I bought 100 St. Pete Times today in the Ocala area & there wasn't a Smart Source in any of them. VERY dissapointed. I could have paid more for the Gainesville Sun & got both.
Anyone else have this problem or was it just my region?

Same here. Either I read somewhere, or dreamed it ( I dream about coupons sometimes), that Smartsource was no longer going to be in the Sunay paper in some of the counties in Florida. I can't remeber where I saw it. Maybe www.iheartpublix.com (http://www.iheartpublix.com), in the comment section......can't remember.:shrug7:

I did not get them in the St Pt times I bought either, but I did get it in the Ocala local paper I bought.
Does anyone get the St Pt paper delivered? Maybe its just not in the store bought papers?

found this posted by Brenda there-
“Smart Source has reduced their print requests and their coupons will no
longer be included in Citrus, Hillsborough, Manatee and parts of Pasco counties. Proctor & Gamble simply did not order enough printed copies.”

You can add Sarasota to that list of not getting it....

Well the good news is that Marion County is not only that list
But the bad news, is that the paper is more expensive :shrug7:

I normally buy 200 of the St. Pete times. I guess I'll now save the 80 mile round trip drive & start buying locally here in Gainesville. It's more per paper but at least it will have all the coupons.
This really STINKS!!!!!

I also buy my papers in Ocala. No smart source. I wonder if the Orlando paper had them both?:rolleyes24:

I don't know about FL, but where my mom lives (western NC) the paper she works for did not have the SS for the last two weeks. She told me tonight that apparently there is some "discussions" going on between the paper and SS? about the price of the coupons (you know what the paper pays to include them). Maybe this is what has happened to y'all in FL?

Well I think it would be a big mistake on the newspap(all of them) to drop the coupons. Advertising is the only thing keeping them alive. My order alone was 1/2 of the drivers sales. I would think it would be an interesting poll to see how many people "wouldn't" buy the paper if the coupons weren't in them. I know I wouldn't b/c I don't have time to read it all. NEWS, I can get online or the TV. Ads however are nice to plan for sales etc.
I think we are a main source of financial support for the papers.
