View Full Version : Lowes Foods ~ Question Lowe's Foods...Is there a limit to how many $5.00 FRC print in a day?

I went tonight for the McCormick deal and I got 6 orders of 3 spices each. I got all my ONYO coupons but the register didn't print my last 2 - $5.00 FRC. I asked the cashier and she said that there may be a limit but that the register had to prompt her to run them through before she could even start another order. So what do you guys know? Has anyone else had this problem?

Simply put, no. There is no limit. I assume you may have gotten spices that may not qualify for the FRC. I'm pretty sure only the "red topped" spices work.

I've done 4 of the same FRC deal in one transaction, so I know if there is a limit, it isn't 3. Although PHMom mentioned something about a limit of 3 in the main thread. I wonder if they are limiting this. I sure hope not.

Call customer service and they will fix it. They are really good about getting it right.

The sign that I saw about limits was just about buying the same type of spices - like you get 3 cinnamon and then you could get 3 chili powder, etc. I haven't seen anything about limits on the FRC - definitely call CS and check, please let us know what they say. I can go by a different Lowe's 2-3 times per day but I know not everyone can do that so it would be good to know if there are limits.

I also ran into the same situation tonight. I did not receive $5 coupons on my fifth and sixth transactions. That tells me there is a limit of 4. What I don't know is if that's per day or total.

I did the McCormick deal 5 times, but only the first 4 FRC's printed. I'll be calling tomorrow. I sure hope this gets fixed. Either way, OOP of $.45, and $20 FRC's in hand and $10 catalina's in hand. So far so good.

If it was limited then is should have said in the ad, just like CVS and the ECBs. I am going there tomorrow to get my "regular" shopping done and I will ask the "seasoned" cashiers.
I will let you know

I went this morning and talked to the manager and he said that the company (not Lowe's Foods but whoever issues the FRC could have put limits on it and it states that company could limit quantities. I took it as quantities of merchandise, not money. I am calling CS now.

I think we have a problem here.....
I went this AM and did my 5th transaction. I got the OYNO but not the FRC.
The cs person called cs and they tried to figure it out. Took more than 10 minutes.
They put the $5 credit on my card, but didn't have a good explanation for why it didn't work.
Person on the phone did try to say the 1oz cinnamon wasn't included, but both the store cs lady and I knew that wasn't true.

So it looks like 5 is the limit.
What a bummer. I still have 60 coupons and all I got was cinnamon. I had planned to start stocking up on the more expensive spices.

Most of all, I hate that it drew attention to the deal.

I did call customer service and the nice lady was suppose to call back, but didn't or hasn't yet. But she did say that there shouldn't be a limit because we, the customer, has earned those FRC by buying the products.

Would have been nice for them to mention it earlier... like in the ad.

So Is that $20 FRC per deal/item or for a day?

Is this the first time there has been a deal this good...Cory?

The sign I saw said "per household" so I took that to mean per card for the duration of the deal. But Cory said in the other thread that CS told him twice there was no limit.

I think this is the best FRC deal they've done yet but I will defer to Cory for the final answer on that too - LOL

Oh well....I guess I might have a ton extra coupons left over if this is so. Still haven't received mine and it's supposed to snow tommorrow :hectic1:.

Yes, this is the best FRC deal by far, and probably the best money maker I've ever seen in my neck of the woods...but, it may not end up that way. I was hoping to eclipse the great "Glade" deal of 08' (we made $200+ on that one), but sadly...it seems like I will fall short.

PHMom, did the signs you saw look "official" or just something the store made up?

I guess I'll wait for the phone call from LF tomorrow before officially labeling this deal over for me...but I'm pretty sure I already know the answer.

Is there some kind of limit on the catalinas too?

After hearing we can only do this 4 times I figured I'd get all 4 times over with since we are getting a huge snow storm and I'm not sure when I'd get back out to Lowe's during the deal..

First 3 times I got the $3 Catalinas (4 spices)
The last time I got a $1 Catalina (also 4 spices).. =/

I didn't even notice till out to my car and was a bit disappointed, esp since I didn't use any coupons for this deal and some of the spices I got were a bit expensive (got random stuff I've been wanting to cook with and there was a limit of 3 on cinnamon).
