely use a RA coupon found in a RA Circular in conjunction WITH a regular Manufacturer's coupon - I would argue to say then, that a RA IP CAN be used with a regular Manufacturer's coupon as well.

If you have a RA coupon that says Buy 1 of Name Brand, get 1 RA Brand of same product FREE (like b1 Tylenol, get 1 RA acetaminephin free), and the store is doing a b1g1 sale on RA Brand of that product (like the RA acetaminephin), can you pick up a total of 1 Name Brand and 2 RA Brand and get both RA brands free w/ that coupon paying for one and the b1g1 sale paying for the second one?

Okay...just to clarify. I'm talking about the coupons in the RA weekly flier that say Manufacturer's Coupon on the top.
My RA has no problem taking an RA Q with a MQ. It's just the ones that are in the paper and say MQ across the top they don't want to combine with an MQ. Even though all of their paper Qs start with RA in their codes.

How long does it usually take RA to post their store data to the rebate website? I believe it is updated around midnight (or is it noon?), but is it that night or the next night that it is updated? I usually like to wait to enter my receipts until the store data has been uploaded so that the rebates will post autamatically, but I haven't done it in awhile and have forgotten how long it takes.

I would call or write CS and explain what happened. Then print out their reply and take it to the store to show the manager.
I don't get why some store employee's get so crazy about couponing!
I had a cashier at RA try to charge me for 5 bottles of Pert b/c I was using 4 coupons! She did NOT want to give me the shampoo for free!
I had 4 coupons and 4 bottles of pert but she said, "NO, your were only charged for 3!". I made her print out the reciept and prove it to me. I was right, she was wrong, but she was not happy about it at all!
So, you know what I did..............I called all my couponing girlfriends and told them to go back to that same RA immediately and use their pert coupons!
By the time the 3rd girl went through the checkout, the cashier did not say a word!:giggle2:

This issue was asked already, but I need clarification. RA rule is ONE account per ONE address. I asked a RA clerk if 2 individuals under 1 address can have separate accounts. He said WHY NOT.
I have a little sister who's living with me while in college & she started buying. She created her own account online & submitted the receipts & it seemed to quality, etc, showing the accrued rebates. However, when it's time to crank out the checks for mailing, will RA come crackin' down?

this might be tricky. They might say that you and your sister are one household, esp since you live in the same house.

quick question...sorry if its a repeat, but I am having a problem currently, the RA ad states BOGO free on huggies wipes, but when I went for a raincheck the clerk wrote it for one pack of wipes even though I explained it comes with two packs for 3.49...she would only give it to me for one...and only for 3 of them...
any thoughts, what can I do to get them to write it the correct way, and can they limit the number I can get then?
thanks Janel
plus, I have a .50/1 coupon, will they let me use 2 coupons...????

I think you can only use one coupon, since it is only one barcode to scan, even though there are two in the package.

In this case the cashier is correct. The wipes are Buy one get one free, because they are packaged that way as a unit. It says buy one get one free on the packaging, because they are giving you a 2nd package of wipes free bundled together for the price of a single package. The price is $3.49 for the 1 unit which contains 2 wipe packages. When you go to buy it (using the raincheck) you should still be able to get those same packages for that same price. One thing you could do as a precaution is to clip out the ad for the huggies wipes and staple or tape it to the raincheck so they can see that it is the value packs that the raincheck was written for. As for limits, my cashiers have always asked me how many I wanted, and I have never had a limit applied before. You could always ask the store manager if they do indeed have a limit for rainchecks. You can always go back and try another cashier and get another raincheck.
As for the coupon you can only use one since there is only one barcode that will be scanned. Think of it this way, if you brought a 6 pack of toothbrushes you would only use one coupon since it is one package, same thing with these "value packs" of wipes. It is only considered one unit so only one coupon may be applied. Of course you can use one coupon per package that you buy.
Hope that helps.

I want to buy an item, and get the rebate. However, I will be moving out of state this month, and will not have Rite-Aid where I'll be living. Can I sign up online for the rebate, but have it sent to the city I'll be living in with no Rite-Aid, since it was purchased here in CA? If I buy a rebate item tomorrow, do I have till the 26th to post it online, and request check to get it sent to the new address? It says it takes 3 weeks, which seems like a long time. But I also want to make sure of where I should send it, and make sure I get it! I am wishing we had a Rite-Aid where we are moving! lol

I don't think it matters that you are moving out of state to redeem the rebate. If you bought something on vacation and got home and requested the rebate it should still come. Just make sure you enter the info from your receipt correctly, this will tell them the store, cashier and date you purchased the items. Everything is done through their computer system. When I go in and buy something say on Friday, it won't show up until monday, even if I enter the receipt immediately. Also you should probably put your new address or a family members address though. Sometimes my rebates come in a week and other times it takes 3.

Okay, I have a question. I went to Rite Aid this morning and bought the last box of electrasol they had in stock. I went to some other stores in town but they all sell the 12ct. boxes or it wasn't cheap enough for me to buy and I'll wait for it to go on sale at the grocery store I reckon. ANYWAY, I went back to Rite Aid to ask for a rain check on the electrasol. The lady went through the ad and I pointed out the price to her but the SCR threw a wrench into things. They asked me how many and I said I'd like 10 if I could get them. She said we can't do that many for the rebate. I told her I had already bought the one for my rebate and was only interested in the $2.99 price. She asked another cashier and she said the manager said only two on things with a rebate. (The manager is on vacation this week, btw) Does this sound right or should I have been able to get a raincheck for more at the 2.99 price? Thanks for advice!

Someone mentioned that you should give your Q's to the cashier in a particular order . . . Like, store Q first, then ManQ, to make sure that you get your full discount. I can't find it - It was either here or in the Wags thread. Can someone help me out? THANKS :)

Any purchases made before July 27th go towards the July SCR program. Purchases made on July 27th and afterwards apply towards the August SCR. So enter all your July SCR qualifying receipts and go ahead and request your check for those rebates. With any July 27th and later receipts, you can enter them but don't request a check yet! You won't do that till end of August/first part of September. HTH! :o)

Okay- I'm a Rite-aid coupon novice (aka idiot) Can you have more than one account for single check rebates- the way you and your husband can both have CVS cards? Or will they only accept one SCR account per address? So if I bought things with a rebate, and it says 1 rebate per item... could my husband buy one as well as me and we would both get rebate checks? Know what i mean? (its okay if you don't... I'm confused too)

Another Newbie here. I requested my first SCR for July, and when checking it's status, it says Check #XXXXX was mailed to me on August 1, 2008. How long do they generally take to show up? I know it's over a weekend, and since I have no idea where it was actually mailed from, I'm just curious.
If it got lost or mangled, is Rite Aid good about reissuing a new check?
(And yes, I know I'm probably jumping the gun. Like I said, just another newbie trying to learn the ropes)

I am trying to figure out Rite Aid after reading the questions and answers. I understand the single check rebate thing but what confuses me is in the ad some items have the single check rebate downward arrow that is yellow, others have a red shaded box but say FREE less rebate.
Question is: The ones that just say FREE in red does that mean they are free and you don't have to do the single check rebate?:shrug7:
Thanks!

You have to do the rebate to get them free. It is a different way they write them up. They also sometimes list manufacturrer rebates that are in the pack. That is obviously seperate from the single check rebates. (those are mostly for diabetes monitors)

I've looked through this thread and attempted to find the answer to my question but couldn't find it. if I've looked it, I apologize.
My questions: I've entered in all my receipts, haven't requested my check yet, while I was reviewing my rebates I noticed I forgot 2, I checked them, and when I got to the enter receipt I didn't enter any info just hit submit (I think) and and it's been waiting for data transmission from store for three or four days now. Do I need to resubmit the receipts I've already entered? Or do I just need to "ride it out"?

Normally, it only takes about 2 days for the receipt to clear and the information to show up online. Sometimes, it's 3 days depending on what time you bought the item. Now - did you check that all the information was entered in correctly? I actually came to post the same question. I've been doing these rebates for a long time, but I took a huge break from SCRs for 9 months or so. So this is the first month that I have big SCR purchases. I went to a store I haven't been to before near work and bought a lot of stuff that I couldn't find anywhere near where I lived on Friday (8/8/08), around 7 pm. They still had the older cash registers (without the touch screen)… and I entered the receipt last night, about 2 days later and it's still "Waiting for Data from the Store". I have a lot of J&J qualifiers on the receipt sigh… I would have thought that it would have cleared by now. Did anyone purchase on 8/8 and have the receipt clear already? Should I be concerned?

I haven't done SCRs in about a year, but I had a gift card to use, so I did some purchases on August 3 (the big sale with lots of freebies). Their online system can't find my receipt information -- I wrote to customer service, and they want me to fax the receipt, and offer numbers and UPC numbers for qualifying products. Is there any way around this? Any trick to getting my receipt to be accepted online? (I've checked that I entered the required information correctly multiple times.)

Does the SCR promotions always end on the 27th day of each month? If not, where do you find out when the deadline is? That is the only part that has me confused at this point.

Do you know if this is corporate policy? Then you basically make money off the mfn q? I returned an item once on a receipt where I used like 10 coupons, but purchased 15 items. The manager said she had to look up the transaction and the coupons I used so she could minus off the coupon. She actually had me wait about 20 minutes while she went to some back room in the store then said I should come back the next day after she found the "hard copy" of the transaction. I told her I used a $1 coupon and to just take that off, as I didn't want to return the next day, and she finally agreed. She kept on telling me that she had to confirm the correct coupon i used. I always only see cashiers stick the coupons in a big pile in the register. How would you know which one went with which transaction? Maybe I just had bad luck that day.

No I don't know the corporate policy, but they will be submitting that coupon anyways so they are going to get back that money regardless, so unless you recieve the coupon you used back I don't see why they shouldn't refund you the full price. They are going to get their money back, so why shouldn't you? But I think this would be YMMV, depending on your manager, etc.

I have a Rite Aid question regarding the current SCR promotion. For promotion #153, for Fantastic/Shout, I purchased 2 Shout bottles, marked as 22oz + 8oz free. My entered receipt won't seem to accept it as being part of the rebate, and even Rite Aid online when I emailed them didn't see it there as well. So my question here is; this Shout says on it "Shout Triple-Acting", and I wonder if that is my problem, since the flyer for the rebate states "Shout Prewash Spray". Is there a difference between the "Shout Triple-acting" that I bought and the "Shout Prewash Spray"? I don't generally buy these types of products, as I make my own thanks to the Queen of Clean's books, but between using 2 -.75¢ MCs and the $2 SCR, that was a good enough deal for me. If I bought the wrong product, I will just take it back and see if they will exchange it and give me a new receipt with the new product on it. Thank you in advance for helping me out!
I'm so glad I found this site. It is a huge help to look on here and see the deals already lined up with MCs and everything, which saves me time.

WillUBMyKnight,
Thank you for your picture and assistance. I do notice that the photo of the Shout looks a little different than the triple-acting kind I have, so I am left wondering if the UPC is different enough that this product isn't the one in the offer. However, at my Rite Aid, the tags for the rebate were stuck below the shelf that this product was on, indicating that it was the proper product. The corporate folks say I can fax or mail in a copy of my receipt with purchase circled, the UPC # written down and all the other pertinent info, but I wonder if I need to wait to do my SCR, and if this will all take until it's too late (past the end of September).
To All: Has anyone else had this problem with past SCRs and if so, how did you manage to fix the problem, if you were able to do so?:shrug7:I'm sorry for so many questions, but I have been doing rebates for years now, and this is the first time I have run into such a problem, with the exception of purchasing the wrong kind of Colgate toothpaste for a manufacturer's rebate a few years back and getting a "thanks, but no thanks" reply from them back with all of my submitted stuff, but too late to do anything about it and re-apply for the rebate. :mistake2:

RA SCR's are pretty much like any other type of rebate - they are pretty specific on the brand and particular item that you need to buy (unless otherwise stated.) For SCR # 153 it specifically says "Shout Prewash Spray, 22 oz"
If your bottles look identical to the one I posted a picture of, the only exception being the 8 extra oz's...I would call them back on Friday (they usually want you to fax a copy of the receipt because they can't SEE the receipt in their system yet) and explain that you bought the correct item, it just so happens to be that YOUR store had "special promotional" bottles that included 8 oz for free. Provided that they can then SEE the receipt in their system, they should push it through.
If your bottles do not look identical to the one I posted a picture of, then chances are, you bought the wrong ones. The easiest thing to do at that point would be to return them and purchase the correct ones.
If you return them, please be sure to do a complete return and a complete repurchase (don't just "exchange" them).

WillUBMyKnight, I think you may have gotten the right answer. I am starting to think that I must have gotten the wrong "version" of the product, and that my Rite Aid must have done the same thing in putting their rebate signs beneath the ones I purchased. The sale is still on, so I'll take them back tonight, and do a re-purchase so the correct receipt is available. I really didn't want to have to deal with corportate if I didn't have to, and figured something wasn't quite right, but manufacturers often change the look of their packaging and I thought that was all that happened here. I must have been mistaken. Your help has been fabulous, and I thank you.
By the way, I have a son named Johnathan too. Mine is 16 now.

I'm new to the whole Rite Aid experience and I have a question. I was going to go there tonight (Saturday) to get a few things for SCR. If I can get the hang of this, I plan to go every Sunday starting tomorrow. My question is, If I go tonight and tomorrow, when do I request my check? I want to be sure I do it right. I read that you can only request 1 per month, but is that calendar month? Just want to be sure!!
Thanks!!

I'm still getting the hang of Rite Aid as well, but I think I can answer your question. The once per month rule is meant for the rebate period (which runs in roughly 1 month increments). So you can only request 1 August SCR, which ends today (the 30th). Tomorrow (the 31st) starts September's SCR. So, anything you purchase today would fall under August's rebate while anything you'd purchase tomorrow would fall under September's. You'll probably want to wait till towards the end of the rebate "month's" to request your check in case there are any deals that show up you'd want to take advantage of. I hope that helps and isn't too confusing!

Amy...
mrsdatabits is right. It is not a calendar month per se, but whatever dates they choose, so what I do is look at what day the rebate period for that month is and mark it on my calendar and then when it hits that date, I request my check. This is especially helpful if you have an online calendar or pda that will alert you when an important date/event is happening.

I have been reading everywhere that RA does NOT accept IP's but every RA I have been to, has taken mine. Do I stop trying to use them because of their policy or do I still use them until they say something?
So far I have had good luck.
I got 12 BIC Mark-Its yesterday for just the tax!

Can one purchase qualify for multiple rebates?

Yes, in some cases it can. For example, in this month's SCR, if you buy 3 1 liter Crest ProHealth mouth rinse it qualifies you for rebate #602 which is $10, and goes towards rebate #75, which is a Proctor a Gamble rebate that requires a set amount be spent on certain items before qualification. The Crest rinses go a long way towards qualifying for the P&G rebate. HTH.

Thanks to both of you for those answers! I thought that might be how it worked, but I wanted to be sure. I guess what was throwing me off was that you can enter receipts for September's until October 27. I think I get it now.
I have set up a reminder in my calender to be sure I request my check on time!
Thanks!!!
