Walgreens has purex buy 1 get 1 free on megasavers for the month of March. Use the bogofree coupon from 2/21/10 rp and get 2 bottles of purex detergent for free, just pay for the tax. WhooHoo!
the coupon expires 3/6/10.

I have a question if someone can help....the ad says 2/9 get 1RR ends up being 2/8 then use the b1g1 coupon and pay 4.50...is it programmed differently in the register? How will they both be free?
PMFan
02-28-2010, 04:37:15 AM
OP mentions they are bogo for month of march.
not sure which is correct - bogo or the 2/28 ad price.
i'm not sure how WAG registers ring up bogo
bogo sale using bogo coupon usually looks like this
+x.00
+x.00
-x.00 bogo sale
-x.00 bogo coupon
=0.00 +tax
if rings 2nd as 0.00, then as mentioned by PP, big YMMV if you can use the bogo manf.

My Wags doesn't let me use the BOGO q's on BOGO sales either.

I can get them free, my Wags is awesome, I just need more info. My paper says 2/$9. Does bogo start March 1?
Mikki 316
02-28-2010, 07:53:27 AM
The RR is for the 3 in 1 sheets. Those are 2/9 this week. I'll have to check the price on liquid. I checked last week and it was $2.99, but the signage indicated that the price ended 2/27. I'll try to check this out today when I hit WAG and report back.
Big YMMV on using a BOGO Q with a BOGO sale at WAG.

The megasaver is a month long sale, so you won't need a Walgreens coupon to get the store BOGO. The Qs from the 2/21 RP make it free if your store takes BOGO coupons on BOGO sale items.
Some stores don't and other stores seem to require that you buy more than two to get one free. I think that is what the poster above was referring to. I think that her store will have her buy four, get two free from the Wags sale and then let her use one BOGO coupon, so she will pay for one and get 4. HTH.

I can't use this detergent because of the perfumes, but my dad loves it - I was able to get him 4 bottles free today (Well, I paid tax, but whoop-de-doo! lol) I checked out at the BA counter and they were having a promo on this body wash (sorry I can't remember the name of it and it is at my dad's with the detergent) that was $2.99 but they has a $3/$10 coupon (behind the counter for their use only) that made it free! Definitely YMMV. At the store I go to, it varies by cashier, day of the week, moon cycle... today's cashier put in the price for the q as $2.99, as if it each item had rung up half-price. I paid $5.98 for 4 bottles. Not bad, but it cost me two coupons.

FINALLY.........found it in the trash on here.........I had posted it back in the walgreens forum on 7-19-08........
It is an old email from 2007 but I don't care, I still carry it in case I have any issues. As far as my understanding.......it should not matter what sale the store has.......the sale should be irregardless of the Manufacturer coupons being used. Coupons are a form of payment.......if I've purchased the requirements for the coupon and they would take cash......then they should take the coupons. HOWEVER.......I think the problem comes in because a LOT (ok almost all) managers / cashiers do not understand coupons..........afterall.....couponing like we do on here.....it does take awhile to understand these things. I remember when I first started couponing.......PHEW.....it was so overwhelming. And if managers don't understand coupons we can't really expect cashiers to understand all the ins and outs of coupons......hence where I think the YMMV comes into play.
Anyways.........here is the post I made 1-19-08

No, you will only get two liquids free with the BOGO Q. They are on MegaSaver. The 3 in 1 sheets are not BOGO ($5.99/2). They are on sale 2/9, and you get $1 RR wyb 2. So with the BOGO Q, you would pay $4.50/2 pkgs of 3 in 1 sheets and get a $1 RR.

So the coupon is only for the 3 in 1's? Not either? I thought I could "buy" the detergents and get the 3 in 1's free.
Like this:
1 detergent-5.99, use Q to get the 3 in 1 free instead of 4.50.
1 detergent-0.00, use the Q to get the 3 in 1 free instead of 4.50.
total: 5.99, get back the 1.00 RR for the 3 in 1's. This is flawed? I guess I don't get it. :shrug7:

I think what is confusing you is the coupon...it is good on either product.
But the sales are different at Walgreens.
The purex liquid is BOGO 2/5.99
The Purex 3-1 are 2/9.00
But I do not think you can mix and match them the way you want to get the 3-1 for free.
You could do
1 liquid 5.99..... use Q get 1 liquid free
3-1 4.50......use Q get 3-1 Free ( 1.00 RR)

I understand what you are saying but it is better this way
1 liquid 5.99
1 liquid Free Walgreens sale
Use 1 BOGO Q to get the first one Free
Then if you are wanting the Sheets also
1 Sheets 4.50
1 sheets 4.50
Use BOGO Q pay $4.50 OOP get $1 RR
You are still getting the same amount of product as your scenario but less OOP

But my stores don't do that. That's why I was hoping to get all four for the 5.99 of the one liquid and putting them on one transaction. If it won't work, it won't work... but I guess I don't get why it won't. :shrug7: Except that they think I can't use the BOGO coupon with the BOGO products at all.

I have a HE washer, but still use regular detergent in mine, I just use about half the normal amount. I have been doing it for about 2 yrs, and I haven't killed it yet (knock on wood):giggle2:

This is me too! Year 5 and we're fine. :) I just use actually slightly less than half of whatever the amount is of the detergent it calls for. A bottle of All will last me quite a while. I think if I get the 3 in 1 things, I'll cut them in half. :giggle2:

Thank you OP! I got 6 at three different stores. I could have gotten them all at one store (every store I went to had plenty of stock) but I just moved to a new city and I didn't know if Walgreens were coupon friendly here (they were NOT coupon friendly in my old town), so I planned to go to three different stores with my three coupons.
The cashier at the first was really nice and she was excited for me getting such a good deal (.30 tax for two bottles of detergent). :BigHand: At the second store the lady was friendly but told me she had to check with her manager-- and the manager okayed it! At the third store the lady told me I couldn't use my coupon because it was already on sale. :rolleyes24: Oh boy. When I asked her to explain she said, "Well we can't give both bottles to you for free." We went around a few times with me pointing out that the store gets reimbursed form the coupon and she just kept repeating, "I can't sell it to you for nothing." I had to ask her to check with a manager. Manager came, looked at the coupon and said that's no problem and rang me up himself. So even though it was a hassle I'm so excited I found one coupon friendly Walgreens and the managers at the other stores at least backed me up.

If I'm getting four products, why can't I use two of the coupons?
(I don't need a coupon to get the second liquid free, so that makes it so I can use another BOGO coupon, no?)
Using BOGO coupons on BOGO sales varies store to store. I think that many stores might say that you can get the same product for free with the manufacturer coupon. So, it would be buy one liquid, get a liquid free and buy one sheet, get a sheet free.
I have some sheets from the CVS sale awhile back and cut them in half and it works great.

If that is the case, it would be even better because the detergent is 5.99 and the sheets are 4.50. The coupon says the free item is supposed to be of equal or lesser value, though, so I thought they'd take off the two 4.50 items as opposed to a 5.99 and a 4.50 item. :shrug7: Either way, I'm gonna try it out today and see... my stores are notoriously jerky, though.

I guess I'm just confused about what you're asking, because each answer given above makes perfect sense to me.
The liquid will ring up $5.99 and 0. The sheets will ring up $4.50 and $4.50. So, if you use two BOGO Qs, depending on how the cashier chooses to enter the BOGO amount for your Qs, either $4.50 or $5.99 will be deducted if they accept the BOGO Q for the liquid (YMMV since it's already on sale BOGO).
Either way, you come out with two liquid detergents and two pkgs of sheets for somewhere around $4.50 to $5.99, plus a $1 RR for buying two pkgs of 3 in 1 sheets.

I think she's asking can she do this with two liquids and two sheets:
buy liquid @ $5.99, get sheets free @ $4.50 (using BOGO q)
buy liquid @ $5.99, get sheets free@ $4.50 (using BOGO q)
In other words, buying the liquid, getting the sheets free. I'm still not sure why as the pp mentioned the higher OOP, and I could be wrong.

:shrug7:ok. Thanks for trying to clarify that for me.
Either way, the cashier will either enter the BOGO price for the Q as $5.99 or $4.50. The second liquid rings up 0, so that only leaves the price of one liquid or one of the sheets.

Well, that's what I thought-and my original question had it that way, and someone said no. That it would be 5.99 plus 4.50. That's when I asked about using the two coupons if I have four items. I just don't want to do anything wrong, so I was trying to get verification. It got ix-nayed, and I was trying to figure out WHY. There are now two posters that confirm what I thought, so I'm going to try it. :shrug7:

Aarghh... went to one of my fave locations earlier & when the MOD saw me, he told me that BOGO on BOGO was a no-go for that location. The big man (Store Manager) called corporate / Loss Prevention to inquire about it, as they knew that a few couponers (there's 3 of us there) would be buying tons from them if we could (one guy had already ordered 80 & cust #2 was probably going to order 200+, I just wanted a couple :giggle2:... LP said no... we could use the store BOGO with no Q, or use the Q with no store BOGO - hello, that make the Q essentially useless... off to another store I (and the other 2 couponers) go :wink7:

Friendly reminder: Using BOGO Qs during a BOGO sale at WAG is very much YMMV. Some stores allow it, some don't. The store manager decides for his/her store.
Please don't bash the store personnel, that's totally unnecessary. TIA.

I actually have read elsewhere that now loss prevention has become involved in some areas and memos are going around from corporate to certain regions regarding this. I'm not sure why since this is a perfectly ok use of a coupon (if the store allows it). I know people can post anything they want on the internet, but I thought I'd just throw it out there in case anyone has any trouble today. I'm planning to go to another store this evening and I'll report back when I'm done.

No dice for me. I asked the store manager then can I buy 4 using the in-store sale and the bogo, and end up with a $5.99 total. He just looked blankly at me and said no, I'd have to buy 8 and pay for 2. How does that even work??! I explained it 5 times. He looked like he was on his way out the door to go home and like he could have cared less. Luckily I don't need (or even like it) but I was trying to help out a friend who could have used them.

Someone else will have the same products on sale, hopefully before the coupons expire. I'm always glad to take my business elsewhere, when someone tries to give me grief over my Q use. I "spend" plenty at these stores: cash, RR, coupons, prescriptions/insurance, etc. Don't let it steal your joy.
Sorry some of you are having problems with this deal. Win some, lose some, but there will always be another deal just around the corner.

I was able to get these at my store but they only had four. I really need the free and clear so I went to the store I don't like and has a manager who actuall has called the police before because he thought someone was trying to use fraudulent coupons.
Of course I couldn't use them. Ugh.
I did call corporate though because he was a real jerk (actually he always is, coupons or no coupons) and basically said I was lying when I said they told me I could do it before, and when I said there are other stores that I was able to get them and he said "Well they're not supposed to". My favorite line.
The SM called me back but I didn't answer it b/c I wasn't expecting him to call until tomorrow and I'm pretty fired up right now. :) I'm going to calm down first.
My big beef is that they have the sale. It is buy one, get one. If I pay cash and get two? I get one free by paying cash for one. If I pay credit and get two? I get one free by paying credit for one. But if I choose to pay with a coupon, which is exactly the same as cash...I can't have a free one. Huh? That is discriminatory.

I know the Q expires Saturday. I just mean that good deals like this come along regularly. In the past year, I've gotten Purex and other laundry detergent free (or really close) on a fairly regular basis. No need to become too upset over one missed deal. That's my intent with the previous post.
IIRC, Spring has some frequent / good laundry "stuff" deals. Grocery stores (Kroger, for sure) will have another Mega Deal in a couple of months, which included Purex detergent and fabric softener last year + a catalina promo + decent coupons.

I TOTALLY AGREE with you! I explain this all the time. I tell them the method of payment makes no difference, when I'm trying to use coupons. It is irrelevant if I pay in credit, cash, check, rr, or coupons. All these are accepted as forms of payment. So, it should be treated the same, but it isn't when you are "paying" with coupons. Sames goes for refunds/returns. It's all bologna when they say, 'but, you used coupons".

This is one of the great things that a written coupon policy....equality to all customers. It happened at RA a few months ago and it specifically called out the BOGO store promo + BOGO MQ = two free items. So what was a huge ymmv before (and a great source of frustration for couponer customers) was nicely dealt with in a written policy. Removes the random decision making on parts of cashiers/managers....removes the inconsistency from store to store and makes clear the company policy. In this case, the RiteAid policy also states another ymmv in that it clarifies you can use a BOGO coupon with another coupon when buying two items. It would be so easy for Wags to put in writing the policy and instantly addresses a big pain point for us Walgreens customers.

My friend and I each used two coupons tonight to get 4 free each. No issues. We even asked first and the store obviously "got it" because they said no problem. I totally agree with Brandy. If I walked in off the street and paid $5.99 cash, check or credit this wouldn't even be a discussion with the stores.

Julia, I think that's just the sort of thing that managers like to throw around. I hear those sorts of vague threats/accusations from Walgreens cashiers all the time. By the way, let me also throw out here that the coupons that are coming out in the inserts are no secret to retailers. They know about them months in advance. Walgreens could've chosen to do this promo in April or January to avoid people using the coupon and they chose not to.

In speaking with a fellow couponer - he was telling me that my problem is that I'm trying to get my Purex in the big city (SF) vs going out into the smaller cities where it's more relaxed. To the PP - you're in a big city :giggle2:
Back to store #1 for me yesterday - the one where the SM called corporate/LP... regardless of BOGO w/ BOGO, I still wanted some Purex & used a RC (2.99) for it w/ my BOGO Q - the AM (#3 in charge) ringing me up was telling the E.X.A. (#2 in charge) that I was using a RC (huh? something as small as me using a RC :whistle67:- he had to advise?) ... I left with the feeling that that location has advised the staff about this & if there was ANY ? - immediately contact upper mgmt.
I'm currently one for three ... 2 stores wouldn't let me  and another AM told me that he'd let me get a couple (not lots, just couple) if/when stock came in...

That's a shame. At my store, my fav cashier is asking if I have any extra BOGO MQs...which of course I do so I spread the wealth. They always give two free with BOGO Q & BOGO sale.
As Mom2Natalya said, they get the money from the MQ either way...so by not allowing the BOGO MQ, they turn customers away as well as forfeit a sale of at least $11.98 ($5.99 x 2). And they alienate those customers. To me it's a lose/lose for them and a win/win for stores like mine who allow it. But I respect the store's decision/policy so I never argue with stores on this sort of thing because they have the right to determine their own store's policy.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these threads. I read all the posts last night and learned to avoid the bonus sized bottles (not ringing up BOGO) and that the 32 load were ringing up $5.99 and $0.00 instead of some funky way which often happens at WAGs.
I had never tried to use a BOGO Q on a BOGO sale at my WAGs (it's a relatively new store), but their policy seems to be, "if it doesn't beep, it's all good" so I figured I was good to go.
I was able to mix and match flavors to get (6) for $1.66 (sales tax - high in CA) and use up my (3) Qs.

The biggest problem is these stores do not know how coupons work. Somehow they think they are losing money over it. And they aren't.
I posted previously about my experience at the "other" store in my area. I did call corporate mostly to complain about the attitude of the manager and the way he handled my "issue", not so much that they wouldn't take them.
Of course the complaint was directed back to the store.
My call was last night... and I just had to come back to tell you guys what happened!! :giggle2:
So I checked my message that was left last night by Walgreens and it was actually the same manager that told me I couldn't use my bogo with the bogo sale. I guess the SM was out (he is the one my message was sent to). So the asst mgr's message was something like this: "Hi, this is XX calling from Walgreens regarding the customer complaint. I have sent an email to the District Supervisor about the coupon issue, but as far as I know, you can't use a bogo coupon with a bogo sale...blah blah blah"
So then, immediately after that msg was a message from this morning. It was the same mgr calling me. Here's that message: "Hi this is xx calling from Walgreens again. I received an email back from the District Supervisor and he told me to go ahead and take your coupons, so you can come in and get your Purex. Thanks!"
HA!!!! I love how he didn't apologize for the confusion or for his attitude, or anything like that. I also think it's hysterical that he didn't say, I was wrong, you were right, it's totally fine to use a bogo coupon with a bogo sale, etc. Just, I can go ahead and take your coupons. He was totally expecting the DS to tell him he was right and he had to eat his words.
I love it.
I'll be going in tonight to go get my Purex.
I hope that mgr is there! :hysterical:
I know these decisions are set by the store and not corporate, but all the mgr had to do was tell me that they had decided not to take them, instead he was teeling me "the other store shouldn't take them" "LP told us not to take them" and on and on about how they don't get reimbursed etc.
(Plus I KNOW that store doesn't like couponers b/c my DH delivers Pepsi to that store and the SM - not knowing my DH's wife is a couponer- told my DH he doesn't like coupons or the rr program)
Vindication feels pretty good.
So, I would say if you're going to complain to corporate, perhaps ask if you can leave a message for the District Supervisor to call you back? :whistle67:

I'm not sure that calling corp will do any good. My experience has been that each store manager has a lot of discretion regarding coupon policy in their store.
A new WAGs was built in my town and opened in '09. They are EXTREMELY coupon friendly compared to other WAGs I have shopped at (out of town), but I think it has A LOT to do with the fact that CVS opened right across the street at about the same time and they are in direct competition with each other. Ain't competition great?

Complaining to Corporate is not going to make a difference in how any WAG store treats couponers. Each store manager is allowed to determine which coupons s/he will or will not accept at that store. People who are constantly calling Corporate are basically burning their bridges at that particular store because Corporate only refers your complaint back to the store manager at your store. I've posted this same information for the past three years and each time someone has a problem, they start posting about "calling Corporate."
WAG has NO Corporate coupon policy. None. Zilch. Nada. They allow the local store manager to decide what that store's coupon acceptance policy is on any given day.
If you really want an issue resolved, call the District Manager. The DM will light a fire under someone's tail and get some issues resolved, especially if that person is negatively affecting sales figures by turning away paying customers.
Ok. I'm off my soapbox now.
On with the DEAL discussion.

I went to 2 different Wags today which are less than 10 minutes away from each other..
One i had no trouble using the coupons..
The second I had not trouble except they would only take 2 of the coupons cause they said the Purex is a limit of 4...
I should have been at least able to use 3 as some were sheets and some were liquid.
I have a call into the DM but do not expect to hear from him..

Daly City rejected the BOGO with the BOGO
I have a feeling I know which you're location you're talking about :hysterical: Westlake? If so, I avoid that store as they place limits on the amt of RRs you can use on a single transaction and/or question a lot of my transactions (which are legit). At this point, yeah, they're a bigger location, but it's not worth the trip/head-ache for me. I'll take my little neighborhood locs that will price-match DC. And if you're going to try the City, Noriega is a no-go (normally very Q friendly).
I'm a happy couponer (for today :giggle2:)... found locs that were BOGO friendly & got myself some bottles of Purex! MOD was happy that I got a good deal - he set aside some bottles for himself as well ...

I usually go to Top of the Hill DC, they are usually okie with my mass Qs but beware....there are days when the full moon is out and it's NO on everything. This deal was timely for me! I only got 2 Purex during the sale w/ cat @ Kroger before the shut down the cat. I got 4 bottles Free @ the Maineville WAGS. I got to of the Naturals & 2 of the With Bleach. The w/ bleach didn't ring up BOGO so the manager had to come & fix it. I am hoping to get some more (q's should be here tomorrow)- I'd LOVE it if they had the Clear in this store. I'l have to try some other WAGS close by.

Another dumb question. Wondering if this is something only in the store. I just looked through the weekly flyer and it's not there. Searched the website and its only the 2/$9 3-in-1. (Assuming it shouldn't be different per region) I understand if they are mega-savers its the whole month and the coupon is only until 3/6. Need pointing in the right direction.

Actually, 5.99 is not a right answer but not a wrong answer.
It depends on 2 things:
Your state
and
How they handle coupons.
I have shopped in 5 different states at they all handle discounts/coupons different. I was charged tax Pre sale and Pre coupon before.
So i'd say, check first? I know in ohio we are charged Post sale/Pre coupon

try a different store. I live near tons of walgreens and one does it that way and the other one doesn't. so i go the one that does 5.99 then 0 and they accept my B1G1 coupons. I'm almost up to 40 bottle between CVS sale and Walgreens sale.

The only advertisement is the Mega Saver shelf tags. It's not in the ad. Are you in a small ad area by chance?
Also, the bonus size bottles don't count in the BOGO sale, so make sure you're not having those price checked.

Thanks John! To be safe I sent in an email and the store manager for the one closest to my home called me back. The AM had to pass it on to her because he didn't seem to get it. I went to WAGS today and the cashier was ready to input my coupons until another nosey one came and stopped her. I called corporate and they said it was up to each manager so I had them call him over. He didn't have a problem until the cashier said to him, "But she'll be getting them all for free." All the while I was on the phone with corporate so the lady on the phone said she would have someone call me back.
Went to another WAGS and asked the manager first if I could use my coupons and he said sure. I got 18 bottles and gave my favorite cashier one.

As I was heading home earlier, I was taking a different bus route than I normally do, & saw that a Walgreens was along the route (not one that I normally frequent ) - I got off, attempted to buy 4 bottles of Purex, however, was told I couldn't do it ... this after I'd asked MOD (Manager on Duty) if I could, he said yes... then when I explained to him that I'm used to paying .57/2, he was like "no, you have to buy 4 bottles for 5.99" I totally didn't understand that thinking process... even showed him an email from customer service explaining BOGO on BOGO.
Oh well, at this point, I'm happy with my bottles and anything at this point is extra... I think I've only struck out at 2 locations out of 8 or 9, not a bad % :giggle2:.

The thinking of that manager is one that is the most typical in my shopping area:
you BUY two (and get one free with the coupon). With those two, the store gives you two for free. So the coupon makes it four for the price of one: you BUY one, get one free (thanks manufacturer) and the store throws in their two freebies because of the BOGO sale. That's the way my Publix, WAGs, etc. have always done it in those situations...

I called the Walgreen's that is right up the road from me and they said that I couldn't use a BOGO Free coupon along with a BOGO Free promotion at the store. They also said their Purex wasn't BOGO Free. Does the computer automatically make the Purex BOGO Free? I really hope someone from the Middle Georgia area can tell me that they got their Purex for free.

The cashier told him that it didn't make sense to her that she didn't understand why only 3 bottles and not 4(I didn't get it also) he tells her "I know what you're trying to do what you mean, she(me) wants to do the WAGS sale of B1G1 and wants to use her q B1G1 and walk out of here with 4 bottles of purex for free and she can't so that and she will not do that" he also said something about getting an email about how to use the q's and that the way he was explaining it was right. Even if he wants you to pay for the first one, you should still get four bottles as the 4th one is the free one that goes with the third one, so pay for 1st, get second free (wags deal), use B1G1F coupon for 3rd (free), get 4th free (wags deal). you pay for one, get three free is still a good deal.

He was wrong. You would have 2 ring up at $5.99 and 2 would ring up at 0. The BOGO Q would make one of the $5.99 ones free, so you'd pay for 1. He couldn't really stop it. The register automatically rings every other Purex up at 0 (if that's how your area's register is programmed and not some weird thing like $4.99, $1.00, $2.99, $3.00 for the Mega Saver price).

I had the same cashier (BA) who checked us out on Sunday afternoon, tell me that I couldn't use the BOGO Q on the BOGO sale yesterday. She then appeared to start to write $2.99 on my Q. I told her not to dare write on my Q, I'll use it elsewhere, and to remove the Purex from my order. Are you kiddin' me? Pay for Purex when I can go down the street and get it for free. Ummmmmm, no. I'd rather let my last Q expire than to PAY for something that's suppose to be free after Q. (I stocked up at Kroger anyway, so only tried using 2 BOGOs at WAG this week.)

I just wanted to add that if the store manager of my difficult store had responded with a "no" then I was going to say "So I guess I can't pay credit or check for the bogo Purex deal either? It has to be cash? Because a coupon is exactly the same as a credit card or check, I am promising that you will receive money later in exchange for the form of payment I am giving you, only the coupon states the money comes from the manufacturer and not from me."

i just called a bunch of walgreens in my area, i hardly shop there because none are coupon friendly and of course, i cannot use this coupon. i called corporate and the woman over the phone said there is no set q policy, that each store can decide their own and to call the stores to ask. oh well.

Before I could stop her, the cashier today wrote 3.00 on my q and rang up $2.99 and $3.00. Why, they are only cheating their customer. The q said $7.00 or less for the amount. Since the coupon was already written on, I let it go. Oh and she made a BIG deal of going to the calendar and making sure what day it was since the coupon expires today 3/6:hectic1:. I probably should of had her void the sale but my q was ruined! I am unhappy! (But got the deal done right earlier in the week at the SAME Wags so makes no sense to me.) Comments?

WooHoo got 6 free bottles. They did ring up at $3.00 & $2.99 though, so I had to get a manager involved and show her the sign that said BOGO and then recite the corporate policy to her. The register let her type in $5.99 without beeping. If only the darned cashier had tried that in the first place, then I wouldn't have even had to talk to the mgr. Sheesh!

Wow! These managers are absolutely coupon dumb.
I only had a problem at one out of the three stores I went to last night. I just said "whatever" and moved on to a different store. I wont waste my time or breath on trying to explain something theyre ignorant to.

Over the week I have gotten 32 bottles of Purex for free. I have also gotten 70+ boxes of Kleenex and used the Nivea lip sale (99 cents in ad q) with my BOGO mqs to cut down the amount I had to pay for the Kleenex. This has probably been the most successful week I have ever had at Walgreens. I am thrilled.

Woo hoo got 12 bottles today! My WAGS had been out of stock all week but expected some in today. I assumed the truck would've come in early but when I showed up just after 3 they had just unloaded it & the Purex was in the back. They had a lot left too.

Scored 12 bottles today as they restocked and had tons of them. I still had about 15 Qs left so I gave them to the cashier who I know coupons. Normally I'd get more than 12 but I have about 20 or so from the Kroger sale a few weeks ago. She was ecstatic to score a bunch of bottles herself....I know she struggles financially. This was truly an awesome sale.

I discovered an awesome location yesterday! When I went in, they'd only had 2 colors on the shelf - green & white... I got a few green... as I was talking to the clerk when I was checking out, I was bemoaning the fact that they didn't have more on the shelf and/or have any blues... the clerk did a stock check for me - omg! they had 15+ cases in the back & they had the blues - we did an exchange immediately... As well, the clerk said that if I wanted tons/qty, I should talk to "the man", "the man" being the store manager... manager was sooo nice & said if I wanted to buy a few cases, he was fine with it - or if I wanted to buy them all - go ahead... as well, if I wanted to pay for them last night (Fri) & pick them up today, he was cool with that... Mgr was teasing me - he wanted all my special orders from now on... that's a store that understand that 'a sale is a sale' who cares about whose reimbursing him...

As I was walking out of the store last night, he reminded me to call in the 1-800 # at the bottom of the receipt & give positive feedback - yeap, did that 5 or 6 time last night... as well, I'd told the manager that I had a fellow friend (couponer) that was going to come down & buy some Purex - he did, only got a few cases for himself :hysterical: too funny - after me & my friend, they still have 10+ cases... so, if anyone one of u wants to know the SF location, give me a PM :giggle2:
He was also cool with the idea of me 'gifting' a few Q's to his staff (I know of other mgrs that don't like that...)

Don't tell me I missed a Kleenex deal! What was the deal please and is it a monthly, or did it end today?

It took me a gazillion locations, but I got 16 bottles today! Finished all my coupons. Only had 1 store that questioned it, but I swore to him it was okay and told him I could get the email from corporate that was in my car (as well as an email from 2 other Walgreens store managers in our area) and he put them through and said awesome....
