Now that the Posting Icons have been almost completed ( looking for a few strays ) I will be starting to work on the Smilies.

Smilies will be getting a major overhaul so it will take awhile as I have other obligations to the board + I do have a life outside the board. Once again I ask that you please do not use any smilies until further notice. There will be new ones added & old ones deleted. After the smilies are finished you may replace anything that has an :nameofsmilie: with a new smilie or you can delete altogether as the :nameofsmilie: show up. Mods & SM's as they come across them will be editing posts to delete them.

Oh...how about the guy who looked totally disgusted and freaked out all at once..I don't know how else to describe him but made a most awesome face. I also kinda like laughing Eeyore and the snickering dastardly dog...but I do understand we probably can't keep all of them.

My biggest request would be to please put the smaller, most used smilies with a full range of emotions on the front page. Yes, lots of them are cute and funny but they don't all get used enough to justify a space up front IMO.

My other request is continuing...to see if there is some way to center inside the "reply to thread' box so that the smilies and post icons can be accessed without having to scroll over. Currently they overlap the background blue box and are off set to the right.

I totally agree with that one. We need the Added to DB one, plus little ones like the whistle and gimme, gimme (for example). Those giant "picture" style ones are fine for some, but NOT for the quick picks.

Yes, still overlapping. Right now I see 2 columns of smilies and nearly all of the post icons. I am wondering if it is because the smilies and icons are taking up too much space and extending the box....???

well we used to have 20 smilies in that box and we cut them down to 15 and took out the bigger of them and it did shift my screen over as well as youpdwhats. So that must have to do with it. Mine were getting cut off as well but now I see them all. I may have to do some more tweeking in the number and how many in a row and I may not be able to fix it for everyone since everyone else has different size screens.

Heidi, the reason they are overlapping is because I moved everything out of the favorites to make room for the new ones you & I spoke about so it probably shifted everything again. What everyone is now seeing there will not be staying. Don't know why they roll forward.

Heidi may or may not be able to adjust so they do not roll, not sure. If it can't be fixed, since no one should be using the smilies right now anyway, it is only temporary until we have chosen the smaller ones for the favorites.

Just remember what you are seeing there now is not staying & only a work in progress. As Heidi told me last night they roll for some reason.

Heidi, I moved some to that catagory on a temp basis to stop the others from rolling up into that spot.

Everyone Please Note: They will not be staying there. I have them there to hold the spot so the side screen will be better for you. When I am totally finished Heidi & I are getting together on what to put there.

Great! I just took some of the ones that are being deleted & moved to that spot so the others didn't roll forward. We can't figure out why it does that. At least these will hold the screen in the right place until we can get the permanent ones picked.

I can't make them stop rolling, whatever order we have them in is what shows in that box. Knowing that bzy can see them all is good to know that means we need to make the top 15 or 20 small in that size range so that they dont move the box over.

OOOOO, shame on you! Lets see, punishment is; no shopping for a week & I want all your coupons, LOL.

It is just easier if they aren't used until I am finished so not to leave empty spaces where smilies would have been if that particular one is deleted ( like in your sig line where the flag was removed).

I am deleting a lot of the old ones, uploading new ones & then weeding them out & removing more, etc.

I will add the flag to my list of requests.

Just wanted to LYK that smilies are still not available for use at this time. Getting closer & it shouldn't be much longer now.

Just wanted to make a quick suggestion. Take a look at your sig. line if you see something that looks like the following ( wording will vary of course), it means that your smilie has gone on to smilie heaven & will not be coming back. I suggest you fix your sig line to remove the text.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the 15 smilies know as "HCW Favorites" listed to the right of your screen when you go to make a post can now be used.

However, Please DO NOT use any of the other smilies as of yet. My goal is to have them ready for your use no later than Sunday night ( hopfully sooner ).

Also, you may use the posting icons located at the bottom of your screen when you go to make a post.
