Has stock been better at your store this triples?

The extremely friendly associate checking me out the other day was telling me about 2 things HT is doing to try to do better with inventory and coupons:

1) They're tracking what coupons are used, especially when coupled with sales, to try to have better stock of hot items when they are on sale plus coupons.

2) The rainchecks have control numbers on them now, so they know which stores run out of which stuff often.....sounds like that will help them know which things to pull more of from the warehouse when sales come up.

I know the raincheck things is a pain, but I think it's great they are trying to do better on inventory. I have pretty much already used up my coupons since I haven't been buying papers lately (I am LITERALLY running out of room, even with my massive storage system), but it does seem the stock has been much better. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to use up my many coupons on Suave and Sweet Sue chicken this time.

My HT has plenty of tuna, both Bumble Bee and Starkist. I've never been able to say that before. But, NO Heinz ketchup since early yesterday morning and the man who was stocking when I was there this morning said they are out at the warehouse. I was able to get some Sue Bee at 6:30 Wednesday morning but it has not been re-stocked. Overall, the stock seems a little better than in the past.

Can't tell any difference from past triples-no Viva,Starkist or Heinz. I just went on and got the Heinz for .50 as I knew the small space for it would be gone and I'd never get any free.

My store has been doing better. They were out of 9 Lives today, but the other BOGO items I usually get were in stock.

I've done 2 trips so far and have found everything for both trips (and then some...lol). The store was very well stocked and there must have been 4 or 5 stockers filling the shelves today.

I have not come across anything out of stock except the Heinz. Thankfully that was the first thing I went for Wed. early AM, got my 3 and I'm happy.
I think Heinz really took them by surprise. Is the warehouse out?

I went to 2 stores and neither had the heinz the first day in the morning-but that was the only thing the first did that I didn't find that I wanted.
Now yesterday is a different story. My store (which isn't tiny but not the normal size I find either) didn't have the spagetti or the mazola but had tons of crackers that were free (I think there are 2 seperate displays along with the normal shelf space). I only used 10 coupons on Friday but my husband was also with me and whining he was ready to leave after 5 minutes in the store so after making him wait another 15 I decided we could leave.

I've been to 3 HTs close to me and all 3 have been out of the welch drinks since the 2nd day. I did find some today (but not the kind I wanted) so I left them. Spoke to CS person before I left, they are expecting a shipment of them on tuesday, so I'll go back then.

Stock has been much better this time. The Harris Teeter sugar was out but they were substituting with Domino's so I didn't even have to ask for a rain check. The only thing I couldn't get enough of is Sweet Sue's Chicken and Dumplings, but they are always scarce on these. And trucks were unloading daily at every store I went to.

My store is totally stocked up. ..well minus the Heinz I guess. (I didnt look at that today though) Yesterday they had a shelf full of the little guys still. Viva is still in good supply, and was actually even restocked.

My local HT is out of almost everything. They have not had the Bumble Bee tuna pouches for 3 weeks, and have slid the Starkist over infront of the tag. I wonder how many people are buying the Starkist thinking it's 3/$3. I don't think they are ordering it.

and I seriously believe they pulled the Vivas! I went in early Wednesday and there were none, but there was a whole shelf on Tuesday night. There haven't been any all week and everyone I talk to in the store that coupons has said they haven't seen any either.
Just restocked the Franks today, and still have some flavors of the Jolly Time popcorn.

My stores have actually been worse on stock this time around than the last triples. They never restocked the Viva since the last triples, they are out of Starkist, Bumblebee, Carnation milk, Mt Olive relish, Welches juice, Muellers, the .99 flour and the .99 sugar. All these were out (or almost) when I shopped Wed morning at 9 AM and have not been restocked. I don't know about Heinz because we didn't get that coupon in this area and I have a cabinet full of Hunts ketchup anyway. I did manage to get one bag of flour the first day of the sale and have gotten a raincheck everyday since. :biggrin:

I think there are a ton of new couponers in this area. Last time I only saw one or two others with coupons the entire week. This week when I went on Thursday there were at least three other couponers in EVERY aisle and several were shopping in pairs where it was obvious that one was coaching the other what to buy. I'm happy to teach people about couponing, but I'm dumbfounded at SO many people deciding to learn all of a sudden. I do hope HT takes note of the increase in couponers and increases stock next time around.

They actually restocked my stores today (or last night)! Except for the Viva, I got almost everything that had been out all week today: Starkist tuna, Bumble bee, Muellers, even the Welches juice that I haven't been able to get ONCE during the past three triples. :BigHand:

Thursday was bad, so I went to a different town on Friday and found EVERYTHING was stocked. Went back to normal store today and they had restocked - including the tuna. The only items out today were the martha washington muffins and hungry jack syrup and they said they were getting a truck tonight.

Mine was hit hard sunday. I went later in the day and OH MY...I went again this morning and they had even less. They said they get a truck tonight though. I got RC and I will hold them no biggie. I really needed the Bakers Secret though.

Yes, but rainchecks at HT never expire. As long as your coupons aren't expiring soon you can hold onto them for the next triples sale.

There were 2 stores here that I was shocked to see Heinz and everything else at last night. I had not planned to go to HT yesterday but as I was finishing my drug store runs, I decided to pop in. Am I ever glad I did! I got my Heinz (which I had resigned myself to not getting---felt like I had won the lottery!) and the Mazola spray. I will go again tomorrow and pray that they have the Jolly time popcorn.
