Are you ready? We need your help. We have 6 days to get 2000 responses to our survey.

Here's the deal.

Please post and encourage your readers to participate in our Black Friday Consumer Shopping Habits survey. We hope to use the information we get to inform retailers about what they should be doing differently with their Black Friday ads and sales.

There will be a 2nd survey after Black Friday (and a second blogging contest).

People who do both surveys will be eligible for a chance to be drawn for a $50 Gift Card from Amazon.com. People who are chosen to participate in the follow-up phone interviews will be compensated $100.00 in the form of an Amazon.com GC.


For the purpose of the blogging contest, all bloggers who blog the survey and then post a link in this thread will be put in for a $50 Amazon.com Gift code.

But, it's also a chance for you to share your blog with Hotcouponworld. So, be sure to tell us about your blog, link the blog post to this thread, and share anything else about your blog/topic that you'd like HCWers to know.

Thank you for this opportunity not only to enter the contest, but to post my blog, SavenMaven (http://savenmaven.blogspot.com/2009/11/help-hot-coupon-world-help-you-and-me.html).

I started the blog a little over a year ago when I was sucked into this way of life by you and other bloggers. My blog is basically dedicated to coupons and the stores that I shop. I use another blog for my family life.

I just started Mineral Monday because I know there are others that share my love of make up, but prefer organic choices. I haven't come across too many that blog about minerals unless they are mineral addicts sale or no sale. So I decided to post about my favorite companies and their sales to make my blog a little different from others or so that is my hope.

I started my blog, Savings Makes Cents (http://www.savingsmakescents.com/), in late summer of 2008. My aunt died earlier that summer and I often found myself wanting to call her and share great deals I found. Obviously I could no longer do that. I started my blog to share my savings with others and as a way to keep track of my savings and spending.

At the end of 2008 I discovered my blog had helped at least a handful of people "get" couponing. I was excited I had touched others in a positive way. I decided I was going to be a better blogger and a bigger help to others in 2009.

Things were going great until I discovered I was pregnant with our third child in late January. Our 2nd child had just turned 1 year the previous month and at first I was frightened of such a small age difference. I got over that quickly but then nausea and fatigue kicked in. We had our first sonogram and I shared the pregnancy with the world.

Well the day after the sonogram the pregnancy filled with drama about some complication that might be. Long story short the pregnancy ended in a healthy baby girl. I have been struggling with keeping up the blog off and on since late january.

My short term goal is to do what I can with the blog during my daughters most dependent time(now). I hope to get back to power blogging once she is around one and a little more independent. So my goal for 2009 has been pushed to mid year 2010.

I filled out the survey & posted the link on my blog - Ann's Crazy World (http://annscrazyworld.blogspot.com/2009/11/can-you-help-out.html). I just started my blog in August. I try to do weekly match-ups for Ukrop's a Richmond, VA based family-owned grocery store. I post pictures of my double coupon Wednesday deals in addition to deals I get from other places. I also add in a touch of my everyday life as a mom of two little girls.

I started my blog in February. I am newer to couponing - had only couponed a few months before blogging, so my idea has been to help people learn HOW to coupon - not just show them the deals. In October, I celebrated my one year coupining anniversary by launching a 16-post, in-depth series about getting started with coupons. I covered everything from stockpiling, finding coupons, understanding coupon policies, and ethics. The series can be found on my blog under "October Coupon Lessons."

So when you find my weekly grocery and drugstore matchups, I'll take the time to explain wherever I can HOW to do those deals and any tips I can add. I try to spell things out simply so that ANYONE can start saving money.

What else makes my blog different? I understand that many men are couponers and I work hard to make my blog readable for both genders. You won't find cutesy avatars, floral backdrops, and I certainly won't address my readers as "ladies."

I also take a very common sense approach to blogging. You won't find me sharing pictures of buying $400 worth of stuff at Walgreens for $3. Nor will I tell you how to profit on buying glucose monitors you don't use. I've come to see frugality as being wise with ALL your resources - time, money, and space. I advocate sensible shopping and common courtesy in couponing and this is a major theme throughout my posts.

I'm a freelance copywriter, so my blog has provided an additional outlet for me to develop another aspect of my writing.

Thanks for reading - if you still are! I put blood, sweat, and tears into my blog - frequently up into the wee hours of the night after I put the kids to bed. I'm passionate about what I do. Hotcouponworld has played a big role in my coupon education and I frequently give them props!

Good morning! I just posted about the survey on my blog "Frugality In The Making (http://frugalityinthemaking.blogspot.com/2009/11/black-friday-shopping-survey.html)".

My blog is about a year and a half old at this time. I focus mainly on my own family's strides to become frugal. I don't put in too much personal info, just ideas of what has worked and what hasn't. I also post the Big Y sales and coupon match ups each week!

I like to showcase some shopping trips using coupons and let my readers know which coupons helped to maximize my savings.
