Report from SD is no doublers in Wednesday's ad. Don't know any details of what is in the ad nor if we will be getting doublers this weekend. I'm kinda glad for a little break, but a 4 day break is plenty so I'm keepin my fingers crossed for Sunday. :)

Sometimes I get so relieved to have a 4 day break because I can't stop when there are good deals. (Lots of Electrosal, Rubbermaids and Yoplait):rolleyes24:

I have seen the ad and it is a really boring ad unfortunately, Alot of store brand 10 for 10 stuff. I don't have it with me to answer any questions but just thought I'd let you know to not get your hopes up for anything exciting. LOL

Boring is not even close to describing the ad, I have it in hand and it's close to the most pathetic Albies ad I have ever seen, Even if we get doubles this weekend it's going to be hard to make any deals. LOL

A bit blah, but could be improved if there are doubles Sunday (free Jolly Time, Kens, G2, Dannon, cheap Kelloggs, maybe Kraft cheese).

If you got a bunch of last week's ads for the doubles, the $2/2 in-ad MC Hillshire/Sara Lee coupon is still good through 1/30/10.
Also the Special K b4g1 free promo from that ad is still good, dates are 1/6-1/26/10.

We need hot dogs too...DS was asking for some the other day (actually he requested two days in a row, I felt bad I didn't have any)

Hersheys Extra Dark 4.5 oz bars are $1 this week, according to online shopping prices. Use $1/1 q from 1/10 SS to get them free, no doubler needed! However, I've noticed that prices for online shopping aren't always the same as in store prices. Hopefully that won't be the case with the Hershey bars. :)

Not sure if this is in all stores but I noticed the Birdseye steamfresh was a bonus buy at $1.00 a bag.

Birds Eye Steamfresh Vegetables, Any Bag - 01-10-10 SS
There are several coupons in database for .50 or 1.00 off 1+ doubler = free
Also coupon in 12-06-09 SS for 1.00/2 + doubler would be free.

I need to restock so may use some doublers for this.

Okay, one more thing.

I asked our Albertsons to consider ordering Marcal products. The manager guy is very coupon friendly.

I told him that I and a bunch of coupon buddies would bring Albertson's lots of money with the Marcal coupons.

They are always free and we get coupons regularly for them. I told him other stores carry Marcal but no one in our area carries the single rolls. His reply was if people want something that Albertson's doesn't have we will try to get it. So maybe you all could help by requesting your Albertsons to please carry Marcal products.

It might work. I always have tons of coupons but no Marcal.:thanks7:

Okay I will quit posting and go to bed now!

Sorry I forget not everyone can double over $1.00 coupons. All 4 of my Albertsons double all value of coupons. They say they just double up to a $1.00.

Is it not okay to post that deal?

I will check the price if it was on the kettle baked or regular.

If your Albertsons does not double and you missed out on the Walgreen's deal.

Fred Meyer has their electrosal for 3.49 so it would be $1.00 per box.

Kettle baked chips are pretty good. I bought several varieties at Food Emporium in Lynnwood for .50/bag after $1 q and doubler. For those of you in the north Seattle metro area, PM me if you want more information on Food Emporium, as I don't want to get too off topic in the Albies forum. But it's a nice store and they double 5 manufacturers qs, up to $2!!! Thanks to MommmieD for discovering this.

Online it looks like the Special Dark is $1 but not the Extra Dark (reg. $2.29). Still decent with doublers, except for their annoying habit of excluding the Pomegranate one (3.35oz) with the size restriction on the coupon.
Another doubler deal is the Healthy Choice soup $1 use 75c/2 01-03-10 SS makes them 25c each wyb 2.

Hi,

Can you tell me more about the Food Emporium? I'm in Everett and I don't think we have that store here.

TIA

Not too far from Everett! It's on Highway 99 and Mukilteo Speedway and is officially known as Olsons Food Emporium. Doublers are in the store flyer which are located right inside the doors. (Ask cashiers if by any chance they are out.) The store doubles up to $2.00 and will do either five or six per transaction (depending on cashier). There are six coupons in the flyer but the coupons say that there is a limit of five per transaction...so that is the confusion.

The store is pricey but here are a few deals:

Free through Tuesday with doublers:
Ronzoni pasta is $.99 (use $.50 tearpad qs that were available in October and November)
Ronzoni smart taste pasta is $1.50 (use $.75 insert coupons and doublers)
Special K is $2.00 (use $1 Kelloggs peelies and doublers) These boxes have the $10 off jeans by mail with 5 Special K Tokens on them so submit for the rebate.
EggBeaters are $1.99 so free with $1/1 peelie.

Angel Soft tissue is $3.99 for 12 rolls so $1.99 with $1/1 q and doublers.
More deals I'm sure but I haven't looked too hard...I had 3 tearpads of Ronzoni qs so all I've been doing is getting pasta and/or Special K twice a day...and interjecting an occasional run for EggBeaters in there once in awhile.

Often there are mark-downs on dairy here so if you go, always take a walk through that department. Organic Farms milk, for example, is often marked down and there is a $2/2 q (which could be doubled) in the health food mag found at the floral booth. A couple weeks ago the store was so overstocked with eggnog that they gave two half gallons away to everyone who wanted them.

Are you saying that your newspapers don't have the doublers ads? They are in the Sunday papers whenever Albies has a weekend flyer ad but Albies hasn't had these in awhile. Yesterday Albies had a special weekend flyer with doublers in the paper again - in the previous week they were in the regular weekly ad instead and the week before that we had NO doublers at all.

I'd call the newspaper and find out why. Maybe Albies isn't paying to have them enclosed...or maybe the paper delivery guy is being lazy and hasn't inserted them.
