My local Food Lion (Md) has a sale on select general mills cereals 2/$5, but if you buy 4 boxes you get $4 off. So you pay $1.50 each. I have 4 coupons for the individual cereals .55 off and 2 coupons $1.00 off 2. So the 4 boxes end up being $2.80. On the .55 coupons it says: one coupon per puchase of specified products. I think it goes to each box I buy. The $1.00 off coupon says: one coupon per purchase of specified products. My question is can they be used together because one type is singles and the other for 2 boxes?

:wavehi: You would need to buy 8 boxes to use all 6 coupons. The coupons off two are on two items so if you use both of those you need 4 items. The .55/1 coupons cannot be used on the same boxes.

I would suggest using the four .55 coupons on four boxes. It would look like this
4/10.00
- 4.00 sale
- .55 x 4
= 3.80/4

unless your store doubles coupons (I've never shopped there so I'm not sure if they do this), if they do it would only cos 1.60 for 4 boxes.

If you want, you could probably do the sale again.

4/10.00
- 4.00 sale
- 1.00/2 x 2
= 4.00/4 boxes

Depends on what your price is for cereal and how much you need it.

If I'm reading your post correctly and you are wanting to use all 6 coupons in one transaction you will have to buy 8 boxes of cereal total to use those coupons. You cannot use the .55/1 and the $1/2 coupons on the same two boxes of cereal. To use just ONE .55/1 and ONE $1/2 coupon you would have to buy at least three boxes of cereal. Since there is the offer of $4 off when you buy 4 the best scenario is probably to do two transactions of 4 boxes each. I would do Two .55/1 coupons and one $1/2 coupon per transaction of four boxes.

Thank you for the help. I'm new to the coupons, and it would have been sad at the store.
