Super Doubles ??????

My SIL talked to her friend at HT and she told her that super doubles will be starting on Wednesday Nov. 11. Could this actually be true? Where oh where do we put everything?

That would be sweet! I have some rainchecks from the $6.99 pampers that would go perfectly with the $1.50 off qs (doubled to $3.00)!! Now I just don't know if I should use the qs at FL or possibly wait for HT super doubles!! I guess I could always get more qs!

where are you? city and state?
The Charlotte area and others are having triples Nov. 4-10.
To have Super Doubles the 11th-17th would be UN-precedented.

Un-precedended means it has never happened.
If it's triples in our area this week, and then super doubles next week in your area, I can buy it. Otherwise it's a very shaky possibility, based on 5 years experience with triples and doubles at 3+ different grocery chains)

super double means they double all coupons up to and including 1.99 so a 1.5 q becomes $3.00 off $1=$2 and so on and so forth

HHHUUUMMM....

I know my HT is hurting for sales. They have cut back on employees and hours (my friend went from 30 a week to 20 and the Dairy manager said he has been cut back on help). I would kinda be surprised if they did it right way, but who knows. I think it depends on how Triples works out for them. My store doesn't seem as busy as it has been, but then again, I am there first thing in the morning. I was surprised I was able to get so many free/cheap items the second day. Yesterday my store had TONS of Crackers, spagetti (though I think people may have already used those Q), yeast, sugar, free popcorns (Smart balance, Jiffy, Act were all FAC) , Progresso Broths, dawn and scrubbing bubbles.

For my store in particular it is a rough area. They just opened and Aldi's across from Walmart which is visible from my HT, and we have a Food Lion across the street. I know HT is the cheapest for sales especially when coupled with a coupon, but the majority of the people either don't coupon or are too dumb to realize that. HT has a reputation for being higher priced and that is what people still think, even though HT has started to make a REAL effort to get thier prices comparable to Walmart (with all these new signs saying this).

I just found out Wednesday night that my husbands entire family is coming for Thanksgiving. That is 9 extra people! Thankfully, his aunt is taking care of the actual Turkey day meal, but I need to feed these people breakfast and other meals. Yay for triples, but SDs would be great, too! Even if they do it Nov 18-24 it would be such a help. :BigHand:

Thanks, leget! Yeah, I think it is more likely that HT would do SDs Nov 18-24. And yeah, it would be good to have a week to make lists and compile coupons. I don't care *when* they do SDs, I just hope they do it before Thanksgiving! :beg4:

Here in Nashville - the Kroger's close to HT do triples and SD whenever HT does. I am so worn out by the end of it - 2 stores/day. Kroger also has had the mega deal going as well so the math eventually wears me out!!! Not complaining though!!!

I've heard yes from 2 different sources, at 2 different stores. But ~ I won't believe either of them until I see the ad.

Ok, I would take that to mean, and maybe totally wrong, that the Charlotte area is not in that area where the possible Super Doubles would follow, the week after triples.
UNLESS, your area did have triples this week.........

If HT did it system wide (super doubles the week after triples and an unprecedented move) they either love the extra sales, or they are hurting and need the extra sales. I hope they are not desparate.....they could go bankrupt like Bi-Lo and be sold to some coupon hater's like Food Lion.

The "price patrol" at one of my HT stores showed me the ad and there are NO SUPER DOUBLES 11/11/09 TO 11/17/09. She said most likely the week of 11/18/09 to 11/24/09--the week before the Thanksgiving Holidays!:sad:

I gotta have time to make room! :giggle2: I was in HT yesterday, and asked one of the workers there about SDs starting 11/11, and he said "GAWD, I hope not!" :hysterical: But I will be disappointed if SDs don't happen 11/18 - 11/24. I need them! I will probably go ahead and pull all of my $1 and $1.50 coupons that expire 11/30 or sooner and have them ready. :beg4:

the best source is your weekly ad........no sense hoping too much on questionable sources, only to be disappointed.

Someone said may be the 18th. That will still get in the coupons that expire Nov. 30th so let it happen.
