Tennessee Pride sausage 1 lb (mild and hot) is on sale for $1.99. Use $1
Tennessee Pride product, any - 11-15-09 RP and get it for $0.99/1. Pretty cheap sausage. Located right next to the Owens sausage.

This is a good deal, but I've never tried their sausage so I don't know how it tastes. Usually I can get the Owen's for about $1.15.

Has any one tried the Tennessee Pride sausage?
I got the gravy packets free when they were on sale and gotta say NO to packaged frozen gravy :hysterical:, but maybe the sausage isn't so bad:shrug7:

We love this sausage! I like to use the 'hot' in my Velveeta cheese dip. Yummy! Just in time for the holidays. Thanx for pointing out this deal.

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place but if you have a Sellers Bros. near you they have their TP sausage on sale for $.99 with a $10 purchase ( they have surf for $3.99 so use your $3 q ) so free with the coupon. But its on sale for $1.39 w/o a $10 purchase so only $.39!! Better deal!!

Thank you for this information! I saw the Surf in the Sellers Brothers ad myself and I was wanting to get some so now I will pick up the sausage too! Do you know if the $10 purchase is before coupons? Also can I pick up the limit of 3 rolls of sausage in one transaction and use $1 coupons for each of them? Will there be problems with the coupon beeping because it's more than the cost of the item? I haven't done a lot of coupon shopping at Sellers Bros. before.

I think the $10 is BEFORE coupons but I think this is a YMMV. What I usually do is the whole transaction then give the cashier the coupons one at a time that way if there is a problem, they will call the manager and the manager will just push thru all my coupons. The sausage roll should go thru but if you have any problems just ask the manager to adjust the coupon down for you! HTH:wavehi: Happy shopping:smile:

Beware, the hot sausage is hot. DH likes spicy and he was the one to tell me that it was hot.

I know someone posted about this a week or so ago, but can't remember end date ... anybody know?

To me, sausage is sausage ... my brain prefers Owens, but my stomach isn't as snobbish! (I think it's because the Owens package is brighter.)

I've been switching between Owens, Jimmy Dean and TPride ... think it was on the JD that, at the end of the roll, there was a LOT of water in one of them when I fried it ... first time I had that on any of them.

(For those of you that may not know, it freezes well!)

My family likes the TP sausage. I can't tell the difference between it & any other sausage. The Kroger in Sugar Land had the hot variety marked "managers special" for $1.49 on Saturday.

I believe it was somewhere in January.
