Anyone every used Sun Laundry Detergent? With the coupons available I was wondering if it's worth trying.

If you've used it, are you satisfied with it? Does it cause your clothes to fade? Break you out or make you itch?

Thanks for any replies.

i have used this product off and on during the past years as a child by my mom and as a mom myself now. none of my family has ever broke out or had any issues with it. it cleans just the same and does about the same job as the other cheapies out there: xtra and the like. i think with the Q's it would just be an even better deal! wish they would have had Q's for this prouduct years ago!

yes. it's really worth a try. it's nothing different than other Laundry Detergents out there.

I did not like it ..... I wouldnt buy it again, to me the Clothing smell fresh coming out of the Washer ( Yes I am that anal lol)

No itching for me but MIL has major itching problems with it.

I agree with you Jasmin it is horrible. I am anal about my washing detergent too. It gives my Daughters bumps and rashes. I don't think it makes the clothes clean either and doesn't have a smell to the clothes at all. I use liquid softener and sheets and a good detergent. I have to have my clothes smelling good all the time.

The powder form isnt too bad.. just doesnt dissolve well in just cold water. The liquid to me smells like wax. I have used it in the past when I was broke and needed something but I wouldnt put it on the top of my needs list.

If I can get it ona good deal, I would use it to wash rugs and things of that nature.

That's a pretty good idea, I never thought about that!

I used to buy this all the time when I lived in Utah (Where it is made). It is made by Huish. They also make some of the generic store brands that are great IMO. It seemed to work great there. But, they have very hard water there in UT.
Since I have moved out of state and our water isn't as hard, it doesn't seem to work as well. It still worked okay, but not as stellar as there.

The key to using any powder though is to fill up the wash with water and dissolve the detergent before you put your clothes in.

I would say try it. If it does not give results as required, then use it for your rugs.

I cant use it because it gives everyone the itchies..LOL I had about 30 bottles last yr and after the first bottle DH asked me no more itchies. So I sole the rest in a yardsale.
