The fine print on the GM promo says "Minimum purchase requirement is calculated AFTER manufacturer and store coupons".

I have never seen this from Albertsons, but then I have been living on my stockpile for the last 8 months. Is this new? Have they changed the way all the catilina promos work?

Normally, Minimum purchase requirement is calculated "Before" manufacturer Coupon.

The fine print on the GM promo says "Minimum purchase requirement is calculated AFTER manufacturer and store coupons".

Does anyone know if they count catalinas as manufacturer or store coupons? Or do they count them as a form a payment?

I was excited about this deal because I need FiberOne bars and fruit snacks and have Qs for them, but I don't have the money to pay $20 OOP for every transaction (I wanted to do 8 of them) and then have a bunch of money tied up in cats. If I can't roll my cats into my next transaction, I may be sitting this deal out, too. :(

There are potentially OYNO Cats on the Fruit Snacks, Fiber One Chewy bars and Smart Ones (details posted in Fred Meyer Cat forum), anyone know if these are working at Albertsons?

It also says only one transaction per person--managed by Preferred Card I guess?

If the GM promo is still calculated before coupons...
8 Nature Valley nut clusters = $20
use 8 $1.60/1 coupons = $7.20 oop and get a $7 cat back

Is there a new $1.60/1 printable? I couldn't find it in the database.

again they have items in the promo that aren't applying to the cat, and thus not printing it out. happened twice this morning. So caution if you're using coupons, because they'll blame it on the fact you used coupons instead of it not being in the database.

Remember....regardless if the Catalina prints before manufactures coupons the deal in the ad reads that you need to get to $20 AFTER coupons. Please do not post about it working before coupons as we consider that skirting around the written terms of the offer.

I don't personally need any of this GM stuff but I am in on some of their freezer deals catalina (I don't think it was in the sale ad) but there is a $10.00 OYNO catalina WYB 10 select freezer items (I saw shelf tags indicating which were participating products) I grabbed 10 packages of Hot Pockets and 10 bags of Ore Ida fries. I guinea pigged it to see if I would get $20 in OYNO catalinas but it did not work, so it looks like you have to check out in groups of 10 at a time. Unfortunatly I did not have any coupons with me but I was really in the mood for the hot pockets and we eat the Ore-Ida fries all the time and the price after catalina was $1.99 a bag which was a good enough price for me.

I'm loving the juice and ice cream deals -

10 old orchard juices $12.90 - $10 cats = $2.90 = .29 each
10 dreyer's ice cream $29.90 - $10 ($1/1 qs) - $3 doublers - $10 cats = $6.90 = .69 each

my store was having catalina problems this morning - didn't print for me, and I saw somene else had the same problem on different products - ended up with a $10 GC instead.

I think this is cheaper getting 3 Dreyers + 7 juices in a transaction, that way you can double 3 Dreyers coupons each time:
3 x $2.99 = $8.97 Dreyers
7 x $1.29 = $9.03 OO Juice
Total $18 - $3 ($1/1 x 3) + $3 doublers - $10 OYNO = $2 for 10 items or 20c each.

Crazy sale!!! I can't even list everything I got but I paid $80 and saved over $1200 on frozen food items and some General Mills stuff. Now if this weeks ads are just as great I'm wondering where to put it all :-) Do you think I can talk hubby into another full size freezer ???

queenofthehivemomof5
03-01-2010, 01:41:30 PM
I am going to have to watch this freezer sale...my freezers (2) are full already..must make room....

Be on the lookout for clearance laundry detergent. They had Purex (natural and the 3-in-1 sheets) for $2.00 (use BOGO coupon from recent insert), big boxes of Arm & Hammer powder for $4, the Homelife (store brand) for $$2.50)...good deals even without coupons for detergent. Our family does 20+ loads a week so I am always looking for deals....

I realized this as I was driving home :banghead: But I also only have 3 doublers left and am unsure if I want to use them all on icecream.

The clearance Smart Ones ($1.50 & $1.25) are on the list SB posted at SD and work nicely with the $3/10 insert or $1/5's from AY which can be doubled :). They are not tagged for the promo so check the list first.

Can you tell me if either of the 2 current catalina promos will roll? the $7 General Mills one or the $10 Chill one? I imagine I could do 2 separate transactions, and roll the opposite catalina into it. Thanks for helping me think out loud!!

nateNnatsmommy
03-02-2010, 01:40:41 PM
I know that the Chill one rolls - not sure about the GM one, but it doesn't seem like there would be much point because the $20 needs to be reached after coupons.

I just saw this on coupons.com when I was looking for something else: There's an IP for $1/4 Old Orchard frozen juice. If you print two of them & use doublers with 10 cans of juice, that's a heckuva deal:

1.29 x 10 = $12.90
- 2Q's 2.00
-2 dblers 2.00
= 8.90 OOP
get $10 cat
final price is $1.10 MM!!

BTW the Kroger/Fred Meyer Smart Ones Cat doesn't seem to be working anywhere else.
