Last year walgreens did the $5RR on bayer meters, like this coming weeks ad. I was wondering if anyone knew if they plan on having the $10RR deal? That was an even sweeter deal :D

IDK if they will but I am holding some q's back for if they do.

We don't have any ads right now that say that there will be a $10 RR deal in the future. I am going to bet that there will be at least another $5 RR deal before the coupons expire. I think that I may sit this one out because right now my problem is rolling all the RRs that I already have.

I'm hoping for a $10 RR down the road. I'll probably get two next week and hang on to the rest of my Q's.

I've received two Bayer rebates this year, and from what I understand there is a limit of four per household. Does anyone know if the limit is 4 per household is per year, or four per household maximum?

For those of you who are wondering about the MIR, I sent in a rebate receipt for each meter purchased and received the rebate both times.

Thanks for the update. It is so great to have someone here who knows the real scoop.

The new coupons expire at the end of April, so I am going to keep my fingers crossed for another deal. I had a friend who sometimes has extra inserts from his convenience store stop by work tonight and give me six more sets inserts from that week. I may just have to use a couple of them this next week, even though I really want to wait for a better deal. :giggle2:

I tried that and they sent a letter back to me saying that because I got them for free with the coupon they wouldn't let me do it.

Should I try it again?:rolleyes24::thanks7:

I went to a 24 hour Walgreens Saturday night about 11 PM, and instead of a RR with the meter, it printed a manufacturers coupon to save $5 on test strips. Can anyone verify for me if the regular RR is printing today? I had three meters to buy, but when I saw that the RR wasn't printing I only bought the one. Thanks for your help!

You bought it too early. $5 RR are printing today just fine. Make sure when you go back to look for the Glucose meter with the FREE A1C meter attached. Some are handing on the side of endcaps and others are on the shelves behind the pharmacy counter.

The rebate is not meant to be a moneymaker, it is meant to help people who do not already have a coupon for the meter get some money back to make it more affordable. (If you get a RR and pay cash and send in for the rebate, that's fine, but if you use a coupon to make it free they can clearly see it on the receipt and can see that you are not due any money back since you didn't pay any money for it.) You didn't get a rebate b/c there was nothing for the to refund back to you since you already got it for free. People who DO get the rebate either actually paid some money OOP for it, or got people processing their rebate form that weren't paying attention to the receipt as much as they should have.

I bought 20 today, 6 with the free AIC meter. I received a $1.00 off Colgate on 12 of them, $5 off strips on 12 of them and $5 RR on all 20 of them.

I got two of the meters today. One with my big order and one all by itself. I got the RR with the big order, but the one by itself no RR printed. I didn't want to draw attention to myself as I like to be able to shop multiple times during the week and I figured I got the meter for only the tax, so not going to complain......but......I will make sure I buy something else with it for my other coupons!!!!

I have gotten 16 so far and half were done individually with no other items and the RR printed every time. The rest of the time I bought them with other items, but only one per transaction, and again the RR printed for each and every one. I am hoping to buy another 6 or 7 at the end of the week.

Grabbed a few last night... got one with the FREE A1C Meter... $5 RR The other 2 were the meters only.... $5 RR... $5 off test strips...$1 off Colgate. It appears that the meters "only" come with the extra Qs. The meter w/FREE A1C is RR only.

Was going to go back to one store that had 1 meter w/FREE A1C.. but I got "barked" at for not being home on time.... :rolleyes24: :wink7: :giggle2:

So far i have bought 4 meters and got my $5rr each time. One thing that was odd though was the register didnt charge me any tax on either of the 4 transactions. The last time they had this deal it did. :shrug7:
What is everyone going to use their rr on?

It runs through the 14th.

You can find out when all the deals start and end in UrbanMama's super cool thread that she keeps up with for us. Link. (http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/walgreens-catalina-deals-register-rewards/275505-current-walgreens-register-reward-summary.html)

I'm just gonna get as many as I can this week since the coupon expires the end of this month. Irishlass has stated there are no deals through Dec 5th so best to use them up.

Strange that every store except for one has let me buy as many as I have wanted. No one pressing the limit..hmmm not used to that at Wags. But very happy! :BigHand: Mom and I have lots of RR's to spend.

I've had a few not print.. Catalina machines are getting a workout! But, I've held my ground and the managers have voided the original trans and done them over... and VOILA! RRs print!

I just get so scattered... I need to start making lists of what I'm getting and how many items I need for the Qs I have... (Disorganization is setting in!) :giggle2:

My Qs that came out a few weeks ago don't expire until 4/30/10.

You paid with a coupon that just so happened to make the item free.

A manufacturer's cents off coupon is a form of ... payment.

+

I would have asked the manager to execute a new transaction to see it the RR would print.

If it did, the manager could easily void that transaction and hand your the RR.

+

Regarding the 'buying it if you did not need it' issue ...

It is none of the employee's bee's wax what you are going to do with the item that you are purchasing at their store.

For all that matters, you could purchase something and, as soon as you leave the store, toss it into the garbage can provided!

Managers should be worried about moving merchandise and not giving their customers grief.

do the stores stock up each day on these monitors because i hit 4 walgreens yesterday and only 1 store had 1 on the shelf.. everyone else were completely out..At one local Walgreens, it seems like every other day one or two of the bonus packs (with the A1C box) appear on the shelf.

The bonus pack is twice the size so it is difficult to place on the shelf, so they place them sideways.

I have a feeling that some / many stores have them in back and they like to gradually 'release' them so that the shelves do not get cleared too often.

Another thread talks about truck delivery dates.

http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/walgreens/288479-walgreens-asking-help-when-weekly-delivery-truck-will-arrive.html

Knowing when your local Walgreens receives a truck delivery can help a shopper avoid out-of-stockitis.

Earlier in the week, all my Bayer RRs were printing just fine.Today, my RRs for this deal didn't print at 2 different WAGs. At another store I tried today, they did print. I'm going to hit another one tonight to see if I have luck.

Terence - thank you so much for the tip about the meter batteries being the same ones used in some car key fobs!! What timing - mine was wearing down and I was just complaining about having to replace it when I found the Contour meter batteries would work, and that each meter has 2 batteries. You are awesome - I NEVER would have thought to look!
