Ok so I got some 2/1 o spray 64 oz juice. ( some are 1.99) they say manf but have the shaws logo that says redeam at shaws. I was told by 2 managers and a casher that i can't use them at the commisary b.c they don't get the money back.
since when? is there anything i can do other than use the self scan but even then i will have to get one above 1.99 or it will beep. what's a girl to do?

i believe that is the DECA ruling on coupons w/ store logos.

maybe someone else with other reply from their store director will chime in.

Also those coupons were a mis print and it's only $1 off not $2. Sucks I know!

I had this argument with them to. I was planning to scan the coupon and send it to Deca to get their opinion on it. I have all these $1 off 2 Splenda products but they don't exclude the single packs making them free. I really want to use them all

is your store saying you cannot use them on the 50c packets ? should be no problem if they are not excluded in the wording

Hi guys,
Okay here is a link to a document that we have to read and sign as cashiers.

In it, it describes the coupon policy for DECA which begins on page 38.

The specific one we are discussing, grocery store coupons, begins on page 39 of the document (not the pdf page 39). The actual directive on 'store coupons' is section 7-4 d.

hope this helps

No the problem is they are shaws coupons. They say manufactorer coupon on the top but in a little circle at the bottom say redeem at Shaws. They don't say redeamable ONLY at shaws and are a true man coupon but the commisary wont that them.

Jackee I can't get that link to open :( So basically policy isn't to take any coupons with another store logo even if they are true man coupons?

I think i will try to get a hold of someone b.c it says store coupons can not be accepted. like foodlion i understand or a cvs coupon. I wouldn't use that at deca. HOwever these are coupons that just have the logo on it. mabe i should print a foodlion coupon out and show them the diffrence? not that it will matter.

I had this problem w/ the Ragu coupons found at food Lion several months back. They were mfr, but had a FL logo on them. I emailed DECA and got a reply that they "should" be able to take them but could not say for sure w/o seeing them. By the time I rec'd the reply, the couopons had expired, so I never emailed a scan of the coupon for a positive answer. I was able to use a $1/3 Campbells tomato soup coupon w/ a Shaws logo on it, but don't think the cashier noticed the logo. The coupon scanned w/ out a problem.

thanks for the link jackie!

appears that section 7-5c(2) on pg 41 addresses overage. i've printed and will carry it with me !! :)

(2) If a scanned coupon value is less than the face value of a coupon, the cashier will mark the scanned value on the coupon. The cashier will then void the original scanned coupon entry and manually enter the face value of the coupon

then to me it's not a store coupon. i have seen coupons that say "store coupon" vice manf coupon on them.
if you have/find one like that, keep it as a sample to show them the difference
