I plan on getting the HJ pancake and syrup with the 1/2 Q in today's inserts- although another store in my town (Econo Foods) has lower sale prices and the same deal- so will likely go there for that one.
FrozenFlame22- that's awesome start you have- thanks for the deals:BigHand:

You can use cake mixes for more than cake! You can use the white or yellow ones (or even the sprinkle ones) to make cinnamon rolls or use devil's food and chocolate ones mixed with pudding to make some really awesome brownies. If you google cake mix recipes you'll find a whole bunch of neat stuff you can do with em. I like em for when I'm lazy and want chocolate :whistle67:

I'm with you guys, I don't know exactly what to do with 10 cake mixes. I do use them for cupcakes for the kids quite a bit. Maybe I'll check the expiration dates on the boxes to see if I could just stockpile. $3.90 for 10 boxes of cake mix is pretty good! I'll share my deal scenario. I have a $.55/1 coupon for Hungry Jack.
Like an OP, I'm stoked that the Hy-Vee cream soups are on sale again because they usually include the healthy varieties. Yay! I'm still not sure how to use that Smuckers deal most effectively. I have a peanut-allergic kid so the Jif is out. I've been using cookie mixes for things like bases for other desserts or for letting the kids roll cookies and make a mess (I feel a lot less invested if I have spent no time making really great dough!)
Anyway here are my fav deals that I posted on my blog (http://housewifehacks.com/2009/11/hy-vee-best-bargains-1110-1116/).

Ha! The last time they ran this promotion.. I got so much cake mix.. 100+ boxes because it was free... we used it for various things.. cake of course, cake cookies.. anything and everything cake :) There is a coupon out there for 40 cents off cake or frosting which would bring your cost to FREE if you have them:)
Good luck, I would get them this time around, but recently found out I can't eat soy.. and soy is in everything!!!

I know there are cake mix doctor books out there... I think I may have to invest hehe.
Sorry to hear that you just learned you can't have soy! We have a son with a peanut allergy. Soy is tough-it really is in tons of things. But hang in there you'll get used to shopping.
