$10/$10 fannie mae coupon 12/13 insert

my local paper had an insert (single page) ad for fannie mae...attached to it was a $10 off $10 for instore only. good til 12/24.

i know the chicago tribune (for those that get it in chicago) got this coupon too. i grabbed the trib this morning, but did not have it in mine (i am in peoria).

i went today and grabbed dh's favorite buttercreams...$17.99 after coupon. but they had lots of goodies that you could combine to get right at $10 or just a little over...

We got these here. I am in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. I have 5 of them. Can't wait to add these to my gift baskets.

they sell mainly chocolate. good chocolate at that. they also have nuts and gummy worms/swedish fish gifts you can get instore.

if you dont know what they are, my guess is you dont have a local store. i remember my grandma getting a box of fannie mae's every christmas and she would give us one each when she got them out.

yesterday:
2 chocolate crayons packs (4 or 5 crayons in each)
2 chcolate circle popsicles
oop $.61 after coupon

dh got:
1/2 milk choc vanilla creams
oop after coupon just under $4

the vanilla creams are a gift. i am going back today to get another 1/2 lb of those to make a whole pound for the gift...it was cheaper to use the coupons and break it up then to buy the whole lb at once($27 for lb)


note: you can not use the coupon in store on sale items either. i didnt know that and was told yesterday. it does say on the back "can not be used with other promotions"...just fyi

Tried to buy 10 of the candy bars at $10 - but was told that I could not use the coupon on sale items- so got 7 two oz. bars for a total of .49.

I went to 2 Fannie Mays today. The first one said I had to be over $10. I know I don't but I didn't want to add to their frustrating (I'm know-I saw it myself) day & I got a treat! At the other one, I actually bought something over the $10, they had a much different selection than the first one. Still have 2 to use! :giggle2:
