Lowes Foods What did you buy this week? 1/20-1/26

I went to Lowes Foods today because I had to take my husband to get a root canal. I had no idea that they took 3+hours and went to 2 different LF waiting for him (along with a few other stores too).

I got- (both transactoins combined)
2 Hormel naturals lunch meats $.49 each after $.75/1 IP
1 Jimmy Dean naturals sausage $1.50
12 Quaker quakes free after Q
4 Keebler 100 calorie packs (The second store had ZERO) free after Q and 3week Q
1 Heinz Ketchup (would rather get HT's for cheaper but they have NONE)$.29 afterQ
4 Gatorade free after Q
2 Honey Nut cheerios $1 after IP and 3weekQ
1 Cheerios $.90 after IP and 3weekQ
1 New England Coffee $2.19 after $1 ip
6 Dole Fruit cups 4pks $1.25 after $.75/2
2 Quaker Oats $.50 after Ip
2 3 oz philly cream cheese

I paid about $20 total

$2 each, I don't know if that is a great price, I think that is a TYPICAL sale price. I needed some peaches though-I usually buy Delmonte Fruit naturals for $1 each but the coupons I have for it are $1/3 so the dole is a better deal right now.

A helpful tip: For both HT and Lowes, you can go to their websites and click on the online shopping link. For Lowes, it is Lowes Foods to Go and all the prices are listed.

I love this feature, I just wish all grocery stores had their entire inventory online with current sale prices!

I do not get everything super cheap/free ya know...I do try and know what a good price is though... Why today, I just had to pay $1.89 for 2lbs of cake flour (whew I had a coupon atleast!) and full price for bithday cards...I guess I should have taken my lazy butt up to CVS to get the ecb cards, but it is raining and cold and I really didn't want to go out today-plus I had butter and sugar waiting in the mixer.

To help take the sting out of the $1.25 I paid for each fruit cup, I found a link on HCW to mail in for 4 free coupons wyb 8 4pks of dole fruit cups here (http://www.dolechallenge.com/). I already have 6 so I only need 2 more. I actually plan on doing this twice. I am going to go on Tuesday and get the 2 I need and I have a raincheck to get 8 more. So for $20 I will get a total of 24 -4packs that equals $.84 a pack or $.21 a cup:wink7:.

It is the salty snacks that they are beeping on. Mine did the same with the cheez its and the snack mix kind. I checked and sure enough the Manfacturers codes don't match.

And when I bought my JD sausage, I noticed that the sale tags were only on the natural kind not the regular kind. I bought the natural kind and mine was on sale.

mine beeped on every but the fudge striped cookies!
the first time the head cashier said it was b/c the Q didn't cover the sandies :rolleyes24: so I just didn't buy them. I don't like me anyway.
the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th time someone has overrode it but everytime I've had to say "you didn't double it." The 5th time the Manager overrode it. The 6th time the Manager said "I'll do it this time but theres a limit to the number of time you can use a Q that's why it's beeping" Umm well Why did it beep the first?? I said, "is this new? I know there is a limit of 4 like Q's per transaction. are you saying now it is monitored by your rewards card?" He's says, "I don't know I'll call coperate Monday and double check."

They've been OOS on them since the last ones I bought. I'm tired of messing with those darn things to be honest!

It is really starting to feel like I have swaped stores with Uummm!

Thanks for the responses! I bought the Cheez Its - so that explains it! And I am sure "regular" couponers don't even notice that the coupons don't double when they are manually entered. I sure did. and the only reason I was buying was cause they would have been free..
