Looking at my reciept.

I see some lines that are like this

MC OP Scanned coupon 0.XX-

Wondering what the "OP" stands for.

:shrug7:

It means when they have to manually put in the coupon instead of it scanning, but I don't know what the actual OP stands for.

Hi I'm new to coupons and to Dillons in Springfield...I also had a Q question. I know the Dillons on Battlefield doubles coupons up to 50 cents and rounds up coupons to $1 that are over 50 cents, but does it also take Do Not Double coupons and do the same if they start with a 5? So for instance if I have an IP Q for 75 cents but it says Do Not Double, will it just be for 75 cents or will they round it up to a $1? Thanks so much for your info! I've learned so much on these forums..last week I got 235 dollars worth of groceries on the Mega Event and I paid 50..with 38 bags of free Hall's cough drops and 7.20 in overage, 17-cent margarine, 19-cent Carnation milk...it was sooo much fun I'm totally addicted! Thanks!

Welcome to the forum, Suex1996. It's good to see another Springfieldian on here. Good haul on the Mega Event!

Welcome to the club suex1996:wavehi: Do we know for sure how many Springfield people we have around here? I'm curious about that!
Anyway, I have never had a coupon not double no matter what it says on it.

Thank you all for the welcome! I have seen a couple of people in the store while shopping that I thought might be on this board! Last Sunday at about 7ish when we came in there was a blond woman with at least 1 kid...girl about 9? wearing a pink shirt...she was checking out with a LOAD of stuff..looked like about 2 or 3 turkeys and 2 cartloads full of stuff. She had coupons but I didn't want to bother anyone by standing around..no matter how much I wanted to see what she ended up paying for all that stuff! While getting my load of stuff on a previous trip, there was a woman behind me in line watching my total go down..and down..and down...told me she was impressed and asked how much I saved..she also had a pile of coupons for some playtex gloves and a few other things. Looks like I'm in good company in the Battlefield store!

Sue, I'm like fussypants- regardless of the wording, I've never had a coupon that didn't double at Dillon's. One other interesting thing about their checkout that you may not know...... It doubles regardless---meaning, I had a (rare) coupon for $1.25 and it doubled the .25, so I got $1.50 off. I loves me some Dillons!!!

My coupons above 1.00 have never doubled in any way. I've had 1.10 Qs and I got 1.10 off, not 1.20. Interesting that your store did double the cents part.

Hi there!:wavehi:
I am also a Springfieldian!!!
Exept I rarely venture down to Battlefield so your deals are safe from me!
I have never had a coupon above $1 double either....and I have used quite a few $1+ coupons. Not to say that strange things happen.... !!!
As far as DND coupons ... Do Not Double....
MOST coupons say DND and then the code that begins with 5.
These coupons should double at Dillons.......there is only ONE kind of Q that will not doulbe at Dillons, i think, and these are the DND - 9 code kind. I think in 10 years of couponing.......I THINK I have seen one.
My personal philosphy is TRY IT and if they say no....well ??? But nothing ventured nothing gained :)
Another good trick to know about Dillons in Springfield is that they will usually take an expired coupon for up to 2 weeks. Basically, one cashier told me that if it "goes through" it is good..........but if it "beeps" they can't overide it.....so like I said......I usually give them a try.....
Blessings everyone!
:)
