I found this place because I was at CVS at the beginning of January and I was purchasing some snacks and some other things becuase we were going to have a day at the park with the family. While I was there I had to make two trips because I forgot some stuff. Well, the whole time I was there a lady was at the front register doing a lot of seperate transactions and using TONS of coupons... I was just eyeing her at first. You could tell the manager was getting frustrated though...
Well she was finally leaving at the same time I was and I walked up to her and asked her HOW she did that... her reaply was that she had about a $100 bucks worth of stuff that she only paid $17 for and left with $28 in store credit, but the catch was that you had to have a ECC (at the time I had no idea what ECBs were)... She told me a website... **********.com, but then when I checked them out I really didn't like them.

I did an internet search and HCW was the first one that popped up on my results, and I am so glad it happened.

Funny thing was, before then I had not been in a CVS in years. It jsut so happens that where I live now there is one around the corner.... but I really wish I could thank that lady too!

I heard about this website on tv. KY3 out of Springfield Missouri did a series on couponing on their nightly news. One of the people they interviewed was a member of HCW. She said that she only sends $150 to $200 a month on groceries & hba for a family of four. I was absolutely amazed since I spend $500-$600 a month for a family of 3.

My first trip into CVS I had a list from The GG website. I ran into a lady at the checkout who told me about HCW, and told me it was totally FREE! I came home and signed up immediately! This is my first post, though. I have been just kind of "sitting on the sidelines" up until now...

I'm brand spanking new to being a "couponer" and the world of "couponing". I heard about all of this from a news article about a local woman who, with 4 children, has a grocery budget of only $800/year, and doesn't even come close to spending her whole budget! That's crazy!

Any advice on how to start small? I'm a single 22 year old guy who eats a vegan diet from mostly raw foods- but canned beans/veggies/fruits are cool too. Any advice on where to start?

I came about this site from a local radio station. A lady was on the radio station one morning explaining how much money she saved on coupons from this site. I found out about the site from our local news station that did a story on a woman who was saving hundreds of dollars by couponing. They listed several of her favorite sites and this was one of them, so I am giving it a try. I have couponed for years, but the most I ever save is $10-15 off the grocery bill of about $100-$150, which is not much at all.:smile:

A person I met said she traded coupons. I was puzzled. I had been buying coupons online for a short while. I seriously had gotten some awesome deals, thought it was great to click on only the ones I wanted pay 5 or 6 dollars and have a bunch in the mail. Trading coupons never crossed my mine. Actually, in all honesty, it was an "Oh my goodness, look at these crazy people" type of thread about the stockpiling thread on here, lol.
We were all drawn to look through HOURS of stockpiling pics...some of us enthralled, others disgusted, but either way, that thread garnered a lot of attention!
I signed up, but then got distracted and out of couponing (shame on me), until recently when I got serious and spend most of my waking hours on here or clipping coupons/trading, lol.
