I didn't see this posted yet so I hope this isn't a duplicate! The 20 count Comtrex day and night cold and cough medicine is a $2.01 MM at Wqalgreens. Heres the deal:
Buy Comtrex 20ct. $5.99
use $3.00 manf. Q. (not everyone got the $3.00Q, some will be $1.50 I think)
use $2.00 Walgreens Q from the Healthy Savings Booklet
use $3.00 Q from the December Walgreens Coupon Booklet
your final cost will be -$2.01!! Just be sure to purchase something to eat up your overage. I did this at my Walgreens this afternoon and got the Comtrex and a gallon of milk for $.48!! WooHoo!! And before anyone asks, you can use both Walgreens Q's as they are differnt coupons. They did not beep, just be sure to give your Manf. Q first, then store coupons!

Great find! According to the DB some places got 1.50, 2.00 or 3.00.
I got 2.00:smile:

OooOoo.. not sue WAGS will let you use 3 Qs on one item. Choose your friendliest locations for this! lol (and 2 fillers!)
If nothing else.... it would be FREE
Rite Aid had $3 Comtrex blinkies a few weeks ago... maybe a few still out there
11/8/09... I stand corrected! I was able to use 3 Qs on the Comtrex
$3 Q from WAGS November Savings Book
$2 Q from WAGS "Healthy Savings to help you Stay Healthy" Coupon book (found these in the pharmacy waiting area)
$1.50 MFG Q (can't remember when I got this)
So, $5.99 - $3 - $2 - $1.50 = -$0.51!

This will be good until the end of the month. That is when the coupons in the November coupon book will expire. The Comtrex is regularly priced at $5.99, so may be a sweeter deal if they put it on sale at some point in the month. Oh please, oh please!!!

This sounds like an awesome deal. However, I thought that Wags policy was to only allow one Wags Q and one Manu. Q per item. That is what it says in the FAQs. Does anyone know if they have changed their policy?
TIA

I'm thinking you can only use 1 Wag Q & 1 MQ. You have 2 Wag Q's listed, so i don't think this would be allowed.

I saw a sign at one of my stores today that said "free free, with instant coupons at counter!". So i grabbed one and asked my fave cashier how it was going to be free. So he breaks out both the $3 wags and $2 wags q's, but before he rings them up, i said, wait wait, 3+2=5, how's it going to be free (the sign says 5.99)!? So he says, "trust me?" of course! he's my fave! So he starts to ring it up and is rings up $5! Scans BOTH wags q's and my total was 0.00!!! So it's legit. I heart my cashier!
Now to see if there are more so i can use my mq to make it a MM!! Yay! Thanks.

The box I bought contained ten daytime and ten nightime coated caplets. It is in pill form, not liquid form. Says on the box it is good for nasal decongestion, sore throat pain, headache, and coughing. I HTH!!

This would be a no go at my store.
You may use an in ad coupon (it is basically a sale price with documentation ::smilenod78: ) and one store coupon... from any of the available books out right now plus a manufacturer coupon...
but you cannot stack two store coupons and then use a mfcpn on top.
so...max is
one ad coupon (to get the sale price), one store coupon (IVC is what you guys call them I think) and one manufacturer coupon.
even so this is a decent deal on cold meds..
$5.99 - $3 store coupon = $3 - 1.50 mfcpn = $1.50 oop

Has anyone tried to get multiple boxes at once? I am wondering if the Wags Q's will automatically double if I buy 2 boxes, as they usually do.

how are you finding out that you got the overage? are you checking your receipt? or are you ringing the comtrex up first then ringing up other stuff to see the overage get eaten up? TIA cuz i got a few of these today and can't see where the overage is...

I bought the Comtrex day and night capsules , Cold & Cough I was able to use all 3 coupons with no problems ,
$5.99 Comtrex
-$3.00 wag's
-$2.00 wag's
-$1.50 mfcp coupon
so I made some overage , I did the sale with the nyquil offer , so maybe it worked for me with other items ,

I have 2 different books the Healthy savings and the November coupon book, but both coupons are for $3 and they both have the same barcode. Is that the same for anyone else?

momoftrouble: you would need the $3 Coupon from the November coupon book and the $2 Coupon from the 1st Healthy Savings Book. (not the new book everyone is talking about, it seems that is the one you have) HTH:)
You are right, the November book and this new Healthy Savings Book have the exact same coupon in them. So, they would not work together.

Well Geez how many coupon books do they have out? LOL. Coincidentally I didn't see this post before I went out and did my shopping and I had my coupons all grouped together with the two identical coupons. While I was shopping around the store I ran across a stack of the coupon books with the $2 Comtrex in there. Thank God because I would have been really confused when my total came up higher than I expected. I still repped you though because if someone else reads this who thinks they are just as prepared as I thought I was, will see there is yet still another book out there :)

Well Geez how many coupon books do they have out? LOL.
This is why Wags is so hard to keep straight!
There are 8 different places to get Wags coupons right now that I can think of:
--the Wags weekly ad
--Wags online site/ extra one week coupons
--the November book
--the original Healthy Savings Book
--the November Healthy Savings Book (mom on cover)
--the Diabetes and You magazine
--the Children's Activity Book
--the ABC savings guide that's in a display
I finally had to make the list above to keep up with everything. Ah, give me CVS anytime, it's a breeze compared to Wags, which takes calculating coupons and filler, which RR's to roll, etc. Somehow ECB's are easier to keep up with. But I did like the $.09 Kleenex yesterday.

This is still going on at my stores. They have signs up saying get one free Comtrex and the cashiers have two WAG coupons to scan and one code to enter by number. I'm not a little piggy and just get one each trip through, along with the manufacturer's coupon for the overage.

Isn't this coupon for the larger box & what's on sale has a lower count?
CW&M Mom
12-16-2009, 01:52:55 PM
It says a 20 count on it. The other coupon isn't count specific. I've actually only seen one size at my store....I don't have a box in front of me to confirm it's a 20 count.
But I know I go to the only row of boxes in the store and it's been working for me.

This was a bait and switch at my Walgreens in Oklahoma. The first boxes I purchased were 20 count for $5.99. Now they are selling 10 count, or 10 +5 bonus pills for $5.99, so the coupon for the 20 count won't work.
I think they'll get a lump of coal for being naughty.

Ahhhh mine have come out with the new ones too....I've been slowly buying all the old ones...bugger.
I'm heading to joplin tomorrow...so I'll be stopping at all the walgreens to see if I can find any of the old package.
What's dumb...is it's their coupon in their book this month...that you can't even use with the bigger size.
I think I surprised the Walgreens gal, when I had her void the whole thing...she was like??? You don't want it...um no.

Found mine by the pharmacy, on a flu shot table, by the beauty counter register and by the front register. Most people have been reporting that they have found theirs by the pharmacy.
