View Full Version : Giant PA ~ Good Deal Surprise deal on the Dove shampoos & conditioners

I stopped at the Mechanicsburg Giant on my way to work this morning and bought 5 of the $2.99 Dove (3 conditioners, 2 shampoos) that are on the gas deal. I used 3 $1.50 on conditioner coupons and 2 $1 on shampoo coupons. When I was done, my total came to $4.05! After the coupons were deducted, another $5 comes off which I knew nothing about. There must be some kind of a buy 5 get $5 off deal running.
By the way, every one of my coupons beeped and the UScan cashier had to manually put them in. Dove coupons always beep at my Giant.

That's pretty neat! Has anybody else done this deal? If so, did you get the extra $5 to come off?

It's part of the buy 5 get $5 off promo going on this week, so maybe your store doubled the promo by mistake? I don't think there's any other promo going on. The coupons often beep at my store for the $ off promos.

Hmm, I dunno but I'm gonna stop after work and try it again. That's my favorite shampoo & conditioner. I looked at my receipt and it just says "SC SAVE $5", then under that it says "BP 200 GAS PTS". Thankfully, I have more coupons.

$2.99 x 5 = $14.95

Super great deal with the extra $5 off! Wish I had coupons to try it too!

Those of us who get the $ off are also getting the gas points. I bet you'll get the $ off along w/your gas points, then.

It is working for those that get the gas deals. Just tried it at the Dville Martin's and got the gas points and the $5 off!

SSSSWWWWWEEEEEETTTT! Too bad I already went there today (with 3 sick kids in tow). I had to get my turkey today so it could thaw and wanted to go before it got crazy. Maybe there will be a reason to head there again later tonight.
