Well I went to Kroger this morning to see about the purex cat and stuff. The store was not busy so I was doing a few transactions. I did the buy 8 G2 and 2 purex twice. I obviously did not get the CAT, but when I handed the cashier my second bunch of coupons for the G2, she said she could not accept them as they were limiting them. :shrug7:She would still let me buy the gatorade (it wasn't a limit on it- they had SO MUCH!) it was a limit on the coupons for it. I guess I could see if I was buying like 50 of them but I wasn't. I guess I just don't understand why. I also usually use the Johnsons baby coupons to get buddy bars at Kroger. I had grabbed three of the ($.99) and I saw they had clearanced the Beechnut Let's Grow! cup things to $.95, so I grabbed three of those as well. I had $1 off coupons for the soap and Beechnut things but she told me I couldn't use them because it was under $1 and she would not mark the coupons down for me, either. Is this the way it has always been and the cashiers have just never said anything? The only item I have ever bought there with a coupon that was more than the item was the buddy bars and have never had a problem in the past. Anyone know if that is their policy or if it was just my cashiers policy? TIA!
ETA: I just saw the post about the overage in the FAQs. So they can't just ring it in as $.99 and make a note on it like say CVS?

Kroger Cincinnati region does not allow coupon overage period, so this should not be discussed. However they should adjust the item down.

it's also up to the manager to limit items, but if they were allowing you to purchase x items they should allow you to use the same amount of coupons
