Is this how JC Johnson is giving their $5. rebate??

I sent in my receipts for 3 glade candles to JC Johnson for the $5. rebate. I got the email saying it was confirmed and I would be receiving my check.

This is what I got today:

Dear C....F...

Thank You for your business. As promised we've enclosed your Drano Max gel Money back Guarantee refund. While you were not completely satisfied with your purchase blah blah blah.

What???? I never sent anything like that in. Is this how they are giving the MIR checks? If not then I got a bonus $5. because I have never ever bought any drano.

Weird, I got the same thing today! I have just sent one SC Johnson rebate so far, so I was assuming that is what this $5 check is for! I haven't bought any Draino either!:shrug7:

What was the response on the check, something wierd like I got? I'm just wondering if this is really for the rebate. I guess I will find out in a few weeks if I don't get another check.

yep, I got the same response you got about the money back guarantee for draino. I had to look at the name/address to make sure I hadn't got someone else's mail!

I submitted two Glade Candle rebates, and received 2 ($5.00) checks in the mail today saying the same thing about the Drano Max Gel. I hope I don't get denied if I submit the rebate for the Drano Max Gel, cause I was going to buy some.

I got the emails a while back confirming....I don't remember them saying anything about Drano though, lol....hmmmm, I haven't gotten any checks in the mail yet though - hopefully soon!

You would think that they would just say Thanks for buying 3 participating JC Johnson products. Oh well as long as the check says $5.00 thats all I care about :giggle2:

I got an email confirming the rebates were confirmed. Then I got something in the mail from them stating that I did not include the UPC's. It was my understanding they only needed the UPC numbers. Is this correct? OR do they need the actual UPC's?

I didnt send any UPC's.. They even have spaces on the form to put the UPC #. I would be contacting them if I were you.

Thanks for posting this! I was just on my way to ask the same thing about the rebate because I knew I hadn't submitted one for Drano. Good to know I'm not the only one who received it this way. As someone else said, I just care about my $5!

I was wondering if any of you did the Target glade candle deal with coupons? Did they still send you a $5 check even though you used coupons. I know awhile back when we were doing the meter deals they wouldn't give you the rebate because of the coupons making it free. Just curious.

I am waiting on all my rebates as well, but if anyone doesn't want their Draino.. I 'll take it. I actually need Draino at this time; and to think I emailed them the other day giving them a "BS" letter on how I loved their products just so they can send me a Free one. LOL :hysterical:

I did buy the Draino and sent in for the rebate. I also bought the 3 S.C. Johnson products and sent that in. I get in the mail 2 checks a doy or 2 apart. One was the correct amount for the Draino and the other was $5 again it said Draino. I guess that must have been the 3 items from S.C. Johnson. Thanks for posting.

I didn't do the Target deal, but here's what I did. I bought 3 of the gel plug-ins, and used 3 FREE coupons, so I spent nothing on them, except for tax. I did buy other items in that shopping trip. And they sent me a check for $5. Not a bad deal!

I got my "Draino" rebates a few days ago. I thought it was wierd because I hadn't bought any Draino, but did just figure it was my Glade rebates.

I got my checks the other day and it had the message about the Drano on the back. Maybe they had so many Drano forms left and just thought they would save money by using them instead of printing the correct message on the back. I can't be mad at them for using the supplies they have on hand. It's a bad economy...LOL!

I have a question here.... I submitted three rebates and only got 2 confirmation letters. I sent the first on 10/10, the second on 10/16 and the third on 11/13. I got confirmation for either the first or second and also confirmation for the third. I have received the check for either the first or second rebate. I think they may have misplaced my either first or second rebate..... Anyone experience this? I don't think SC Johnson personally handles the rebate but anyone has any info for me to contact them?? Thanks...

I got the "draino" rebate also although I bought glade products.

I bought glade products at CVS with coupons and got the full $5 rebate. The qualification is that you buy 3 products so it shouldn't matter if you used coupons. It would only matter if you had to buy a certain $ amount to get the rebate.

I've used all my target glade receipts and have all 3 of them back alredy. Now just working on family members.

I sent 3, 2 on 11/10 (2 envies) and one on 11/17. I have received one email confirmation and one check. I am worried about the other 2. I don't even know which one the email confirmation and check was for.

I received all three rebates yesterday with something about Drano Max Gel Money Back Guarantee refund attached to the checks and I sent for it less than three weeks ago so that was pretty quick. Just in time for Christmas =)
