Lowes Foods: Whats everyone buying this week? 12/16-12/26

So what are you guys buying this week? The spices are a no brainer but is anyone buying anything else?

I am still waiting on my coupons. They should be here today I HOPE.

Bertolli sauce. My coupons for sauce and spice coupons haven't arrived either. I hope they're in the mailbox today.

UGH!!! Mine still didn't come! I am glad the McCormick ones don't expire until 4-30-10...but this is really annoying. I have been mailing stuff FIRST CLASS all week and it has taken 2 days to get to where it is going. Even to WA from here I sent a package on the 16th and she got it yesterday! This totally bites.

Mine haven't come either oh well the deal didn't pan out to be as great as we all first thought. Maybe another deal will come along. Of course I'm not driving today anyway with all this wonderful snow we have.

We got mostly sleet with a few snow flakes. Made for good sledding this morning if you could get out before 9am when the tempature went above 32 and the sun was out.

I am getting spices, sauce, and lots of stuff I needed with my FRC and OYNO cats - flour, sugar, turkey sausage, milk.

We (in Winston-Salem) got roughly 8 inches of snow - my son made (with his dad's help for the blue coloring) Bob from Monsters vs. Aliens in our front yard!

I was in the house baking - homemade granola bars, chocolate chip cookie bars, and peanut butter bites - tomorrow will make sausage balls.

As for LF, we are planning on getting some Oscar Mayer bacon if our coupons ever get here...stupid mail.

Other than that...our plans are much like PHMom's...spending those FRC's & catalinas on stuff we actually need. :biggrin:

Anybody seen a good deal on butter? We just pulled out our last 2 boxes out of the freezer. It was sad. We haven't bought butter in over a year...:hysterical:

Real Butter talk-I bought butter, 25 things of it, back around easter I tink at HT...That stash ran out a few months ago. WM has it for $1.49 cause Aldi does too. Hopefully HT will put it on sale (or LF I guess) and there will be a nice coupon to go along with it too. I wish I had bought more back then. I think I only had ordered 20 coupons back when I got it. I have manged to find it here and there (LF Cabot for $.99-$.50/1Q) and gotten a few boxes once in a while, but I am still waiting for someone to put it for less than $2 at a store that doubles Q.

I also got the ICBINB+Smart Balance when it was free at HT a few weeks back to use only for baking certain things (like breads) since you can't taste it in some things and it won't affect how it turns out...I am almost out of that too.

Not terrific by any stretch but Target has LOL butter for $1.99 this week - no doubling of course but if you could find a Q for that it could get you by until you could find a better deal maybe.

I haven't seen any butter coupons in quite a while. And you all know my feelings on that yellow colored goop they try to pass off as butter. If it isn't natural, I don't want to eat it. :biggrin:

I just went back today to get the rest of my OM bacon. I also ordered coupons for the Birdseye steam fresh but got hoodooed by Lowe's. I bought 4 different( corn, broccoli, green beans, etc) and they only doubled 4. The rest was face value. I tried to ask the boy, but he just acted like he didn't hear me. Oh well, free would have been good, but .50ea for 16 bags of veggies isn't too bad.

At LF, only 4 like coupons will double...regardless of the varieties you buy with the coupons. It's based on the UPC code of the coupon. You have to break up the order into seperate transactions to get them all to double. LF has been like that for as long as we've done coupons.

I knew it was 4 but I thought you couldn't get like 20 or the same kind, ie corn,etc. I guess next time I will know better.

I've been waiting and waiting for a store chain to have their store brand sodas on sale for 5 twelve packs for $10. It seems the best Bloom and others can do is 4 for $10.
I went to Lowes for the B2G3 free Pepsi's. $5.59 per 12 pack is a very inflated price, but It works out to $2.27 or only about 2 cents a can more than if the store brand was 5 for $10.

I also used one $1/1 and one .75/1 coupon on B1G1 free Mrs. Smith's
