So on my way home after work, I dropped by Lowes Foods to get some stuff and had a new cashier, probably on her first day.
Here's what I got:
14 - Old Orchard Healthy Balance Juice (various flavors)
12 - Tony's Pizza
2 - Betty Crocker Pouch Potatoes
I had the new cashier break it up into 3 transactions so I could get the pizzas for free. She had no problem with that. After she rang up the items in the first transction (4 pizzas), I gave her my coupons and she just looked at me like a deer in headlights. She then called the manager over and asked what she was suppose to do with them. :hysterical:
Any way, he told her to scan them and the register would do the rest. He stood there the rest of the time to make sure she didn't have any problems. After she scanned my coupons, the total was $.04. Again, deer in headlights. She looked back at the manager with the same look...she didn't say anything, just stared at him. He told her that was correct. I gave her my nickle, and she gave me a penny back.
Second transaction: same as the first, gave her my nickle, got a penny back.
Third transaction: this time the transaction was 14 Old Orchard, 4 pizzas, and 2 BC potato pouches. She rang everything up, I gave her my stack of coupons and 1 $5 FRC, and the total was $1.07. After she saw the total, she turned around and started arguing with the manager that it couldn't be correct. He calmly nodded at her and said, "He does that all the time."
Who? Me? :whistle67:
