View Full Version : Meijer: mfg coupons NOT DOUBLING CORRECTLY!

Today I had all kinds of trouble with mfg coups not doubling correctly!

In one transaction a mfg coup would double correctly and in another the same coup would NOT double. This happened at least in 4 different transactions with various mfg coups doubling correctly and then NOT doubling in a different transaction!

Carefully watch your receipts for EVERY transaction...I wouldn't assume anything is doubling correctly from transaction to transaction.

Meijer seems to be notorious for this. I always check my receipt carefully before leaving to see what might be screwed up that day.

I had this problem today--and added to the chaos were the IPs that say DO NOT DOUBLE OR TRIPLE (which mine usually do double anyway and have never had a cashier say they can't...) In the end, CS would not do anything about it b/c some said DND... urggh...so frustrating when that throws off two hours worth of planning and shopping!

None of my smithfield bacon Q's doubled last week and they even started with a 5 so I dont know why they didnt double. I talked with a manager and he said it was because it said do not double in fine print at the bottom and that they had problems with that one all day. I told him it was meijers policy to double all coupons (.50 and under) and he said not if the coupon says do not double. He was going to check with corp about it but im sure nothing will get done about it.

I had the same experience with just one small transaction in the SCO. I had 2 BC frostings and 2 Chex Mixes and two coupons for .50/ea. Only 2 of my coupons doubled (1 of each) and the others did not. I had other things and a cat and had expected a total of .35 but it came out higher.

That happened to me too.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE write to Meijer's corporate and let them know! They generally seem pretty decent about listening to the customer base, and if we all let them know we are experiencing this Meijer-wide I am sure that they will hear us and have to do something!

I will be writing them and pointing to this thread. I hope that is alright!
