When I first read the rebate instructions, I thought one thing ... THEN, I looked at it again, and "went to thinkin' " ... now I'm confused ... help!
Mod, guess it's okay to post link here ... it was in Houston (TX) Chronicle version of SS Sunday, 11/8/09:
GREAT TASTE. BIG SAVINGS. (http://www.greattastebigsavings.com/)
and here's the qualification part (again, hoping it's okay to post):
"1) Purchase five (5) participating products (Vlasic®, Open Pit®, Armour®, Duncan Hines®, Log Cabin® or Mrs. Butterworth’s®) between 11/8/09 and 12/7/09"
-----------
(I hate these "simple" rebates ... they always confuse me!)
So, does this say:
1-- you can buy 5 of same product, say vlasic dill pickles, same size, same style, same everything, and qualify? -- (my first thought)
2--you have to buy one of each product up to 5 of them (1 vlasic, 1 armour, 1 DH, 1 Log Cabin, 1 Open Pit) -- (after I thought about it ...)
3--none of the above?
Thanks!
BTW, I didn't see this listed in the other part of the Rebates thread ... maybe I just missed it, though ...

Log Cabin® or Mrs. Butterworth’s®) between 11/8/09 and 12/7/09"
*unsnip*
Right there it says "OR" between Log cabin and Mrs. Butterworths, so I would think it could be a combination of any five or five of just one item.

I've done this rebate the past few years and yes, it can be 5 of the same product or mix/match! Too bad the start date wasn't 11/7.....I just bought a bunch of Duncan Hines cake mixes at Target on Sat pricematching WM ad, that would have been a nice MM!

Thanks folks!
I'm lucky right now, Kroger's running the cake mixes $1 each and we had a $0.55/2Q = 2/$1.45 ... did the math, figured 5 boxes and using 2 Qs would be cheaper than 6 boxes and 3 Qs.
'course, gonna add a couple items on the receipt so it doesn't appear I paid as little as I plan to pay!!

Thanks for the scenario, Jaws! I rep'd ya.
Here in CA, our Kroger's/Ralph's will only double one q. The rebate says receipt(s) so you could buy two boxes at a time so they'd double your q each time.
I, too, did not see this in the regular rebate listing. Is that because it's for coupons instead of $? I'll pm mod. and see.

...duh ... guess I need to read the rebates! Was thinking they were gonna send $5:rolleyes24: ... Ah well, coupons are good, too!!
Thanks for stating that in your post! I would've totally missed it and when the Qs came, I'd have been saying, "What? where's my check?!":hysterical:

So when you've done this in the past, do the regular Duncan Hines cake mixes qualify or just the higher priced ones such as Descendant Carrot that is pictured?

Last year, I did the icing, syrup & pickles (what a great combo LOL). I don't remember what I did prior to that. I just bought some more DH mixes, they say Moist Delux on them, so I'm going to send in the receipt/upcs.

So I guess it means anything. I just saw a Q for the muffins and was thinking of trying them out.

Here is an idea for a MM:
Five cans of Armour Potted Meat @.38 from Walmart = 1.90
I think the stuff is gross reminds me of cat food. But my husband loves it, even asked me to buy some today.
Thanks for posting this!
Can you only do this once? I need to get the copy of the printer to see the fine print.
Edit: price check at Walmart today: Armour small can of potted meat .32 cents each so 1.60/5 :BigHand:

Here's another idea ... IF you have the $0.35 peelie off frosting WYB cake or brownie mix ... AND if your Kroger triples...
here, cake mix is $1.00, frosting $1.49:
$1.00 + $1.49 <0.35><0.70> = $2.49 - 1.05 = 2/$1.44
$1.00 + $1.49 <0.35><0.70> = $2.49 - 1.05 = 2/$1.44
$1.00 cake mix ..........................................= $1.00
Total............................................. ..............$3.88
PS-- forgot who mentioned the vienna sausage ... thanks on that, too! Over the years, I've gotten so I can eat them if I have enough mustard on them (don't like mustard, either). But, it's funny you mention it being like cat food ... now and then, we'll open a can, and have to "fight" the cat for it! ... If she also didn't sometimes try to grab chicken, etc. off my plate (times when she's got temporary insanity!), it'd concern me more!!
