Thanks (and repped) so much for the match ups. Can I ask, for the:

McCormick grinders 2/$4 use $1/1 tearpad $1.00 each

Did you find the tear pad at Stop and Shop near the spices or somewhere else?

amylynne01

I found it at S&S with the spices. They had them a month ago, ran out, and have had 4 new tearpads up since last week.

There is a deal for $5 catalina good on Your next shoping trip when you buy $15 Birds Eye, Ora ida potatoes, Green Giant, etc.

If i buy (15) Birds Eye and use coupons, will i still get Catalina or my balance will be reduced with coupon usage?

What zip code has this cat deal? I can only see extra gas points if you buy those products.

I would say that if you buy $15 of Birds Eye and then use coupons, you probably won't get the cat. If you buy Birds Eye, use coupons, and still spend more than $15, then maybe. It's not an exact science. ;)

Got my ad and didn't really get a chance to look closely, but it looks like they have a Cat deal for buy $15 get $5 OYNO. Some of the items are Grenn Giant and Ore Ida Staeam N Mash potatoes. There are also 4 Dollar Doublers on the ad. I know I've seen $1 IPs for the Steam N mash, but not sure if they are current. I don't shop S&S much, but I think the Cat deals run on shelf prices.
Any other good deals with this Cat?

gwkatt2
03-05-2010, 11:39:40 AM
Yes, Ore Ida is a current coupon.

The reason i brought up a question on Catalina is i think that the way they total purchases may have changed.

Last week they had a deal for Gortons seafood. You had to buy $10 worth to get $4 off instantly. I bought (5)x$2.34. It took $4 off right away, but when i started scanning Gortons coupons, it added $4 back to my totals.

I saw it. I betcha the cat won't print if you use qs. I wish it wasn't so difficult, but you can go to cs for the cat or cash.

On another note, I'd MUCH rather have a cat deal than a gas point deal!

They still calculate catalinas the same - using shelf price.

You were unpleasantly surprised by the nasty nature of 'instant savings' when you buy $X of products. It is totally unpredictable at Stop & Shop when you use coupons - if you use a coupon for every item it usually doesn't work, it adds the instant savings back on - if you leave 1 coupon off, sometimes it works because the instant savings have a product to which it can attach - and then again sometimes it has started not working if you use coupons period.

I can't deal with the frustration - so I usually don't do those offers.

Thanks for the McCormick grinders tip. I got two free with the Dblers and then used the other on Progresso soup and Crush sodas.

If I go back this week with enough other purchases, I'll get the Ken's dressing for free w/ the $1/2 coupon in the paper plus the Dbls.

Oh also be on the lookout for $1/2 DND Cabot coupons at the pharmacy counter.
Look for the brochure that says Low Fat Tuesday recipes.
They are not specific to either Stop and Shop or their specialty cheeses so they will work nicely for when the dairy case blocks are on sale!

Here is a potential scenario I'm planning to do times 2.

4 Kellogg's cereal $6
5 Fruit 2 0 $5
Produce $3+
Milk $2.50
Mott's apple juice 2.79
Total: $19.29
- $0.96 (5% q from S&S home mailer)
- 2 $1/2 Kellogg's from 3/7 RP
- 2 dollar doublers
- 5 $.75/1 Fruit 2 0 (doubled to $1 each)
- 2.79 (FREE Mott's from S&S home mailer)
Total: 6.54 (and submit for produce MIR for $3)

I need cereal so this is good for me.
