Buy 3 McCormick spices and get $5 FRC
Select McCormick spices are 30% off
Second, from 10/30 to 12/27:

My store didn't place my special order. When I mentioned that I would be using coupons the grocer that places the order said I would need to clear it with the manager first. My only experience with the manager was when he grumped about a few coupons I was using. Not mean - just seemed put out.
Any of you had problems using coupons/breaking it up on a special order? I've got to call him tomorrow. :hectic1:

Do you have to do the deal at 3 or 4 per transaction? What if you bought six at the same time? Would you get 2x $5 FRC and 1x $3 OYNO?
Or, are y'all just doing more than one transaction per visit? How many is 'pushing it'?
Thanks.

I've never placed a special order at Lowes, but I did this evening. We'll see if I get it. I've only ever placed one special order at a grocery store, and I had no problems with it.

You can do as many as you want in one transaction, but you will only get one OYNO catalina. You will get credit for all the FRC's. From what I understand, you can qualify for unlimited amounts of FRC's. I've done as many as 3 in one transaction for the FRC's.

Not trying to stray way off topic . . . but I just got shut down by my local LF manager. He would not allow me to break up a special order. Now I understand that it would have backed up a line and created more work. However, I'm buying product and you are getting reimbursed for the MQ's. I've worked in retail and when we knew a big order was coming, we would work with the person to come in when we knew we would be slow and adequately staffed.

Well ya see, I went and looked at the coupon prices this morning on ebay, they were bidding (no buy it now or store items) over $2 plus shipping. I spelled it differently and what do you know, someone had 20 listed for $1.24 plus shipping....I wasn't going to do this deal (I know, I am just tired from shopping so much the past month plus I knew I had to run around today) and when I looked at the prices of the coupons I really thought no way, but then I checked a common spelling error and bam there she was. HOW COULD I RESIST?

I'm doing multiple transactions, but mainly to get multiple catalinas. YMMV on the 4 coupon limit. Stores interpret that rule in their own way.

It must be per deal because I went last night around 5 and bought 6 orders of 3 spices (only 4 worked) and then went this morning and it still didn't print the FRC OR the OYNO.

Hmmm...this is not what I was hoping for. I called this morning and they added the additional $5 FRC I didn't get yesterday to my card and it printed out today.
But...I did two more transactions today and neither of the FRC's printed. I called Lowes CS again about 20 minutes after I did those 2 transactions and she confirmed that there is no limit to this deal. I told her I'd already called one today and told her I was quite frustrated and just want an answer to why it worked the first 4 times, but not the last 2. I was, however, very nice and she said she would get to the bottom of it and call me tomorrow.

Well since they didn't post a limit, they'll probably have to give it if you ask (unless it's one of those stores that has a sign posted), but what a hassle. I can't spend 15 minutes getting it worked out everytime I go in to buy my 4 little spices.

Well not to mention those stores without signs. I went yesterday and did only 2 transactions (my store had 3 cinnamon, so I picked up some paprika and parsley). There was no sign even near the spices to indicate a limit. If the deals are going to be limited, the limits need to be clearly disclosed. I do believe Lowes Foods can get in trouble for that kind of practice at least in NC. Now I am going to have to bug my MIL about it (she works for the Dept of Justice Consumer Protection Division).

Coupons are regional so sometimes a deal comes along like this one (of course it was not what we thought) and I didn't get this particular coupon in my area. So I go to ebay and order coupons for that sale. Like for instance Viva paper towel single roll insert q's-I get 0.40/1 in the area I live in but MaryJane got 0.85/1 because she lives in another area of the country. I want the 0.85/1 so I can get free or almost free PT at a triple coupon event being held at my local grocery store. I order my coupons from MaryJane, pay and she mails the coupons to me. You can see many variations on the Sunday inserts from different products or various values for same products. Hope this answers your questions.

What is this buying coupons all about? I am just really getting into the coupons. I finally know how to read them to get my moneys worth. I am getting mine out of the paper.
You are not "buying" coupons because in most cases that is illegal...you are paying them for their time and effort to sort, collect and mail you your coupons....
One reason we want a high quanitity of a particular coupon so we can have a lot of what we use a lot of to buy a lot of it when it is rock bottom prices (sometimes resulting in free)-in most cases we are stockpiling. We go through a lot of pasta so when those $.75/1 Smart Taste pasta coupons came out a few weeks ago I acquired a bunch of those coupons knowing that when it is doubled I will get it for free when the item is on sale.
This particular sale we are all acquiring the McCormick coupons because it will make the items very cheap, plus there is a On Your Next Order catalina AND $5 Fresh Cash rewards wyb 3 of them making them free or close to free.
I could go out and buy 20 papers but like Everprincess said, we don't always get a high valued coupon that another region got. Personally I don't want to go out and buy 20 papers and then have to clip ALL those coupons. I would much rather pay someone else to do it. I usually get the paper see what coupons are in it and then decide if I want more papers. There are several people on this board that don't even get a paper they just trade for all the coupons they can't print off the internet.

Don't forget to factor in the time it is going to take for your coupons to get to you. Ummm still doesn't have her McCormick Qs and I'm still waiting on my Birds Eye Qs and sales change tomorrow night.

Yep all this bad weather is delaying the mail big time. I'm waiting on McCormick's still (glad they don't expire until 04/2010) and Philly Cream Cheese q's (to use a Target this week). Oh well....can't argue with mother nature I guess.

Yes and uummm ordered hers early tuesday morning too from NY....It is too bad not eveyone puts thier ebay sales as a top priority like I do. I mailed something on WEDNESDAY to WA state and it got there on Friday...and yes it went first class mail. Me thinks someone didn't mail them out when she claims too. It didn't start snowing up there until SATURDAY. I hope I get them today, I just don't want to have to be doing all this running around to TRY and get my 16 things of spices.
On a good note, they don't change tomorrow night, these are good until 12/26 (Saturday)-the whole sales flier is.

FYI: uummm is a little touchy when it comes to her McCormick Q's ( with good reason) I foresee someone getting negative feedback on ebay. :wink7:

That's a shame you aren't getting them more quickly....I ordered mine Monday at 7:30 am from Massachusetts and got them Wednesday.
I would think the coupon sellers would know that we operate on a tight time table!

I got them today...Has anyone else not been getting postmarked mail? The stamps had a scribble on them (from the mail carrier) but no postmarks PERIOD...So I can't even accuse them of taking their sweet umm time.
ANYWAYS....
OMG I went to LF and LIKE OMG I got 8 cinammon, 2 minced onion, 2 garlic powder, 2 basil, like 2 vanilla plus 4 International delight creamer, 2 candy things for my kid (I was feeling generous) and 1 steamfresh veggie (used 1 $5 FRC and 2 $3 OYNO) and spent less than $3 oop and still have $21 left to spend!
When a coupon beeps gesh they sit there and examine it! I did break up my order into 4 of them and I know when I got the 4 cinammon and 2 international delight it was such a big order...my ID coupon beeped and she then looks at the Q-which beeps EVERYWHERE- then looks at me, then the Q then asks if I got the item...I know there were SIX ITEMS and it is confusing....Then on another order I used the $3 OYNO cat...gesh....that confused her, she asked if I got the McCormicks (DUHHHH) Then I said pretty much word for word what it said "GOOD ON YOUR NEXT GROCREY ORDER THANKS FROM MCCORMICKS" She then gets her override after he examines this coupon...Am I the first one to use one of these EVER???? I mean she only handed it to me the order before. How do I know it needs the override because of the value and coding and she doesn't?
My last order the total came to $.22...I gave her ONE quarter and TWO pennies...she looks at them and says "Oh here you can have these pennies back, it came to twenty-two cents."

YAAAHHHH uummm got her Q's! :BigHand:
I'm so sick of OYNO's beeped. but I'm so sick of them that I'm going to quit using them. Now when they beep I just play dumb and let them go through their process. Let's see... scan it twice, key it in twice, call for an override. Then the Mgr does all those things and finally gives the override. This is for each OYNO. If I'm in a hurry I will stop the Manager and say, "Hang on she's going to need you in a minute" :giggle2:

I got mine today too! I'm glad to know the stores aren't empty. I hope everything works correctly. Anyone been to any of the Hickory stores to try this?
Another question: do I need a new card for the FRC? I bought the cheese last week [or 1 before] and it shows the $3 FRC on my receipt but I thought I read somewhere that we need a different card to use them? I tried to look on LF site but when I click on the FAQ it takes me to the same page.
Also, if anyone is in need of some of these coupons, I seriously over-purchased. They are listed on my have list - we can definitely work out a trade.

The FRC's are like ECB's at CVS. You have to use the FRC's with the same card you got them from. Their computer system keeps up with it.
I know this because when I called about the McCormick FRC's not printing, the lady told me that I had been given 29 FRC's (I think) and I still have 5 outstanding that I haven't used that expire in January. I asked her how she knew that and she said that my their computer keeps track of the FRC's that each customer receives and redeems.

Finally got my q's today too. Both Hickory stores I went to had some stock with signs up asking customer's to only purchase 3 at one time. First store I got 3 cinnamons, 4 birdseye and 1 om bacon pd $1.16 got back $7. Second store I got 3 more cinnamons, 4 more birds eye, 3 more bacon, 3 nestle baking chips and 4 bc potatoes for $8 got back $7. These are my first purchases with the fresh rewards program and I'm very pleased.

My store had NO signs up-nothing about limiting the cinammons to 3, and nothing about the limit of $20 frc either. My store also had a lot of cinammon, there was a seperate cardboard display of spices too-and no mention of what was producing the FRC on ANY of the spices anywhere. The cardboard display didn't even have the sale prices on it.

So I got 4 more cinnamon tonight, thinking even without the FRC it would be a $3 MM, but I didn't even get the OYNO. What gives?

I went with my mom to do this deal today....
First she got 3 cinammon 2 times. Neither time did the catalina print when I questioned the cashier she said "oh the machine is off line, there is a paper jam."
After standing in line 10 minutes at CS to get her cats the manager finally just gave $4 cash.
Took those 2 $5 FRC and went and bought some groceries AND 1 Poultry seasoning, 1 Thyme and 1 Cinammon (all of which were the 30% off). Tried to use the 2 FRC from previous orders they showed as already been used. They gave her 2 $5 credit since they knew she had just been given the FRC 30 minutes prior. Paid the $.78 then got the $2 cat BUT did NOT get the $5 FRC (this was only the third deal done). Went to the MANAGER and he said it was ONE DEAL PER PERSON (card). He agreed to give the $5 in cash. I asked the CS where it said one per person and he said it doesn't and that it isn't right that that is the rule...
HHHUUMMM...I did this deal 4 times with no problems yet today was one problem after another. Though the manager was very nice and gave the money that was owed but golly we had to spend 15 minutes to get it.
I spent the last of my FRC...glad this is over.

Sorry, my question was worded incorrectly. I needed to know if I had to get a new card to use the FR once they reached the $5 and printed. I still don't know if I could have used them with my old card, but I got a new card yesterday. It was very fast, for anyone who still has the old card.

Since writing it down isn't even good enough for me, ("where did I put that paper?") I've saved it into my cell phone contacts
