Thanks and reps.

I'm confused about the movie deal. Buy 2 boxes of cereal and you get the code for a free movie ticket?

Says one per customer or is that per day?

TIA!

Just got my Cardenas Market weekly circular, and there's a manufacturer coupon for $3.00 off 4 12-packs of Coke products that can be combined with the Albies 4/$9.00 deal this week to get 4 12-packs for $6.00.

The Rio Ranch Market flyer also has a Coke MQ, for $2.00 off 3 12-packs.

Will post this in the Ralphs thread too, since Ralphs has a 4/$10.00 deal going on this week. Update: Just checked my Ralphs ad, and the 4/$10.00 deal is with a manufacturer's coupon in their ad. Albies' is a store coupon so stacking is possible, not so with Ralphs'. So Albies is the place to go for cheap Coke this week.

Ocean Brez, if this should be a separate thread, please let me know.

You're good to go ChipL! It's much easier to catch/read all the deals that pertain to a particular weeks ad cycle if they are posted to the same thread, instead of individual new ones.

ETA: There is also a $2/3 12-packs Manufacturer's Coke coupon in the Valu+ Food Warehouse ad.

I wonder if it's worth it for me to spend $25 at albies to get the turkey. I need one anyway but all the stuff I need for thanksgiving dinner is to overpriced at albies (mostly I need produce). Maybe if I get the movie ticket deal. So you get the codes from the box and get a ticket online? Is it good for any movie. I want to take my kids to see the priness and the frog when it comes out.

The online e-movie tickets are good for any movie and are valid for 60 days from the date that you print the free movie voucher.

Even if you decide to pass on getting the turkey at Albertsons (I got my first turkey at Vons and plan on getting my second one at Ralphs :whistle67: ), the Movie ticket promo is a sure thing.

Cool! I used to subscribe to the UT (I live in San Diego North County) and let my subscription go when they stopped carrying the RP insert. Now I only subscribe to the LA Times. I guess no matter how I decide to look at it, I am missing some good coupons know matter what I do. LOL! :giggle2:

Awesome!! It's nice to know there's another San Diegan on these boards. I was beginning to think I was the only one. lol

So since the movie ticket thing is a code from the box can I do more than 2 per tx to get more movie tickets or do I need them on different receipts?

You don't need a receipt to enter the codes. Since the codes are inside the boxes, all you need to do is buy at least 2 SMP cereal boxes in order to be able to enter the two codes required online to get your FREE movie ticket voucher. In better words, there is no limit to how many SMP cereal boxes you can buy per transaction/order. Hope this answers your questions.

Anyone doing the movie ticket thing they are also good for El Capitan theater (the disney theater). It say only up to $12 and I think El Capitan is $16 so you would just have to pay $4. The tickets expire on 1/10/10 so the only thing you can see at El Capitan is Christmas Carol - no princess and the frog :(

I wonder if it's worth it for me to spend $25 at albies to get the turkey.

I was wondering the same thing, but I did the Dreyer's deal which took up $10.96 of the total (Dreyer's 1.5 qts $2.49 x 2 and Drumsticks $2.99 x 2) because the $4 comes out as a catalina for next time.

I suppose this is "duh" for the veterans in the group, but I started to buy my normal 20 lb turkey and realized as I was there that I'm actually much better off to use the $10 off coupon in the circular for a smaller turkey.

20 lbs x .99 per lb = $19.80 - $10 q = 20lb turkey for $9.80

12 lbs x .99 per lb = $11.88 - $10 q = 12lb turkey for $1.88

Do 12 lb turkey in first transaction and repeat in 2nd transaction and you end up with 24 lbs of turkey for $ 3.76. Keep in mind though that you'd have to have a $25 qualifying purchase for each transaction.

Gift Card deal - please note:

You need the q in the circular to get the $10 off!

I forgot to give the q to the cashier. I looked at my receipt as I walked to the car and realized I forgot to give it to her. I took the receipt, the card and the q back to the cashier and she, with manager's approval, graciously have me $10 back.

Thanks prayerbear for all the extra info on the deals. All tips are appreciated and helpful! :BigHand:

BTW ~ If anyone here gets the Northgate Market ad or is near enough to the market to pick up an extra ad, they have 2 decent coupons on the back page this week:

$1/2 Kraft American Singles exp. 12/26/09
$.50/2 Kraft Cool Whip tubs exp. 12/26/09

There are actually quite a few members here in San Diego County. Some post here on occasion, but the rest mostly just lurk.

Today I went again and they were out of flyers. I asked an employee if I could get the $10 off turkey still. He said I had to have the coupon so I went to Customer Service. The manager was there and went into the manager's office and brought out some flyers. My flyer yesterday only had the turkey and an add for 10% off wine. Today's flyer had the $10 turkey plus Miracle Whip, sodas, and Orowheat bread. (BTW, note that the store coupon is for one Miracle Whip and my Manufactorer's q was for two)

So be sure to ask if you don't see any flyers. I wonder if they'll still honor the deal if they run out of flyers?

Yesterday I did the ice cream deal to help up my total purchase to $25 for the turkey deal so I received the $4 catalina to use on my next visit.

I returned today for the ice cream and turkey deals. However, I'm saving the $4 catalina for a future visit. If I'm reading the $10 coupon correctly, the $25 qualifying purchase is AFTER coupons thus the $4 catalina would be better spent at a later date (but before the short expiration of 12/09/09!).

Right?

Since I did the ice cream deal again today (I have a big freezer and birthdays coming up), I have two $4 catalinas to use at a future date.

That is how I read the $10 off the Turkey deal coupon too. I hope this doesn't become a habit of theirs as it is hard enough reaching the $25 minimum required before coupons during certain weeks. :shrug7:

Yes, as I specifically remember it being BEFORE coupons last time I did a deal at albies.

Yep and because of this, they lost all of my Turkey business this time around. Albertsons needs to loosen their coupon rules if they want to attract more customers into their stores, not tighten them.
