"New Posts" I just can't figure it out?

What are the parameters when you hit the New Posts button? Does it show posts for the last 24 hours? What if I hit the button the twice in the same day?

I just can't seem to figure out what posts I am actually getting. I don't want to miss anything, but I don't know how it works.

I have tried to find info on this, but couldn't. Hope this isn't a repeat question.

Thanks!When you hit the New Posts button, it will bring up the threads that have been updated since your last visit.

Updated =
New threads that were started
Old threads that have new posts.

I dont think it will bring up threads that were updated more than 24 hours earlier (in case you're away from the forum more than a day).

If you hit the button again the same day, it will show posts that were updated since the last time you hit the button.
