View Full Version : Meijer-Would not believe it if I had not seen it: CONFIRMED--if you use ANY cat from ANY promotion to pay with, another one will NOT print.

purchased stove top stuffing.......
ALL the stove tops were exactly the same
First order of 5, NO CAT
I had used cats leftover from other deals to pay with
Second order of 5, NO CAT
I had used cats leftover from other deals to pay with
Third order of 5, GOT THE 2.00 cat
HOWEVER, I had run out of other leftover cats to pay with

Went to the service desk.........explained about the missing cats........
She said she thinks they are changing it so if you use any cat, you will not get another cat.

Now I'm fully aware most of the time they don't know what they are talking about and I get sick of the same silly reasons.........
but this one has me wondering............:sad::sad::sad:

I SWEAR this happened to me tonight! I thought it just didn't roll.. but I got one for my first order but not my second! This is INSANE! I'm right behind ya.. Time to give corporate a call tomorrow morning and complain...AGAIN

I purchased 5 of the Stove Top and didn't use any cats for the order and I got the $2 Stove Top cat.

The is wording on the cat is "Additional Coupon Offer Will Not Print When This Coupon Is Used In The Same Tranaction."

This wording in on the cat I got for the Stove Top and also one that I got form purchasing International Delight Creamer.

Maybe they did change the computers some how.

OMG..............I see it now.......off to the side underlined with stars.........it does say it won't print............well this is absolute BULL CRAP because the cats I used.........were NOT stove top cats..........they were cats from other promotions which I can't remember off the top of my head right now. So I guess Meijer is now even WORSE than walgreens in the fact that if you use ANY cat at all........you will not get a cat. WOW.........way to go Meijer.

OH OH...........the cats I used was from the pillsbury deal...........so it wasn't even the same company!

I totally agree. Meijer has become a horrible place to go with coupons. I have never had any problems until about a month ago and now it is just one problem after another.

Each time that I mentioned something about a coupon not coming off the order, or not doubling right or a cat not printing, I get the same response. "Meijer can't give away items for cheap or free."

I bought 5 of the stuffings and got no cat either ... only thing I can think of is that I used the $5 Entertainment Book coupon. Is there anyplace it's publicized that we get $2 WYB 5 STops? If so, I'll bring my receipt to the service desk for it. I figured I was just out of luck though since I hadn't seen the $2 mentioned in our ad; just here.

The more I think about this............the more aggravated I get about it.
Can they do this without posting it anywhere? Seriously, how was I suppose to know by using my OLD cats, which had no such warning on the cat, would result in no new cat.

The ICBINB cats still roll. I used some today. I didn't do it for the cats though, I actually did need a lot of it for holiday cooking and baking. The cats were a plus. I honestly didn't think that they would print since a lot of people were saying that it was pulled. It must only be for certain cats. I used a cat from another promotion for my first purchase of the ICBINB and that was the only items I bought. My cat printed like it was supposed to. I didn't do the stuffing deal because no one here likes stuffing, so I can't confirm this one for my area.

I was told that Ft wayne recently got a new program for their computers.

I have been having problems using legitimate coupons there.:shrug7:

This may sound crazy funny...

BUT, my main concern is that I teach coupon classes. Everytime I teach a class, I have to change my outline b/c the store rules keep changing! I am getting annoyed with this. We seasoned couponers can keep up with it. A newbie can not.

Meijer WILL be loosing me as a preferred customer, and SOON, if they do not get some policies and stick to them. I try to be a patient and gracious person...I can put up with a lot, and am the first to send BIG compliments to corporate every month, but I can't handle policy change every week. It should be un-ethical business. I have NEVER contacted Meijer with a complaint, but I believe that I will be doing so now.
