A&P ~ Fresh or Free policy on frozen items?

would anyone know what is A&P policy on expired frozen items? I found a frozen turkey yesterday 10 days past the expiration date. they told me that fresh or free does not apply. that's ok with me. but the only deal they would offer would be 1/2 price of exact same item not out of date. that is not good enough of a deal for me so i did not take it. but now i am wondering what their policy is on frozen meats that are out of date. TIA

Can anyone tell me where to even find the fresh or free policy in writing? I've looked all over their website.

I was in A&P this week & found 2 items expired. I got a shrug from CS & "I'll tell my manager". And I emailed corporate & got a form letter thanking me for my email. I was actually just letting them know what a turn off it is for people to find expired stuff, I didn't even know there was a "fresh or free" policy. Seems like corporate doens't either. HTH.

Unfortunately this doesnt surprise me......
I stopped buying any fresh/frozen meats (milk also)from them after an experience I had a couple years ago. CS and staff that I made aware of this seemed to care less.
Another trader told me their was a special on t.v. about this expiration issue and A&P was named.

I did see the "fresh or free" in the store somewhere, and remember thinking "yeah right" but I dont remember the details.

I stick to the fab deals on paper/cleaner/cereal and such non parishable products to be safe.

A few years back we had a Farmer Jack chain here which is part of A&P. They had the fresh or free policy. I remember the radio commercial saying that if you found something expired in the store you would get a duplicate item totally free.

I did once buy some chicken and when I took it home to cook it that day it was gross. I took it back immediately. They gave me a refund and gave me not one but two packages of chicken for the inconvenience.
